Is there any app or zip file which can provide me double tap wakeup feature???
thanks in advance.
No.
Sent from my XT1063/64
Tap to wake is a function that must be added or developed from kernel. I can be done like it was on moto G, but it has to be developed.
So no, an app won't give you that functionality.
If it does, the phone can't enter deep sleep and the screen would be aways on. Something like that wold drain the battery too fast...
Does the note 4 have a kernel tat supports double tap to wake? I cannot seem to find one if there is. Any help is much appreciated.
EDIT: Nvm found a thread for this. Delete pls.

I would to buy this phone. There is a way (with root or mod) to wake it with the double tap or with "double tap on softkey" or similar?
I've a Nexus 5X, the rear fingerprint sensor is helfulp when I've the phone in hand, but useless when it's on the desk. I use elementalx with dt2w and smart lock (with my huawei watch) to unlock it.
Is there a similar feature on the Mi A1?
No, kernel doesn't support this.

And there isn't a custom kernel because Xiaomi didn't released the kernel sources, it is?
You can always turn on display with "wave over proximity sensor" gesture (several apps available). I find it more convenient than double tap, especially when I have my phone on a desk stand.

So far there's only one other kernel, ported from a different device but it's not fully working and especially not as daily driver.
I've checked all the double tap threads and no one seems to know why it's not working for some.
I tried both Elite ROM 7.3 and crDroid. They both have the option enabled by default (double checked all the settings), but my screen doesn't care about that.
Can my hardware be different than what others have? Any way to see if that's the problem? Maybe by comparing with others.
