[Q] Excidently wiped all the data on Nexus 7

My nexus 7 was rooted with Bugless beast rom 11/10/2012. I'm an android virgin so this is my first android device.
It all started when i was trying to change the font of my device using rom toolbox pro. then I rebooted the device. The screen was stuck at the nexus 7 logo for about 30 minutes or so. So I went into recovery mode and formatted the internal memory. Then I restarted it and the same thing happened. So i thought that there was something wrong with the installed stuffs inside the internal memory.I got panicked so i deleted everything on the device. Now i can only enter fastboot mode and whenever i press to enter recovery mode, a picture of android lying down with a red caution sign on top of it. I tried using google nexus 7 toolkit and nexus root toolkit to restore from my backup, stock rom and it says that adb device was not found.Plus before all this happened, I turned the developer and usb debugging off. Now I dont know what to do. Someone please help me. Its just a pity to let my beloved tablet to go to waste.
Hey, have you read topic above your post? Part Flashing the Factory Image is exactly what you need.
BTW, that topic isn't full enough for newbies. You also need this:
How to load Google Nexus 7 Fastboot Mode?
1) Turn off Nexus 7.
2) Press and hold down Volume Up + Volume Down buttons. Then power on Nexus 7.
Release all buttons when you see Google Logo. Google Nexus 7 Fastboot Mode will be loaded then.

HELP! Bricked Nexus 7, cannot boot into boot loader

Hello everyone, I'm new in this forum and have just bricked my Nexus 7 .
I was not very happy with my Nexus 7 with JB version 4.2.1, it lagged and took long time to load apps etc. I used the Nexus 7 toolkit to unlock my bootloader, flash recovery and then tried a few custom roms. I eventually flash the official 4.1.2 firmware from google but the constant notification for firmware update annoyed me and I decided to root and get rid of the firmware update notifications by installing fotakill.apk.
But when I tried to root using the Nexus 7 toolkit, I chose the option to sideload the zip files for rooting automatically. It asked to flash my boot loader to a lower version (3.34, mine was 3.41) and afterwards it rebooted the device and eventually got stuck at a screen with these lines:
now send the package you want to apply
to the device with adb sideload <filename>
after a long time without anything happening, I suspected that things went wrong and pressed the power button for a few seconds and the device turned off. Now I cannot turn it back on, when plugged in it doesn't show the charging battery, also I cannot boot into fastboot mode by holding Volume down + Power button. The screen stays black the whole time.
I even tried to open the back power and pull the battery out and in again and try to turn on the tablet, nothing happens. I remember the battery level was like roughly 90% the last time the tablet was working, so I don't know what went wrong .

I tried that but nothing happened .
Press all buttons on the side simultaniously untill fastboot/bootloader mode appears. This should work, no matter if your device is booted or not, or soft bricked or whatever. Then: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907796 .
If it doesn't work however (like after 30-60 seconds), then connect your nexus 7 to your PC. Go to device manager and identify your device. Does it say apx-mode or something like that? Then your device is possibly hard bricked and you might find some answers here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1879228 .
Your should not have used rootkits. Most of these topics appear after people using toolkit. Learn to use fastboot. It's the only program you'll need for the nexus 7. Yes, it's a command line tool but at least it forces you to think before flashing. For example, it was not necessary to downgrade your bootloader. I really don't get why you did that. Also, if you want to run a stable 4.1.2 without the annoying update messages, you can, for example, flash cyanogenmod 10. It's stable, very smooth, and way better than stock.

Thanks I did a search and finally found an answer. I was running fine on my N7 with PACMan and suddenly it got stuck booting up. So I booted into recovery and reflashed the ROM, and wiped dalvik and cache. When I rebooted it went to "Android is upgrading" like usual after wiping dalvik, then it got stuck there. So I rebooted again and nothing. Just a blank screen. Your suggestion of holding all the buttons down for 30-60 seconds awoke my Nexus. I'm going to wipe everything and start over.

[Q] HELP!! 4.4 update

i tried to update to 4.4 through factory image files and i wounded up getting stuck on the nexus symbol and it wont boot up!!
i tried then going to recover mode but its not even doing that! the furthest i can get is into fastboot mode and when i go to recovery mode theres just the red triangle with no menu at all.. just the picture with the red triangle.. all i can do from there is hard reboot
so the situation is..boot stuck and no recovery
thanks for the help!
Well you should be fine. The little red triangle is normal, it is the screen you get before it goes to stock recovery. If you were to google that, you'd see you need to depress the power button and the volume up buttons at the same time. You keep them pressed together for about 4-5 seconds before it goes into recovery. Once you do that do a factory reset and see if that works.
BTW when you post like this make sure you include a little more detail how you got to where you are. Like what operating system you are using, Windows _, Ubuntu __._, or IOS. Also if you were using a tool kit. If you have ADB and Fastboot installed, etc., helps w/ the diagnosis if you know what I mean.

Maybe your factory image is corrupted. I downloaded the factory image from Google, checked the MD5 to make sure it was right, and then flashed it with no problem.
wipe data / factory reset on STOCK recovery.

[Q] Bricked Phone, need help

Hey all,
I recently was playing with some ROMs with my LG G2, seeing which was the best for me, and along the way, I messed up and now I am stuck in a fastboot screen, with nothing but a little bit of white text on a black background that says "Fastboot mode started, udc_start()". I have no clue what to do, and I really need some guidance. I played around for a bit and now I believe the phone is completely wiped. Can anyone help?
bump, can anyone help? Im dying here.
Hold down power for 15 seconds. Then hold power and volume down till white screen appears. Press power 3 times. Should be in recovery now if you had recovery installed.

If this does not work you can revert to stock by downloading orginal firmware in .kdz format and flash it with Flashtool

help.. i tap something that i forgot in ... may be in "##4433386368# - Developer menu*" or somewhere(Sprint Dialer Codes) now i can't connect to my computer... i'm not allowed to post ... so ....anyone can help me ?
You need to first download the kdz and lg flash utility with drivers.
Install drivers
The factory reset deleting system, cache, internal sd.
Then shutdown your g2.
Start to downloaded mode connecting your g2
Flash kdz & voila... Done
I too bricked my phone before. My flashing stuck at 49%. Recovered using above method, all is well now
This works 1000%. I bet on it. Just remember to wipe the phone completely before flashing. You will return to stock with unrooted status in download mode. U will have your warranty back too

[HELP PLEASE!] Forgot encryption password cannt recover!

Hello XDA
First off let me tell you what im running.
Nexus 4 running Cyanogenmod 11 with USB debugging turned off.
So my I bought this phone used and allowed my brother to install a custom ROM on it. I also gave him the OK when he asked me if he can encrypt the phone. (No problem, what can go wrong right?) Well it turns out nothing did go wrong but the only thing is when I went to go change the password I only changed the SCREEN LOCK password not the encryption password thinking they were the same. When i went to go boot up my phone today it asked for the encryption password but wont accept the lock password. Went to ask my brother for the password and he said he forgot because he had already told it to me.
Now im stuck with a possible broken phone =[
Steps I have tired: after painstaking hours on google and XDA looking for an answer
- I have tired to download TWRP but cant install the zip file because i cant get the fastboot to show USB FASTBOOT
- I have tired recovery mode with ClockworkMod Recovery v6.0.4.7 and tired the cwipe data/ factory reset with no luck
Can someone please guide me in the right direction on what I should do to fix my phone?
Many Thanks!!
Flash the factory image in fastboot. It'll wipe the device and return it to like new. If you don't have fastboot Google 15 second adb install xda

I installed the 15 secs ADB but when i run the program, it quickly shows a DOS screen then auto closes. Would this still work with USB debugging turned off on my android?
EDIT
the phone doesnt even show up on my device manager, after typing "adb devices" no devices show up. I have tired to manually install the drivers but it wont show up on device manager
You can just factory reset the phone to remove encryption. Boot the phone into recovery mode. When you see the "no command" screen hol vol-up and tap power, then you can wipe the device.
