No, you have to flash it using fastboot.

Wipe data and cache, then just flash another rom.

I would make sure I have a backup of anything important and then just use the flash-all.bat file in the 4.2.1 package.
That's it? Updated boot loader and radio won't interfere with 4.2.1 ROM?

Hello! I rooted my phone and installed custom recovery using Mskip's toolkit. How can I update the CWM recovery? Can I install it using ROM manager and do I need to update there or just install a newer version?

You can update recovery from rom manager app. Touch version costs extra though. For manual flashing, all of the images are available for download on his site.

You can't use 4.2.2 releases from Franco in 4.3 but he post #170 and #171 for 4.3

Do a search in the thread for 'r171' and you should find it. If it's provided in .img , you can use fastboot to flash it. (fastboot flash boot boot.img)
Another method is to take any other Franco.kernel zip and replace the boot.img inside using an archive manager on your pc. Then just flash the modified zip in recovery.

Okay, thanks! Any reason why we need to use fastboot rather than TWRP or something?

No. It's just a different method in flashing a kernel.

If its an img file you need to use fastboot. Twrp will only flash files that are packaged in the correct manner.
Hi everyone, is there a stock 4.3 ROM.zip anywhere? I could only find downloads for the original stock Google images that needed a computer and couldn't be flashed through a recovery. Cheers

So the last 2 times I have updated ota I have gone into a bootloop. I tried complete wipe then flashing kk modem then pa and pa gapps to only be stuck in another boot loop! At this point I'd just like to be able to get a 4.4 rom. How do I do it without bootlooping? Thanks!
Here's my software info!

Download a 4.4 ROM from here, copy it to your phone, then flash it in recovery.

@hdjx20 You need the KK modem as well. Wipe, then flash modem before or after rom/gapps.
