[Q] N7 2012 Lollipop home screens backwards? - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just installed Lollipop and the Google Now Launcher, but the home screen layouts are all backwards...right down to the navigation buttons at the bottom.
To get to the Google Now page, I have to swipe all the way to the RIGHT.
The Nav buttons on the bottom are reversed compared to my Nexus 9. The Multitask button is on the left, Home button in the middle, and Back button is on the right.
I'm finding this rather annoying and wonder is this the default layout for the Nexus 7?? Is there a setting that I'm missing??
I find this rather bizarre!

You've got a right-to-left language selected (such as Hebrew), which reverses the entire screen. Go into "Settings->Language & Input->Language", and set it back to English(United States). If you already have that selected, try English(Canada).
---update---
Aha, I found it. There's a new setting in Lollipop under "Settings -> Developer Settings". There's a checkbox that says 'always make screen RTL (Right-To-Left), regardless of language'. Uncheck this box, and your screen will return back to normal.

opera 9.7 border disappears

well when I use opera for a while it seems that the border just disappears (back favorites tabs home options) does anyone know why that is ? can it be running out of memory?
It just disappears so that you can see the whole screen and view it, if you want to get it back all you have to do is hit the little button at the bottom right.
It gets annoying at times, no idea if there is a way to keep the border and buttons up.
Just go to the settings menu, choose display and then uncheck "Automatic full screen"
right I knew that much but what I ment was the button disappears and I cant click anything. if I click physical back button it will go back a screen but the border still remains hiddenand three area where the refresh button is is black. any ideas?

Home button - Is there a way to assign a default screen/panel number?

When home button is tapped it brings you to the last panel/screen you have until you have more then 4 of them, after that it will bring you to the 4th one if you tap home screen when already in the home screen. I think there should be a way to assign any screen as a default one but I couldn't find how.
Launcher Pro can do it. Of course if you like using the Touch Wiz interface it wouldn't work.
Preferences > Home Screen Settings > Default Screen
I like TW, so no way to do it in TW... that's a shame
Found this after looking through the tips thread. I like touchwiz too, too bad this can't be changed.
seriosuly this sucks, i want 3 screens, and the middle one (#2) to be the home but it always brings me to #3. annoying.

How to TURN OFF 3 tap inverted colors for note 4

Hi, most of you know already, if you tap the capacitive menu button 3 times, the screen changes to inverted colors.
HOW can I turn that function off????
The reason is I used "All in one gesture" app to remapp the menu button to "back" button. and when I quickly press the "menu (now back button)" to get out of an app, the screen inverts!
I'm rooted stock lollipop 5.1.1
This one is a head scratcher for sure. TIA

How to Hide On Screen Buttons?

I have seen that prior LG phones including the V10 had a menu option to auto hide the three on screen soft keys at the bottom of the display, yet I don't seem to see that option on my V20. Am I simply missing it or does anyone know of an alternate way?
Go to settings > Display > Home Touch Buttons > Hide home touch buttons and then choose which apps you want to do it for

Selections not sticking in Home screen settings.

Hello all
I just picked up a AT&T S5e last night and was setting it up as much as I could the same as my AT&T Note 9, and for the most part everything worked fine, but in the section for Display>Home screen, there were two options I was trying to get working that would not.
The first was the Home Screen grid layout which for every time I tap on it, it just takes me to the regular full-size home screen and not the screen one that shows it smaller and with the few options below to change the grid layout.
Oddly it does this for the next option down of the Apps grid screen, but not the Home screen grid.
Then the second issue is the selection slider for the Apps button to have that button shown on the Home screen and for that the selector actually slides to the right an goes blue, but when I close this setting page and open it back up, its back to the left again as in that it did not save that selection.
Needless to say the Apps button is not on my Home screen either.
Oddly both of these work correctly on my AT&T Note 9 phone and both when it had Android 9 and now with the 10 upgrade, but they won’t do this on my S5e.
Also btw, I did do the One UI Home upgrade and its now showing it as version 10.0.35.14, and that it’s the latest version.
So has any one else had these same problems?
Thanks
