Regarding Moto G L Update (XT1031) - Moto G General

Found out through premium Boost Mobile support that the Moto G internal testing failed (wiped data) so it's been pushed back until Moto responds to them.
So if you have the Boost Mobile Moto G, expect delays.
I don't have a transcript as it was a phone call. But Premium Support is usually on top of this stuff.

Wow...another one, huh.
I'll say that I have boost and couldnt care less. Devs are working on things and I'm sure we will get some flavor of lollipop around the sane time as other moto g users.

Boost got 4.4.4 nearly 4 months late. The only reason I care is to grab the OTA update file.

Fairly certain all posts about lollipop update are to go in this thread now http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2927984
The threads for people just wanting/waiting for the update are getting out of hand and there is no sense in opening a new one every time when it can all be posted in one place

I apologize. I just woke up a bit ago, and called boost. Mods, you can lock this, or simply merge with the above thread.

As requested.

For those with the 2.1 Leak

It is very broken as most of us who have it know. No Google Earth, many apps closing for no apparent reason, etc. I was wondering if there is anything out there to R00T or Upgrade to 2.1 OTA/2.2 FroYo ?
SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH or just open any of the 125745578154785147852315784328596 threads already on this

You're an idiot. If you spent even 5 minutes browsing these boards you would have seen over 9000 threads pertaining to this. Which leak version are you on? Do you even know? Search for V3 leak and install it, its the same as the OTA update and fixes a lot of bugs from the first leak. and no you can't root.
And trust me, you're not just annoying abn75 and I. I'm sure most of the leakers are even sick of these f*cking threads.
d00d, its pretty bad when WalkingTaco is right.
To get information/status on root read the official root status thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=666759&page=12
leakers will get the OTA by 5/24 (quoting the VERY UNRELIABLE VZW twitter support)
I don't think the eris will ever get official froyo but for people with root there is already a froyo ROM based off 2.2 SDK, it is buggy and slow but will get much better when the source code for froyo is released.
I'm sure most of the leakers are even sick of these f*cking threads.

Man the question has been answered in every single thread and post about this subject. As soon as someone figures out how to root the leak, or update the leak it will be posted all over the place. Asking every single day, multiple times does not make the devs want to work on it any faster, nor will it force vzw to possibly release a update for the leaks any faster. The devs get tired of being bugged about the status of the leak, so asking them over and over and over again may actually cause them to stop working on it completely. And as for vzw, well I think we know where they stand.
lol .. sorry but i gotta agree with walking_taco and kevlar...im not on leak but i still take the time to read before posting maybe instead of posting a question that has been answered in atleast 9000 other posts, maybe u could have used half the time it took you to write the ? and answered it for yourself and not have to listen to ppl ***** about u asking a previously answered question.. these forums and threads are here for a reason and there is soooooo much information you can find out by just taking the time to read.. and the devs on here as well as the members are very helpful if you can just take the time to help yourself as well.. im not trying to be an (_0_) but just pointing out some facts is all..

I did not know about further leaks as I was not a part of this board until today, just kinda lurked whenever Gizmodo or Engadget linked here.
Thank you again for your assisstance, I truly appreciate it.
are the two updates leak V3 and the OTA the same?
from what i have read in posts concerning v3 and ota, my understanding on it is that they are identical and feel free to correct me if this information is wrong.. also from what i have read, if you do have leak you will not be able to get the ota update which i dont see as a problem due to the similiarities.. anyway please feel free to correct me if any of this info is wrong.

Gingerbread update available

According to gizmocrunch.com, Gingerbread is now "officially" available to a few select Atrix owners. It is available on an invitation-only basis at the moment. Verizon and Motorola have fired out emails to Motorola Atrix 4G owners advising that the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update is available to the first 1,000 applicants who respond to them.

Verizon doesn't sell the Atrix!
Doesn't matter. Initial surveys do not close until July 18th, then there is a SOAK survey, then there is selection. It will be a week before the first 1000 get into SOAK.

You need to read the Moto forums. Mark, Moto forum manager, said a couple of weeks back that there will be a selection this time. If you have not been contributing on the Moto forums, you don't get in. That's what came directly from him in the GB thread! They want people who will actually provide feedback this time.

They want feedback for something they will release in july, and we are already middle in july??
And again, will be a next update(like in the past with 1.8.3), to fix their bugs?
Anyway. Waiting for something better, than the leaked one.
And ken I think stopped updating to beta#4 his leaked 2.3.4 cuz it doesn't have a lot of future.
Its crazy to have a good battery life only when you undervolt the cpu's when phone is idle.
Battery life must be good with stock condition, and with modifications must be extraordinary-good!!!!

CyanogenMod is here kinda

Well the good news is that they have CyanogenMod booting on a G3. Bad news is that it's only on the US T-Mobile variant. There's still a ton of work to be done but it's enough to get a little bit excited about.

Dude. so fast. when this is optimized easily the fastest phone I've ever used BY FAR. right now it's miles faster than stock or any rom for g3 currently available. it actually makes you go wow. which this phone has yet to do for me. to say I am very excited is an understatement.
Honestly, my HTC One M8 was much smoother out of the box compared to my G3. Idk but I sure do hope that development for the G3 picks up soon.

I know this is about CyanogenMod on the G3, but for those of you that don't know, we had a guy put up an updated thread detailing his conversations with LG regarding the bootloader. They told him that they have no plans to unlock it, so we will have to wait and see if someone can unlock it themselves, probably voiding their warranty.
Hope LG will unlock the bootloader, we need roms man, the phone is lagging so much that i go back to my nexus 4. I cant wait to put cm on g3.
Bad news that it's for T-Mobile? Sounds like good news to me. Thanks for the info, I hardly ever use G+.
