Regional based OTA upgrade. Have confusions.

I have a confusion of regional OTA update.
on the Moto It depends on the location. But I don't understand how this location is examined. Is it examined by where I have bought it or where the set is placed..
In a nutshell, I have Atrix from USA but I live in Asia. It said Asia's upgrade is still planning phase but in USA it will be available in Q3.
So will I'd be able to receive the OTA from Asia?

Nope u will get the update from AT&T

That's what I was confusing about!

I don't recommend flashing the ota tho. Once it id available wait for a fruit cake or fast boot images. Don't run the risk of getting a bootloader locked or hard bricking.

I haven't unlocked my bootloader.

4.1.2 Jellybean seeding to Note2 now

I read on the internet that the Jellybean 4.1.2 update has started seeding. If you have already got the update please share your feedbacks and reviews about the new update. I havent got the update yet. So, it seems that the update hasnt started seeding in India.

It has been seeding to Polish devices at the moment.
I'm on a German Unlocked DBT device and still nothing as of 15 minutes ago when I checked . haha.

it was only released in Poland.. all other countries and their carriers are on pending status.

And remember if you have a carrier branded device then you could be waiting even longer.

That's not true . 4.1.2 released in Poland is carrier branded.

It says it's for Germany. I have a dbt Germán note 2. No update here.

Yupp no update yet, here in India as well.

Rolling Indian Update of 4.4.3

Google just release there new update for kitkat 4.4.3. But we are in India always got it lately. is there anyone in India got an update msg. Please give info in here if anyone got it with model. We are very excited when it come to India. Waiting for it...

No one has got it so far. It should take some time more than USA/Global release.

Patience It will take one or 2 weeks for India release .
There is another thread tracking the 4.4.3 update .Better of using that

What the two people above me said. Motorola mentioned that it would only be the us and global models receiving that update this week. It won't happen immediately so have patience. Also, I'm assuming you have the Indian version so you will have to wait a bit longer. Please use the other post to track as it makes it harder for people to find the right post of they want to see any new news or whatever

install official cm11 nightly...it has 4.4.3...its fast! though benchmarks say otherwise...i am using the render r23 kernel with the pure performances mod and updated gpu binaries...and ART as my runtime (though cm claims they do not afficially support it)

It's official. You can download the latest nightly from the official website. I'm getting a benchmark score of 16500 with ART. But the performance is far better than stock.

XT 1032 Update
My XT-1032,8GB US version got the 4.4.3 OTA update today and I installed it. Other than the dialler update, not many chages are visible. Anyways I cant comment on the performance improvement of lag right now. Will do that after using for sometime.

Download the latest nightly...the rom is much better than stock and imo one of the best custom roms available...as rudi said, the benchmark score is comparitively low but performance wise it is better than stock...much smoother and snapier with numerous customizations...I reccomend the render kernel and using the latest gpu binaries...I have flashed the pure performances mod though it is not required...if any help or details are needed, then let me know...

yes, it is. ROM is unified which can be flashed to any variant of Moto G. Just flash it, you won't need to do anything else.

Just because some carriers have it does not mean my carrier will have the update... Att aio new cricket are slower then dirt and I don't think we will have it... Only buy a phone for what it apps with

I've got a rooted dual sim variant with stock rom,cm recovery and xposed installed....if i get an ota of 4.4.3...can i update it without any issue??

They r still saying moto g india will get 4.4.4 soon now i m fed up with Motorola.
For android l they r saying it will get after it is announced.

If you are fed up, then stop whining like a kid and sell the device

The update started rolling out a week ago, what is your problem with Motorola? At least we are getting updates, not like Samsung or other OEMs, which only give 2 updates, and only to flagship devices.

I have called to moto Service centre in India he told me there is no firmware update for moto g and x right now.
We have update info only for Moto E.
I have two moto E and its already got 4.4.4 still waiting for moto g.
