I installed towel root but when I click "make it rain" it says my phone is not supported. I am on 4.4.2 kit kat and my baseband ends with "NG3." Also it is the AT&T SM-G900A model. Is there a way i can root? Thanks

I have a refurbished Verizon Galaxy Note 3 with Stock Android 4.3 baseband N900VVRUBMJE. I successfully rooted it today with Geohot's towelroot v3 apk. SuperSU asked to remove Knox software and I said yes. Knox shows 0x0. I would like to upgrade to Android 4.4.2 or Hyperdrive 4.4.2 maintain root and not trip Knox. A long time ago on my last Galaxy Note 3 I rooted using safestrap and Odin. With towel root I am not sure what's actually been done to the phone so I don't know where to start and what to do to upgrade to 4.4.2. I just know that I don't want to take the OTA update.
Any help is welcomed.

You can not take official OTA firmware updates on a rooted phone. Best way to prepare your phone is to Odin back to stock then take the official OTA update. Everything you need to do this is found here in this this trusty guide. Good luck.

Has anyone or is anyone trying to prepare a root method for the last verizon 4.4.4 kitkat version for the gs5? I hate lollipop and it's lag issues and heating up to 110*. Thanks for the advice.

Any known how root these version of lollipop OS? I found the CF AUTO Root for version 4.4.4. I can downgrade from version 5.0.1 to 4.4.4? If I can, is safe downgrade?
I want my baby rooted.

There is a no way to root marshmallow as of now
Downgrade to lollipop either ok3 firmware or pb1
and use Jr Kruse ok3 root method on xda in the s5 verizon forum
Then install safestrap and then search XDA forums for how to install rooted mm roms using safestrap on a locked bootloader
