Flash different region to Australian SM-910G - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Does anyone have a suggestion what ROM could be flashed to this? I tried Singapore XSP but unlike other Singapore ROMs on other Samsung devices before it complains about the partition size.
TIA

I flashed the Sri Lanka N910GDTU1ANJ4 version and it works great! Improved battery life and overall stability of the phone. I wonder how long it'll take for Australian OTA updates to catch up.

South Africa (XFA)
Hi
I'm in South Africa and it seems we are one of the countries last on the list of firmware updates.
Is it possible to install this chinese version on my XFA CSC tablet and still have everythin in English? I don't mind not receiving official updates in the future. My possible CSC codes does not include CHN.
Thanks in advance

Sure it's possible, but you might not want to. I've heard that there are all sort of restrictions in the Chinese ROMs, such as no Play Store

Other options are KEN (Kenya) and XSG (United Arab) on my multi CSC. Would it rather be advisable to change to them? Or do I just wait until an official one comes along

Why not just flash the fimware for Germany or the UK? They will always be first available and most up to date. Here in Cape Town I use German roms on my N8000. Loaded 4.1.1 in early November and 4.1.2 in mid December. Wouldn't even think of waiting for an OTA here!
No issues at all. They even have Afrikaans if you need it and "South African English"!

same happen to me as well....
Is it causing issues? If not I'd suggest leaving it for a while til Sammy roll out some more updates. Some of the regions, carriers etc are having issues.
Hi radicalisto
Thanks for your reply much appreciate it do you think when the next build of kitkat comes out i should be able to update it to my region? I'm not having any issues I just want be back on my official region firmware.
Since it's not causing any problems currently, I'd wait a couple of weeks and see if the new updated roll out takes place. No real need to have Official region unless there is something Specific you need from it right now, short term it's OK, long term once KK settles etc you should be able to switch back with zero issues :good:

[Q] Which kitkat version should i choose? I9500

Hello Xda community,
Personally i own an unbranded GS4 i9500( currently i have Android Jellu Bean) and i wanted to know which version of kit kat is the best to update to, since there are many options in sammobile.
- Country: India
PDA: I9500XXUFNB3
CSC: I9500ODDFNB3
And the rest are from different countries(Trinidad and Tobago, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia) but they have the same PDA and CSC, unfortunately it isnt released in my country yet...
PDA: I9500XXUFNB7
CSC: I9500OLBFNB4
Thank you in advance
The best u can do for avoid problems is:
1- Conect it to Kies 3 for know ur code region. CSC are the 3 letters btw parenthesis. The list of codes for region is HERE
2- Wait the update for ur code region. Why? Each country is different (some have LTE, others only 3g, differents modems, etc).
3- If its try for try.... select the one u wish but take care of the step 2 :highfive:
Indian one is quite stable and battery friendly.

As the i9500 does not have LTE, is safe to flash both. I did saw some improvments in phone calls and time to do the call in the indian version from the latest Omega Rom. The v18 was based on Russian version and v19 is based on indian.
Hope this help.

Unbranded European NI4 Firmware?

Hi! I would like to ask if there is an Unbranded European NI4 Firmware for the SM-G900F? Almost all I see are branded ones, though there are 2 Unlocked Asian Firmwares, but a little hesitant to flash them. European FW by my experience are the safest to flash.
Many thanks!
Yes, currently NI4 are only available for Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia.
I have (unbranded) WanamaLite ANI4 running which is perfectly stable and running fine with very low battery consumption. It's the UK version (BTU) that is very basic with only some very usefull mods.

Hi, Can any one suggest me which countries firmware work fine here with indian cariers. I mean there are a lot of CSC options to choose but INU is not availale. I want to download the latest firmware from samsmobile so which firmware should I choose.
Thanks
Well I asked about the same but no one really knows what's the latest ROM! Samsung's chagelog numbers are seem to be meaningless as well, so I don't know how to know which is the latest firmware. But I think just going by PDA version's number there might be an idea? And as per that idea I think UAE's ROM NJ2 is the latest. And I am using that ROM.
Also remember what version do you have. I mean ROMs for 32 GB can't be used with a 16 GB model or vice versa. I tried to flash the Hong Kong ROM on my 32 GB N9005 but it failed, as it was meant for 16 GB devices only.
