[Q] Milestone 2 stuck on setup wizard - Milestone 2 General

hello
so, i installed cm11 for milestone 2, however im getting the "unfortunately, setup wizard has stopped" message in the main setup.
for some reason the bootmode isnt working, but i have acess to the stock recovery mode, i cant flash anything because of the signature verification.
for getting into the bootmode ive tried power+r, power+volume - and power+volume +, no results
any ideas?

Try to tap all 4 screen corners round - I don't remember an exact order, but just tapping randomly closes setup wizard. It was described somewhere in this forum before.

So, I was using Zedomax's how to root N10 tutorial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=wVlI-gWppCA#at=261)... I had everything working fine up until about 4:15 in the video when his restarts mine just gets stuck in boot loop and displays the nexus bootloader for an unlimited amount of time. My device does however show that it is unlocked because when I go back through the process it says it is already unlocked as you can see in the pictures. the first is the cmd I used and the second is what the N10 shows after "fastboot oem unlock"... I am completely lost and have tried over and over to find the problem... I have tried to unroot and restore but I cant even find a working file that isnt malicious... ANY AND ALL HELP OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED...

I can help you get back to stock, that should fix everything. You will erase everything and have to start whatever you were working on again. So back it up before hand if you can.
So first you need to be sure you have TODAYS latest updates to the fastboot.exe program, do this by installing the SDK from Google, then launching the update manager and doing all updates. See this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38961605&postcount=5
Then you need to do what styckx says. Be sure to click 'Thanks' under his posts. The only thing that you may find is hard to understand is, if you download that from Google and it end up as .tar you have to rename it to .tgz to have it extract correclty. See this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38091931&postcount=210
EDIT - If you did oem unlock and were stuck at the X bootlogo then there is an easier fix than what I describe. You state you are stuck at bootloader. Just FYI
Good luck!

yes. that is common w/ these after oem unlock. on that fastboot screen you posted, the one you get to by holding the certain key sequence at boot - use the volume keys to select Recovery, then use the start button to boot to that mode. This confuses people because at that point it looks broken - all you see is a triangle with an error X in it (or something like that.) BUT from that screen you access another menu, do this by briefly pressing power volume up and volume down in little spurts. it sounds wierd, but you do that for up to 20 seconds and you'll finally get it. its just hard to enter so you have to do it like that otherwise you go crazy trying. once you've accessed that menu you will know because its all text. using the navigation choose 'factory wipe' and wipe it. after that your N10 will boot like normal. be aware - navigation on that text only menu is tricky.

[Q] My phone is dead on stock...(due to rooting/unlocked failure?) Please help!

Hello XDAers,
I am a real noob at rooting or android-related, and a true one voided of any knowledge regarding anything IT- related.
So dear veterans, please go easy on me.
Due to my prior success of rooting and flashing my Nexus 4 successfully a few months back with no issues, I decided to give it a try to flash a custom ROM for my dad's LG Optimus L7 - which seemed an easy task compared to configuring my Nexus 4 - since there was no need for inputting any command lines or any dealing with the abd (using the easy shortcut, that is).
So, I followed the guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1906133 ...
I first factory resettled the phone because it was bloated, then applied the "RunMe.bat" from the "What you desire!" folder. (Everything was already backed-up beforehand.) But the process didn't success until I've retried again and again by re-plugging the USB in because the application/PC couldn't detect the phone. In the same time, I was running KDZ_FW_UPD.exe in the background, so unexpectedly for me the phone shut itself and pushed itself to a vividly green emergency screen, then in a few seconds switched back to a screen of purple-white-blue glitches. I had to close KDZ_FW_UPD.exe without knowing what quite happened since it seemed to be the cause and restarted the process with RunMe.bat.
I didn't manage to "Restore" it first due to the fact that the phone stopped responding due to a lag asking for an encryption key. It was lagging so hard and I had to close the cmd around 5 tries while it was processing, but succeeded later on.
And then, to verify whether I've actually suceeded in rooting L7, I installed Root Checker from the Play Store. And again, for the first few tries the program froze on screen for a long period of time due to "system performance", but after rebooting and restarting the app a few times again, the ROOTING proves to be a success. Just to be sure, around this time I've reloaded KDZ_FW_UPD.exe and it suceeded.
So I went to install CWM and ES. CWM for recovery boot and ES for removing pre-installed system apps as the phone was lagging so badly. I've downloaded the CWM restoring(something like ~6.0.28?) first and tried fastbooting immediately right after, but instead of getting the fastboot menu I got a screen emptied in black with these words:
[5020] "Secure booting error"
[5020] "Cause: boot certification verify"
No hard keys could do anything on the presumed "fastboot", and so I had to hard boot again. I thought that it might be due to the lack of memory(checked on ES later on that it was 310~MB/2GB), and so I've used ES to uninstall a lot of system apps which I deemed uneccessary. So I've Googled a bit and it became apparent to me that that I've didn't unlock the device properly, so lurked around and found a file called L7CWM that is supposedly to resolve my problem, but I presume that it's the CWM recovery image that I've installed. So in the end, I didn't bother with it but kept it on tab just in case.
I repeated the same process with CWM again, but this time, the screen was joined with all kinds of flowery glitches. Restarted the device, and it went only downhill: now the Home launcher stayed all pitch black and nothing appeared. I waited a few minutes, but nothing there until the notification bar appeared. The home screen is apparently dead, and so are the menu keys. Switched to Nova Launcher(installed it just in case Home Launcher fails), and still dead. I couldn't access using any of the menu keys and had unusable launchers.
Hopefully I could still access to the settings from my status bar, but when I did, it started crashing immediately.
I've repeated the attempt a few times after restarting the device a few times, but nothing helped. It only got worse that the when the launcher did SEEM to work. It only showed the wallpaper without showing any of the icons/apps. And crashes again.
I could still access to the App menu via the settings, but couldn't open any of them and when I tried to uninstall them, the screen frozes immediately right after I gain access to the page (white page though) and gain this message: "Unfortunately Package Uninstaller Stopped!"
Then I convinced myself that the only thing I could do at the time was to factory reset the phone and then everything would go alright since I've just had to restore the system apps.
But then the black screen of death came right along with it:
"Secure booting error"
It seems that I'm out of luck... ... But just to check if I'm still left with resorts, I've downloaded the L7CWM file online...
... ...but it still didn't help.
So now I'm being left with no other choices other than asking for help. I never really understand what KDZ_FW_UPD.exe does since I had the LG Driver already before installing it, which I presume was for updating the phone to a newer or older version. And too complex tech articles are kind of alien for me.
EDIT(1 hour later): Okay, now I figured out the reason why L7CWM didn't work was because I didn't extract it to the right folder (after double checked via notepad that I was supposed to directly put it into the C:\ drive). Now it worked(?), but then it didn't.
After launching Flash_Bootloader.bat:
This message now appeared on the L7:
"Sorry!"
"SuperSU is not responding.
Would you like to close it?"
"Wait - Report - Close"
and a few minutes later
"Sorry!"
"Unfortunately, SuperSU has stopped."
"Report - OK"
Now I think the bugs till now happened was due to the fact that I've deleted a file that was required for me to launch apps... Now I just need the right fix.
After 5 minutes of screen inactivity the phone restarted by itself, kind of creepy... ...
Flash_Recovery.bat did nothing.
Reboot2Recovery.bat made it reboot but still struck on the same menu.
Nothing seems to be effective via the phone anymore, seems like I have to rely on abd but then again I don't know how... ... My dad is also f*cking pissed off ^ ^;...

I think that I explained the logs pretty precisely in case I missed something... I'll be very very very very very very thankful if someone could tell me what has caused my phone to fail though.
For references, here are the phone's specifications:
Model Number: LG-P705g
Android version: 4.0.3 (Stock)
Rooted:Yes (root checker)
Baseband version: MSM7227A-1-AA
Kernel version: 3.0.8-perf
Build number: IML74K
Software version: V10e-AUG-10-2012
If I don't get the phone fixed to being usable soon I think that I will get butchered real hard... ... Preferably needs a step-by-step guide made for toddlers... ...
remove the battery for 10 seconds,put it back pres VOL+ and VOL - same time and than press the power button.when you feel a vibration press for many times the button wich is down in right,try for many times and maybe it will working :}

"Setup assistent has been closed" loop after flashing gApps

Hey guys,
I flashed this ROM on my LG G2 (802) http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/rom-official-mokee-source-project-t3274849/page2. Everything has been okay so far.
In the Mokee thread I read installing gApps would work like this:
"you can go MokeeCenter after starting rom, there you can download the small gapps integrated into the system and have a lighter and clean rom."
Unfortunally for me there was no option to download gApps via "MokeeCenter". Of course I found Settings -> MokeeCenter.
So I decided to download open_gapps-arm-6.0 (has been the minimal version, I think) and flashed it.
After I rebooted into system, I now am stuck at a popup which immediately and continiously pops up, saying "setup assistent has been closed". So I cannot do anything else than pressing "ok ok ok ok ok ok"
Big problem for me now is, that for some unknown reason, I cannot boot into twrp recovery using one of the hardkey methods.
I usually was able to do it like this:
- Shut down.
- Press power + volume down until LG logo appears.
- Release only power button, then immediately press power button again (while still pressing volume down).
I think I now tried any of the other methods as well (power + volume up instead of down... or release power AND volume down, then press both again... and so on...)
None of them work for me.
I might have to mention, that after the first appear of the popup loop, I read something about flashing "bootstack-d802-CAF-signed" as part of a solution.
I did so, but it diddn't help. Instead of a solution this might be part of my problem, because since I was able to flash it I obvously must have been able to enter twrp before this step.
What should I do now?
By the way: Can some of you tell me, if the annoying crackle/hissing of my headphones is gone with Android M?
I want to know this, because this has been the ONLY reason for me to flash Android M, since I wasn't able to find a solution for Android Lollipop (CM12). I find it extremely (!) uncomfortable to talk to people using my bose qc25 headphones/headset since my Lollipop update, because everytime when a person speaks just a few words with longer pauses between the single words, I have sound errors and hissing/crackles and even some really wired kind of "distortion" at the beginning of each single word and often have to ask people to repeat what they said.
The headphones themselves sound absolutely okay, it's just with the LG G2 phone. (i.e. a friend's Samsung S5 works fine with the bose qc25)
If this bug isn't gone with Android M (or at least fixable) I think I will buy a new cellphone instead of trying to unbrick my LG G2 if unbricking will be a pain in the ass, so I am very interested in an answer regarding the sound bug as well.
Thank you for reading.
with best regards,
Milan
I now have been able to setup a guest account. Running the guest account, I can quit the popup by pressing "ok" once. It doesn't return and is followed by "Gallery stopped" which I am able to quit too. But as guest I cannot get root access to use a software based reboot to recovery, right?
follow these steps
1. go to settings and find applications menu
2. select find system applications from menu
3. find installiation wizard or something else (i am using my rom in Turkish "Kurulum Sihirbazı".
4. click on it and edit permissions
5. enable people and phone sections.
6. cheers

Problem was, I could not navigate because there has been this fu*** popup always on top.
I have been able to enable root access and advanced shutdown options by clicking almost 1000 times "ok" at the annoying popup while I used another finger to tap something at the screen as soon as possible. Scrolling was like stuck motion this way... So I have been able to enter twrp and flash another rom.
Nonetheless I tested calling a person with the guest account (by allowing phone calls for guests via the same "tapping-technique"... took me aboout 10 minutes) and found out, there are exactly the same hissing /crackling problems with Android M than with Android L. So I will try Android Kitkat now. This bug is very common. Is there someone who can tell me a working solution? I am pretty sure my phone did not have this bug when I bought it with Kitkat OS installed. So a kitkat rom is my last hope right now.

Milan

Same problem, fixed
Hey, I had the same problem; After a factory reset the phone got stuck on emui activation with a blank screen. I factory restarted again and skipped the wifi connection and during the whole process of activation kept the SIM card off the phone. After that, Gapps acted weird but I noticed that it was because the Google Play Services app was missing. Installed this one http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-services/google-play-services-8-4-89-release/google-play-services-8-4-89-2428711-240-android-apk-download/ and all started to work fine again, with Gapps at least. I know your issues was some time ago, but I hope this could be useful for you or any other who face the same problem. Have a good one.

"Unfortunately disc has stop" - head unit stuck

Hi guys,
I have installed Unbranded 6.2" double DIN Android 4.1 AN-21 U in my car. For the first two years it was running fine, but then one day an error showed up on the screen saying ""Unfortunately disc has stop". Trying to press OK will make the message disappear for half a second and then it comes back in an infinite loop. Basically this means the system is stuck and I can't do anything with it.
What I already tried:
1. reseting numerous times using reset button
2. shutting down (including disconnecting power) and power back on
3. trying to install a new firmware with recovery screen - failed (for some reason it seams that something is ****ed up with this screen too)
I'm out of ideas, and I think replacing the unit, but I feel like it a shame to throw it away just because of this error message that screwed the all unit.
here is a link for a video showing the issue: youtube.com/watch?v=9POiSlFQmrY&feature=youtu.be
any suggestions would be apretiated
Did you found any solution?
Did you found a solution? What does this error means anyway, the same happend to me
