I had a similar problem with my ol prophet.
I let the phone deplete its battery and charge over and over again (4 times as I can remember) and it's solved.
But I don't think it's the same. People were doing something to raise battery life and health, I can't remember. Or a simple factory reset (or a wipe) could solve. Possibilities.
same with my wildfire tried 2 or 3 roms but stil not able to slove my problem it stuck around 70 to 90 % please help me out buddy ..
Try wiping battery stats using ClockWorkMod recovery (I believe AmonRa has this function as well).
thanks guys for replying
i have stock 2.2 froyo.. i guess i have to try factory reset.. but will try that draining and charging thing first ..
any other solutions
factory reset also did not work.. any other solution guys ??

Problem with displayed Battery-status while charge-only mode?

Hi all,
I am currently using Quarkx's CM10 Builds on my Motorola Defy red lense.
A long time ago I noticed that my battery gets empty really really fast (I would say 20 minutes of active usage in 12 hours --> 15% remaining in the evening).
So, as my charger had some problems, I decided to charge my phone after shutting it down.
Then I saw something unexpected:
As i shut my phone down it shows me about 10% remaining.
After the shutdown, with the charger connected to the device, it starts to boot in charge-only mode as usual, but it displayes about 70% remaining!
I have the impression that the battery status doesnt get reported correctly to Android in "full functional-mode".
How can I fix the issue of two different battery-statuses?
I really hope you can help me and understand my bad english,
Greetings,
Battlestr1k3
Hi, use from supercharger thread the batteryscript.

[Q] Rebooting problem!

I just calibrated my battery in my samsung galaxy s4 because ive heard that it speeds up the charging process, but then after 10 seconds my phone reboots/restart and when its turned on again ive got about 10 seconds to do something untill it reboots again. I have searched some forums for this problem but the only problem i found when the battery was drained. But ive still got the same amount of battery power(don't know what its called, so i call it power). Please help me with this, i have tried taking out battery and having a charger connected but it don't help! I have a rooted device btw. Please help me ASAP!
Battery Calibration was ok for older phones (before the galaxys). But u can do this:
- After you reset your battery stats, it is suggested to do a few full battery circle (use til dead, full charge, rince and repeat). You should be fine after 2-3 circles.
Hmm

But i cant use the phone?
turn off your galaxy s 4 and load it completely auf.Danach you let the battery for 15 minutes outside. Then you put the battery back in and booting into recovery, there you make a full wipe and reflashing a new rom, then your problem should be solved.

[Q] auto shutdown nexus 4

i am using a nexus 4 which is 1 year old running on version 4.4.2.. for the past 2-3 weeks i face random shut down problems.. first sign is that my network connectivity goes off.. then i need to shut down to connect to my network again.. when i switch it on again the battery shows 1-2% charge.. after some 5 mins of charging if i reboot my phone it shows 40-50% charge again.. tried factory reset also.. nothing working.. pls help
bad battery
Probably your battery or kernel/rom if you are using a custom rom, sometimes my phone shutdown out of nothing but never happened something like that

Battery problems

Hi everybody !
I have a problem with my note 4 since few days, my battery indicator shows 40 or 20% of battery left but it shutdown itself and reboot.
After that, it shows 0% of battery left and have to plug my phone.
I already tried to wipe caches and battery status with a root app but it does nothing :roll eyes:
My phone have 535 cycles of charge, maybe my battery is already dead ?
For info: i am on Kyubi 2.2 rom, but i've noticed the problem on COI3 Stock/unrooted.
Does anyone have a solution for me? Thank you in advance :good:
No solution, but same problem on 5.0.1. Mine dies at 15%

Search first, there are several thread already discussing about this problem.
It's because of your battery has degraded through time.
My problem seems to be resolved for the moment, i don't think my battery is dead yet...
Battery is faulty, please replace.
