You sir are lucky. I have the DE, but I'm thinking of getting the Retail version for my wife. She's begging to spend more time on my Note 4 than her phone, LOL.

Hey guys, here's my situation. I'm buying a Nexus smartphone for development. This will not be my daily driver, my Verizon Galaxy S4 is used for that purpose. My two choices for Nexus phones are the Verizon Galaxy Nexus or Unlocked Nexus 4. I can get the Verizon Galaxy Nexus from a buddy for $160 or an Unlocked Nexus 4 for $299 through Google Play. I don't know what device to get and I need opinions.
Advantages for Unlocked Nexus 4:
Unlocked
Newer hardware
Better Design
Disadvantages fo4 Unlocked Nexus 4:
Higher Price than Unlocked Galaxy Nexus
Cannot throw in my Verizon SIM Card from my S4 to use in case I want to switch between it and the Nexus 4. ( I can however, do this with the Verizon Galaxy Nexus).
Advantages for Verizon Galaxy Nexus:
Cheaper
Able to use with my Verizon SIM Card
Removable battery
More storage
Disadvantage for Verizon Galaxy Nexus:
Older hardware
Not "brand new" (The Unlocked Nexus 4 will be)
So, what do you guys think?

I would prefer a new Nexus 4 rather than a second hand Galaxy Nexus.

how long are you using the nexus for dev?, i would get the second hand one due to cost and removable backplate so you can get a new battery after so many years,if its only for dev you dont need a new phone.
So I recently sold my Note 2 ahead of the Note 3 launch and I am debating whether or not to get the GS4 and a Note 10.1 2014 edition tab instead of just the Note 3. I feel that the tab will do everything the Note 3 will do just not make phone call and the GS4 will be just as good as any Note out there but in a smaller form. I just played with the Note 3 in store and it seems longer yet narrower.
Thoughts??

What do you want a Note device for? For me it is a business productivity tool and so I use a Note 8 for serious note taking and Note 3 for quick notes and as a plannet/organiser and as a great media device. The Note range is about business and personal use which is why the Note 3 and new 10.1 have Knox.

What is Knox?
I dont really use the Note too much for taking notes itself but I did enjoy the screen real estate. I forgot to mention that I will carrying around the 10.1 with me while at work / school........
I have a 6 months old unrooted Verizon Note 4 and a spare battery from mpj. I'm wondering how much I can get for such a phone and is it worth to sell Note 4 for Galaxy S6?
idk, i suggest waiting for note5 if you are a note lover, note 4 is still fresh
What is the reason you bought a spare battery. If you are a heavy phone user, s6 don't have exchangeable battery.

It's definately not worth it selling your Note 4 just so that you can get a SGS6. As the Note 4 is still a very good phone even by today's standards and will probably last you for a good couple of years before you need to upgrade it. In fact I'm considering getting the N910U model soon, but I'm waiting to see what the Note 5 and SGS6 Active has to offer before I finalise my decision.
So no one seems to be talking about it but do the note 7 owners who returned their device get 50% discount on s8? Samsung promised so awhile back when note 7 went down.
That offer was in Korea and nowhere else from what I remember.
Any rumors on Note 8 promotions for previous Note 7 owners?
