This will no doubt be the dumbest question ever asked here but is there anyway to upgrade our phone screen to 720p? Install droid mini screen?
Thx.

Oh My God!
Well it may be possible try to replace it!
Buy a droid mini and RAZR M
Open both phone change the screens!
Anyone know if this is possible?
Sent from my XT907 using xda app-developers app
It may be unlikely I'll look for the screen to the mini and see if the screws line up then look at the connector to see if they match but even if these two factors match it still may not be possible...
We cannot teach people anything; we can only help them discover it within themselves.
My guess is, since our M uses a fused Super AMOLED+ panel while the Mini uses an TFT LCD, the driver needed for both touch recognition and display will be different (take Photon Q as an example, we had been using some of its touch panel driver in old CM11 and it had caused a hell lot of lag).

Ok cool cheers didnt think it would work but worth asking. cheers

The drivers was what I was concerned about as well.... I haven't had the time to see if the screens match up yet but if they do could we pull the drivers n what not and patch them in somehow...

Did a quick search and didnt see it posted.
Changing it from 240 to 200 looks good on these like it did on the captivates. This is a sweet spot I feel for looks and without causing issues.

did you have any problems with the dialer? people reported it crashing when changing the density (but most were changing it to be HIGHER)
shiiiiit didnt try that...
ok yeah thats not cool.. damnit it looks soo good like this too.
looks like Ill be playing around and researching other moto phones to see if theres a sweet spot that works maybe something weird like a 203 or some crap
and yes everyone if you go back to stock all is well
dialer2 from market (free) works well when changing density
Thanks for the feedback. Im going to add it to the list of root apps found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1099846

Smaller number means higher resolution. Make sure to use small increment changes when testing. its mostly a personal preference type thing. I think the Atrix screen looks great, much better overall than the Cap. Hold any two screens next to eachother and look at different images and you will see how different screens look better or worse depending on what your viewing. Me and my buddy had fun pitting my Atrix against his G2x just surfing though google images. Warmness softness sharpness density Screen type, many thing influence the image quality. In the end its up to your eye to decide what looks best to you.

Hey everyone, first off I would like to introduce myself as I am new to this forum. I appreciate everyone's input and how helpful this forum really is. Now to the real issue, I have a kindle fire that is rooted and flashed over to cm9 reloaded at the moment. The rom runs absolutely great so far, very smooth etc. The issue I am having is that the images are being burned into the screen permanently and the only way to remove them is to flash over to a different rom. My question is what do you think could possibly be causing this? I may not be correct but do you think that it could be caused by the overclocked kernel? Thanks in advance and I look forward posting on this forum!

Burned in permanently until you re-flash?
Several people have reported some screen after-images even with the stock rom. It varies in intensity and it's not software related.
If you have a theory about it being due to overclocking, why not just try not overclocking?
Or go back to the stock rom for a while and see if it still occurs; if so, call Amazon up and get it exchanged.

The KF has an LCD screen, and from my knowledge LCD screens suffer from "image persistence".

Ive tried multiple different roms including the stock and none have caused this problem, so I guess I will take your advice and try to see if not overclocking will help. If it comes down to it I will have amazon exchange me for a new one.

Try flashing back one of those ROMs and see if they still work right. It may be just a problem with that specific ROM (or an application that you run on it) that's being caused by the lack of HWA.

Then my TV would have a persistent History HD logo on 1 side, and Disney HD on the other.
Or better yet, your computer monitor would have a persistent Start button.
LCDs have pixel decay times, it depends on ambient temperature but images should not "persist" longer than 1000ms with modern LCDs under normal operating conditions.

Hi guys,
I've just search how to increase touchscreen sensitivity and found this.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...Nob3A0YXBwcy50b3VjaHNjcmVlbmJvb3N0ZXIuY29tIl0.
Even this is for sgs it works on our device tested by me just put the sensitivy of app for max!
Now the touch screen is more responsive.
Good app

o.o someone confirm this? ... been said many times before ... you cant really set a resistive screen to be more "sensitive"
Doesn't work

What problem?¨Just put the sensitivity max. in the app.
Works for me on ics and I need that because on ics the sensitivity is too bad
And also tap apply changes and start service on boot.

Yeah I know that but It's kind of calibrate.
On ics normally I need tap every icons more than two times when it recognize my touch, with this app only one tap is enough.

On gingerbread touch is better?? Or I'm wrong?
When I used gingerbread touch is ok and no need tap many times for options.

yes touch is (more or less) good on gingerbread. but this app seems to change nothing in any way.
The sensitivity did improved, perhaps the changes are not gradual to be distinguished ..if we there's an app that can measure screen sensitivity level then we'll see

i think Z-Device test can do that, i recall one time i used an app for moving density (it was 140 default or 160 and i moved up to 200dpi) and the screen had bigger resolution but things wouldn't fit in the screen...180 i think is the best for our gt540
Ya I tried it too, but on didn't notice any change

just wanna know how many of you would like to have this mod, although this may not be very useful if you are running at stock 320 dpi
more screenshots here
.
Useful or not, it depends, but it is very very interesting!!!

It looks interesting, the only thing that would make me not use it is the size of the windows on the screen on stock dpi.
If you could get it to work at lower dpi I would certainly check it out at least. It's the kind of thing you need to see working yourself in your configuration to see how useful it will be.

yes, of course. currently at 240dpi
I'd definitely fancy using it. Thanks!
Imo it would be too small to work with. Even the dual Window seem to make the screen look clustered.
But the peek preview on bb z10 look very useful. Wonder if it can be ported to android.

I'm not sure if this is where I would post this. But does anyone know if it would be possible to port the moto x lock screen to the n4? I just really like the idea of being able to see a preview of your text message without unlocking your phone. Thank you. And sorry if I posted this in the wrong place.

i myself just got the Nexus and was asking same question.
Found very nice solution - NiLS Notifications Lock Screen in Google Play.
try it out, worked well for me:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.roymam.android.notificationswidget&hl=en
The only downside of using such application that I found is that it eats up more battery...and there's no way to fix that because nexus 4 doesn't have an amoled screen thus your whole screen lights up rather than just a portion of the screen where the icon is...so you might wanna take that in consideration...but its the closest thing to moto x loxkscreen
