[Q] Canadian Note 4 Stock & Root Rom LTE? - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I flashed the [trltecan] [N910W8] [NJ3] Canadian Note 4 Stock & Root Rom by fritolays ROM onto my phone, but now I'm seeing only H+ data on my statusbar instead of the usual 4G/LTE. I double checked the APN and it's correct. Is there a way to get back my 4G/LTE connection?

You try changing the CSC?

yes i did, no luck

[Q] Flashing roms

Hi,
I have SGH-M919V and its unlocked.
I am on Bell and want to use LTE. But this model has LTE disabled. when i enable it, cant make phone calls.
I cant seem to flash T mobile modem via odin. there is this secure boot issue. the AUTH: Fails.
I was thinking of installing Bell SGH-I337M rom on my phone. Is that possible? If so, how do I go about doing it?
Thanks!
Since you have a T-Mobile variant you should ask in the sgs4 tmobile forum...
However your problem with lte/phonecalls is likely just an APN issue
To further assist we would need to know which carrier you are using the device on

Hey. thank you for the reply, I really appreciate it.
I've been asking a lot there. No one is answering.
Please help me out, please.
My phone is Canadian variant, originally from WindMobile - SGH-m919V. Wind uses Tmobile freq. = 1700/2100 (AWS) only. No LTE.
I got it unlocked two days ago, and switched over to Bell carrier. Bell uses the other freq and LTE.
When I do force LTE by *#2263# - and enable all LTE, i get LTE speeds. But NO calling or texting. this is with the original Windmobile stock rom. No modification. No root.
I tried to flash Tmobile modem via odin 3.07, didnt work. I used the phone button to load the modem.bin. It gave me AUTH: Fail, secure check fail.
I agree, wrong forum, but we are here to please....
if you have a M919V then you would flash the rom you want, before you boot, flash a tmo m919V kernel, it will boot, manually add your apn settings for your device, it will work with data/wifi/calls.
Good luck....
Hi, im sorry for posting in this forum.
so if I want to flash the bell rom - I337M stock original rom , how do I flash it without booting??
And then how would I flash the tmobile kernel so then I can boot??
I dont mind keeping my current rom - wind stock. But, I want to be able to use LTE like how tmobile has pentaband 3g plus lte.
:/ .

[Q] SM-9006v - Using on t-mobile

Hi,
I just purchased a Galaxy s5 sm-g9006v. This is the chinese unicon Samsung galaxy s5. It's unlocked.
I have a t-mobile sim. The phone works fine but the only problem is that it's only running 2g speeds! and i've been reading and i think it's a problem with the bands the phone is working on.
I've also been reading about changing the firm-ware modem but I need a little help.
My question :
Can I change the bands that my phone is using to t-mobile compatible bands to run hspa+ or lte or 4g ?
If so, is it as simple as flashing flashing t-mobile firmware from sammobile (sm-g900t) to my phone via odin?
And if I can fix it without having to flash the whole original firmware by just flashing the modem (which is 5mb), where can i get the modem for that firmware and how do I flash it alone ?
Thank you

N-9005 to use for AT&T?

Just a very quick question...
I moved to US recently and bought AT&T sim, problem is i cant get any data in my Note 3 N9005 LTE international. can I install the AT&T firmware 900T to be able to get the data?
Any particular firmware version?
Thanks in advance.
No, you will brick your device. The reason you can't get data is because the international LTE is not the same frequency with AT&T frequency. Try switching your data to WCDMA (4G in Europe)

General question on flashing a Note 4 after changing mobile provider

Hi,
I have a Note 4 (model N910A) that I was using with AT&T. Recently I moved over to T-Mobile and kept the same phone.
So my phone is 'unlocked' and working fine but I noticed I have a lot of AT&T bloatware still on the phone so I was thinking
of flashing it with a custom ROM; my question is this.....
Should I be following the instructions for a T-Mobile Note 4 or for a AT&T Note 4? Or perhaps it doesn't matter?
Thanks in advance, any help appreciated....
As far as i know if you have n910A model you cant flash custom rom beacuse thier bootlader always comes with lock

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend flash a custom ROM onto your device. As it's specifically design to work on AT&T's LTE/4G bands, so even if you do flash a custom ROM onto it. You are not gonna be able to say put a Verizon SIM into your device and be able to use their LTE/4G bands on your device.

Install any other custom rom like Resurrection Remix Nougat or Lineage Oreo rom...It should provide you LTE connectivity...You will get their thread links in the rom section...
After you install either of the above roms, you can enter *#*#4636#*#* in your phone's dailer & change the connectivity to LTE if you don't get it automatically after installing the rom...
If the phone has a locked bootloader, it cannot run custom ROMs unless the custom ROM is based on a stock ROM.
