So a few days ago I flashed the android L developer preview on my tablet using a zip file because my tablet's charging port is broken. The thing is, I forgot to flash the zip file for getting root again and now I am stuck with this developer preview. I have no way to connect to the computer and I have no root now. I have no clue what to do. Does anyone have any ideas to help me?
So, you have Lollipop(5.0) on your N7, USB Port is screwed so you cannot connect to PC in order to use ADB/Fastboot/etc?
If this is the case you can still possibly get ADB over WiFi to work if I'm not mistaken.
You can PM me and we can sort it out or just explain it here and I'll do what I can.
*Remember* in order for anybody to help we need all the details.. Model/Build #/Custom Recovery/Unlocked Bootloader..

Anyone know whether this port is possible and if its being worked on right now?
Im also waiting for the port to be available. ....... No updates at the moment..... we basically need to get the phone into recovery mode and run the file for PSgroove/Freedom from there.
But what file to install to work ???
Sorry to ask for help in this thread. But my work gave me a new razor and yesterday. It came preinstalled with jelly bean. I rooted it and installed safestrap. Went through multiple flashes with no problems. Last 1 I tried it got stuck at the fast boot. It says locked 0 battery okay. I've tried every remedy. I believe I have all the files on my computer to revert back I cannot figure out how to get ADB to recognize my command it keeps telling me that file or that system cannot be located maybe I'm working it wrong maybe I have the wrong information I really need to have this fixed by tomorrow morning if anybody can please help me either send me a private message or even call Maine just p.m. me for my number thanks sorry to take this thread hostage.

Well take it easy on you. For future reference, all questions and requests for help go in the q n a section. This section is for posting ROMs, kernel, mods, etc.. only. Anyway, you say that you cannot get your phone to be recognized through adb? Here are number of reasons why that might be.
1. You do not have the proper drivers installed. Install the drivers for this with the proper driver software for this phone.
2. The obvious reason is in order to use adb, your phone has to be booted on. (You can still access adb even if your stuck on boot animation) or have to be in recovery mode.
3. Make sure you have all the files in a folder you need to initiate adb commands: fastboot and a dB for example. You can get all these from downloading the SDK tool kit.
Now I do not know what remedies you have tried to restore it. But the first thing you should've done after you have installed safe strap was make a backup of your original ROM.
If all else fails, you will need to flash the jellybean stock firmware using rsd lite. Which of course requires you to have yih phone recognized by your. PC. Check to make sure it isn't your cord by hooking it up to another computer. Try swapping different cord too.

Ok, so i made a rookie mistake and completely wiped my phone ready for a new install, without moving the files for the install across 1st. So now I cannot get the PC to recognise a device is plugged in to send across the cludyflexg3 rom files. I have twrp installed and can get to that with the power off/down combo on boot but this doesnt help a great deal without the files being accessible.
I can also load the updater with up and power but as the device was rooted this is picked up and it doesn't progress.
I tried IOroot and this doesnt seem to do anything either, window just closes when I hit enter. Any idea how I can flash across the rom somehow?
[as a quick update, IOroot will get to the point where it enables daemon but it just sits there waiting for the phone to respond, which it obviously won't. Is there anything I can do from within twrp to get a version of android installed? There are no recovery files I can find on the device after the wipe.
Is there really nothing I can do? I have now installed and set up adb. But my device doesnt show up with adb from any menu I use... (when using command line adb devices) and also when using adb usb command, I get "device not found"
Any help at all guys? this has been up 2 hours, I've always found this forum very helpful, but I really need my phone up and running asap as I use it for work, it is essential. Even the smallest bit of advice to at least get me to the next step would be really great. Thanks.
Could I possibly get a micro usb storage device, put the rom file on there and load it using twrp? If this is possible I may be without my phone a few days but at least it would work eventually.
Im sorry about the above posts, I tried to tidy the question and delete the previous posts but this isn't possible. Could an admin do this please, but I still need help with this issue. Please, anyone!

if adb is not working then a usb otg would be the solution, they are used to connect usb devices(mouse/keyboard/usb drives/etc) into our phones; here is a link for reference so you know what to look for

Cheers I'll see if the supermarket has them at a half reasonable price, otherwise ebay has them for £1 delivered and I'll have to wait. Thanks for the reply and confirmation that would work though.
Hello XDA Members,
first I dont know if im in the right place, but if im not, dont hasitate to move this thread.
Story: I tried to root my Pearl Touchlet XA100 tablet (running Android 4.4.2), but i failed. At this point, it was working. Some time later i wanted to know if it has a fastboot mode were i could boot into, so I typed via adb "adb reboot bootloader", the device rebooted but the device is stuck in the kernel splash image (the image that gets displayed before the bootanimation appears). Its even stuck there when i plug in the charger (it has its own charger port, i dont know i it displayed ever this offline charging animation over usb).
While Im thinking about RMA (with luck they swap/repair it) i cant get it out of my head so i was watching the devices source code, where i found under 0709_4.4/android/hardware/qcom the folders "msm8x74" and "msm8960", the folder msm8960 where in my mind they i looked for it, and its the qualcomm S4 Plus cpu.
Now my Idea/question is that i can compile the source code and flash it... But is there any way for me flashing it if i cant do anything with it? While my PC still detect it as "Samsung Android Phone" i cant use adb, and the device has only a "Back" and a "Power" button on the side, pressing both at the same time to boot into recovery (its the only way i imagine to enter a recovery/bootloader on this device aside from adb...bootloader worked "well").
I dont know much about Android source development, but atleast i know how to flash roms/kernels via recovery and Samsung phones via odin, but maybe with a little help with you it will be enough to revive the tab from the dead.
The device has a 1,5GHz dual CPU, usb 2.0 with OTG support, Android 4.4.2, 2 hardwarebuttons ("Back" and "Power"), a seperate charger port, wifi, a 10.1 zoll touchscreen, 4,5gb internal storage (only /system and /data, no emulated internal sd), the microSD slot supports up to 32gb microSD card. Device at pearl (german cheap-things site: http://www.pearl.de/a-PX8838-1000.shtml Link to the source code of the device: (Sorry, actually i cant upload them on github, its official pearl download) http://www.pearl.de/support/product.jsp?pdid=PX8838&catid=1000&nodocs=1
Call my stupid, frankenstein or so but i cant get it out of my head and i want to repair it, first for fun at the challange and 2nd for saving time waiting on the answer of the support.
Hopefully you understand my personal reasons, the post itself and have the knowhow/right tips to help me
How to root Touchlet XA100?
Hi adi2500,
Unfortunately I do not have the answer for your post, I am new to the Android world.
I would like to know though how you rooted the Touchlet XA100. I have the same tablet and I am a bit lost with all these tools I can find on the internet, none of them seem compatible with Touchlet tablets... Information about tTouchlet tablets is very hard to find...
Which tool did you use? Before you tried the fastboot mode, did you say that your tablet was rooted and working?
Thanks in advance for your answer !
Nothing i tried rooted the device. I actually have 2 superuser apks in /system/app, supersu installed and still i cant install the su binary. Actually i got it running again bx fully discharge the battery, but what makes me wondering is the fact that the battery wasnt connected to the mainboard and the devicr still didnt Boot.
Well, my last Option is building CM11 for it, but i dont know if i can run a modded kernel in it and even if i make it bugless, i dont know how to flash it.
One APP Form bluebox (forgott the Name) tells me, the towelroot bug isnt patched and maybe we have to mod towelroot or write our own APP, but actually im happy without root (better having a non root tab than no tablet). Maybe an Android pro could help us, since im at the end with my knowledge.
Hacker kibs at your service
Never heard of that device, but I can help you
Did u tried the kingo android root
The rooting software is only for supported or unsupported android devices
So I request u to try the kingo android root
This requires a computer to do it
Thanks
HK
Thanks for the advice, I will try Kingo Root
Kingo Root worked
Thanks for the advice KIBS2173 , Kingo Root was able to root my Pearl Touchlet XA100 without any issue I just had to install Universal Android USB Driver on my PC because Windows did not manage to find a driver for it via Windows Update.
Hey guys/gals,
Unfortunately I recently dropped my Nexus 4 (Stock), the screen is cracked and the touchscreen is unresponsive. I have read a few of the threads here on how to salvage the data but they are not working for me or honestly I may not be understanding them right?
I wanted to use this ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2786395 ) guys method as this is exactly what I need to get my stuff out of the phone. I didn't have USB Debugging enabled and as I said my phone was/is stock so no root or anything fancy like that. From my understanding this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...tmctr=(not provided)&__utmv=-&__utmk=25906750
link will help me unlock the USB Debugging but I get nowhere after running the program.
My question and apologies for the annoyance beforehand, can anyone give me a step by step laymens process of how I can go about getting "The Ultimate Touch Screen Control for Android" to work on my PC/phone so I can salvage my pictures/text files/other data?
This would be greatly appreciated. I thank anyone who responds in advance!

Can anyone help me out? I have been trying to figure this out since last night and have gotten nowhere. Maybe even link me to a thread I haven't seen?

Is your Bootloader unlocked?
If USB debugging is not enabled in Android and you can not enable it in android due to an unreadable screen,
Your only option is to ADB shell from custom recovery such as TWRP using the method in the first link you posted..
You can only boot into custom recovery if your bootloader is already UNLOCKED.
Unlocking the bootloader wipes all your data from the phone. Catch-22
