what? So you want some poor dev to waste their time making a rom that will most likely not run our old and outdated phones? what's the point? ...just so you can have it...

Thank you for your concern. But as long as we have good people around us, supporting our device ... i don't need an upgrade.
I have my reasons, which are related tomusic. All the new phones with their snapdragon chipset have such a horrendous sound, where my i9000 still has much sharper, crisper and massive bass sound, thanks to Voodoo Sound and Wolfson DAC). If i ever upgrade, it'll be to a Exynos based chipset, with a Wolfson DAC.
But that doesn't change the fact that i wouldn't want to have a latest Android version available at my disposal. If you are not making it, better not scream about it.

Heck yes there is interest. I would love one and I know other 10 users would too. I think the issue with most here is that they've grown quiet and worried there won't be anymore development.

Already finished. Few driver differences. Tweaks here and there. Code differences.
Should be posted shortly. No clue if it works or not though.

Those were pretty major bugs, and cross-chip winzip ports ALWAYS fail to go much further than "boots to lockscreen".

Not ignoring them, but if no one does anything, we won't get it at all. Now someone is willing to work on it, fix bug ti help the 9500 community.
If no one word do that, the rom won't appear magically like you seem to think.
CM aren't working on it, fine but let other do something for the 9500.

Hi everyone. I need a team of experienced developers to make a revolutionary rom for our device. I plan to make a full iOS7 Rom. Can we make it?
P.S. I know this will be not an easy work, but we can afford it. Waiting for your advises.
I'm sure you'll have an army of devs working on it within hours. I mean, devs sit around reading Q&A with nothing better to do with their time after all. Not as if they have families/jobs/stuff they're already working on after all.

By definition exclusivity will infer that it's not used by many, therefore not much demand, therefore why would devs work on it......

According to xperiablog there's no 4k,tap2wake,smart call handling in the build. That's really upsetting. At least they could've given tap2wake...
if they give us all the new features of the z2 then there is no reason to upgrade. i dont expect anything special from the kitkat update

It's normal behavior, in fact it makes no sense to wait long for "nothing"... but now as many have said the failure to implement all the features of z2 with an update is linked to the interests of the company ... who would rise from z1 to z2 if you can get the same thing at a lower price?
And this is the main problem of the technology, not only of Sony

I am certainly not gonna find excuses for Sony's despicable behaviour. Z1 is only 6 months old, it should be fully supported and get all the new features it can handle. We helped Sony become more relevant in the mobile market and that's how they reward their customers? They really expect us to pay 600$ twice a year if we want a decent update? That's just dishonest! Shame on you Sony!!!
I just want kit kat and its default kit kat features, tap 2 wake and maybe if I'm lucky the abilty to display the homescreen wallpaper on the lockscreen so i can have Muzei LW on both
