In Settings there is an Accessibility section and you can change to Large Text - not sure what it looks like but could maybe help?

Not sure if the dpi changer works with this?

Just found how. You have to updade de Watch firmware using Sony companion , and using USB in PC. After that atualizantion, in setting will apper "Font size" "small - normal - Big".

When that's not enough you can triple tap the display to zoom in/out.

whats the wallpaper size?

what the wallpaper size guys,, i make wallpapers and want to start on some for the Vibrant
...
Found out from Android Forums that it is 960x800....it has to be wide enough to be able to be seen as you scroll through the seven home screens.
They also recommended uploadig it WITHOUT using KIES since KIES will automatically resize it to the one native screen size of 480x800.
Share your wallpapers once there done, Bro!

[Q] Smaller font (Working?)

Okay, great device... but really annoying that most apps don't make use of the extra real estate on the screen. Most apps are just blown up versions of for example the Galaxy S2 apps. Meaning most apps are the same but 5.3/4.2 = 1.26 times bigger That's at least a pity The contacts app displays the same amount of contacts on a screen as the Galaxy S2 or S but... with a 1.26 x bigger font (compared to the S2) and 5.3/4=1.33 (lol) x bigger font compared to the Galaxy S
Fortunately there seems to be a setting in the accessibility settings that allows the user to decrease the font in some stock apps. Unfortunately this doesn't work. At least not on my device. Anyone got this working?
And yes, ICS would be a great improvement for such a big screen device.
Is that possible to set another density for the device (maybe you have to root it first)?

You'd have to root it first, and then push the density down. Not ideal, as some apps then run in a box on the screen, but it does make for smaller fonts, and you can cram more widgets on the screen etc.
I run my HD2 at 160, but then again I have had my eyes lasered!
Root
Go to system/build.prop
Open in editor
change the value of lcd from 240 to 192
See the difference.
U can always go back
All apps wont be scaled to the new lcd value.
eg: TW in sgsII does not scale.
However i always used this value and did not use TW.
Looks very interesting but I'm afraid that I'm not s pro
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA App
density change doesn't address the question
Hey ho wait..... this wasn't the question. So does the fontsize changing option work for you guys?

I think change the font size setting in gingerbread is for display text in text editor or web browser instead of the launcher and most other application as they have their own fixed font size. You cannot do anything to those applications as they has been programmed that way.

With stock apps I mean the Samsung apps. In the accessibility settings there's an option to change the font size "in the following applications: S planner, Email, Contacts and Messaging" (as stated in the accessibility settings)
Unfortunately this setting doesn't work on my jk4 rom. Maybe others have luck on other roms. Seems like a very usuable option for the note.

My lcd.density (or so) was set to 320 on stock!
I changed it to 280 and the system looks now nicer!
Actually, I measured the tab and my calculation would be around 270-280 dpi.
Has anybody other/better data?
By the way, 1st problem after changing lcd density is in S Memo! Background seem to have a fixed 'smaller size' which are then placed wrongly
Another impact: The email-widget does not fit on screen any more (using Launcher Pro) ... Hope in ICS they will fix some of those screen size problems!

I didn't try it myself yet but I bet it will give a whole lot of trouble with almost every Samsung app on this xhdpi device. Like HTC, they exactly target the screen for which they write software. Unlike most android apps in the market, targeting screens with different specs isn't important. Scaling isn't a requirement for these stock apps. ICS will not solve the problem, because it is still up to the developer which screens will be targeted.
Anyway, back to the original question, I think it is safe to conclude that the font setting doesn't work for anyone. So it is a bug.
I have rooted my phone and tried to use Spare Parts to change the font size to Extremely Small. It works instantly and make the application much more usable. But, there is a problem: The font size will change back to Normal after few hours by itself. Anyone has the same problem?

that method also won't scale down graphics to match the smaller fonts. LCD Density Changer accomplishes that and works well.

SlimICS icon size too small for my eyes

Hi,
anyone know how we can get the "normal" size of the icon provided with SlimICS ?
Actually the icons are very small and dont find a solution by downloading some fonts provided by the OTA but that changed nothing :/
Regards
Change the current dpi 182 to 240 dpi.. There is setting to change dpi somewhere in `Settings`, cant tell you where exactly since I am not using it !

i try and will keep you inform as soon as i will success thus this will help another one.
The solution is here :
after that ; reboot and then the image are now at the expected size !
On my side I've use ES Explorer and to be able to modify the file, i've mounted the system to be writable.
Regards
There is actually a much easier way built into the phone.
Go to settings, ASS, general UI then in here you should see a section which says LCD Density. Click it and you will be given a list of what to do to change it in the correct order to do it. Follow that and you should be fine.
Thanks !
I didnt see it before. Too many little precious things hidden in this rom
haha yeah it is a bit over whelming at times. I don't touch half of the settings.
For sure, it's true !
Should ask this in the SLIM ICS instead imho!
Before I flash Slim I always first edit build.prop (in system folder in essentials zip) and change lcd density value to 240. Starts up the way I like it right away.
Icons on the SGH-I337 so small I can't see!

I have the SGH-I337 and my icons are too small as well. Especially using the Noled program (which btw in the Skyrocket and Captivate earlier models, same App, but the icons were so much bigger.
ALSO the dang notifications in the bar at the top are so small I can barely see them! Is there a way to enlarge them as well??
I'm new to this, can you tell me how to change the dpi on the SGH-I337 please?
Thank you!
BlessedMom missing her notifications and has a special needs child - so this is VERY important.

[Q] Run N4 as if it's screen was bigger?

My N7 has the same screen resolution as my N4 (almost), but because of the physical size of the N4 screen it's set up as a small screen/phone. This also means I can't get so many icons & widgets on a home screen etc.
1. Is there an easy way to use the standard ROM and launcher in what I guess would be 'bigger screen' (tablet?) mode? I presume as this is done on the N7, everything will scale properly and, of course icons, fonts etc will all look smaller on the screen... I'm not necessarily wanting tablet mode - I really just want to squeeze more on each home screen and the pixels available should make it as sharp as the screen on my N7....
2. Will making this tweak stop automatic OTA OS updates from Google?
3. Any gotchas to doing this (other than maybe using my glasses more often)?
1 : Use a lower DPI change?
2 : Yes.
3 : Yeah why not just use glasses.

[Q] Increase email font size?

Does anyone know how to increase the font size in the stock email app? My emails go out with a very small font size, probably no more than 8 points. I cannot find a setting to increase the size, nor any information on the web about this. I have used the stock email app on HTC phones for years, but never had problems like this. Thanks in advance for any help.
When on the create an email screen there is a button at the top that has a black capitol T and lower case t. Just click on that.

Look at the top icon bar that appears when you get to the body of the message. There is an icon with 2 T's. Thats it.

Thanks so much for the help, and I apologize for not noticing that prior to this. Now I am just hopeful that the change sticks. Thanks again.
Increase Default font size?
This group was so helpful before, so I am turning to you once again.
Thanks to the prior responses, I now know how to increase the font size on individual messages through the two Ts on the top bar. What I would really like to do, however, is increase the default font size from Times New Roman 10 to Times New Roman 10. Also i would like to change the default type set to Georgia. Both of these changes would avoid the necessity of me remembering to manually adjust the font size on each of the dozens of business emails that I send out each day.
Does anyone know if it is possible to change the default type size or font in the stock Email program?
Thanks in advance for thee help!

Nope, never have resolved this one flaw in an otherwise superb phone. The same problem exists with my GPad, so I switched to either Aquamail or the native Android email program to avoid this font problem in the LG email program.
