At the moment it looks like there's no real solution to the problem (if not counting Anyterm or WebShell).
Still, there seems to be some hope on the horizon: github.com/Mozilla-Student-Projects/Projects-Tracker/issues/80
(no linking policy for the new users :crying
good news everyone! this one seems to be an active and almost finished project:

Nice. How exactly do you go about installing this on Firefox OS? Have you tested it yourself?

haven't tested it yet myself.
but if what they're saying here is true... developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Marketplace/Options/Self_publishing (limitations)
...we have to wait for the signed (and privileged) zip to reach the market.

Saw this on youtube.com. It is similar to the IPhone browser. The browser where you view the entire page then you can zoom in on certain part.

I asked this question a couple of weeks ago, and was told it's MS Deepfish.
It looks pretty good, but is a closed beta at the moment and lacks a lot of vital functions for a browser (form posting, cookies etc..)
It does look good though, although the last I heard was that MS weren't going to carry on developing it - they are working on something better.
I see I see. Is there a program we I can download a flash application?

So I'm here.. trying to compare the different new WM6.1 ROM's in different tabs..
and my browser keeps pretty much slowing to a crawl or freezing up on me..
I think it's this stupid 'Toyota Corolla' flash advertisement!! GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stupid Car!!!!
I just got the car and Im happy with it. Just because of your slow browser, dont complain. Have you tried FirFox browser? If yes, then there is an add-on called AdBlock Plus which can block unwanted ads
Regards,
Carty..
Firefox's been slowing down on me lately, too... it might be the fact that I'm on my laptop now that my PC is fried. My laptop is old...
Thats why I use Opera on my PC. Rock stable. Very few websites dont show fine on it. For them, I fire up IE
Sometimes xda-developers itself is very slowwww

I use Opera at work also, and sometimes at home.
My favorite browsers are as follows:
Firefox 3
Firefox 2 with certain addons
Opera
Firefox 2 without any addons
Internet Explorer
Yes... that space after firefox and before IE is there on purpose.
Opera is great and fast but it has a few quirks that bug the heck out of me, not to mention some sites don't work properly on it. Many more sites than firefox, since it's implementation of AJAX is somewhat screwy. Internet Explorer is great in the sense that it never breaks on me, but that's because I don't allow it to get all gunked up.

True. Remember the gmail problem which used to happen on opera(now, that problem is gone though). AJAX is implemented fine on latest opera, though still not on IE standards, but, its quite there.
To me, it provides the fastest browsing experience

AJAX in Opera is implemented the proper way, yes, but websites don't write Ajax in the proper way, they write in the way that IE supports it many times.
But Opera IS much faster.
Keep in mind, those ads, as annoying and a pain in the ass as they are, keep this website free.
I used to run a forum/community type of site similiar to this one a few years back that had about 30,000 members ... and you have no idea how much it costs to do so. This site is considerably larger than the one I owned... and Between paying for transfer and storage ..etc... it gets expensive... and keep in mind you make cents per ad ...
So i think its something we just need to accept... or maybe donate to xda, so they can get a more powerful server or less ads.

Hi guys,
First of all i wanna thank you all for making great apps and themes here.. Got to love it!
I work in finance, and uses my phone to check news, stocks etc. I just love the Bloomberg app for iPhone, and hope there are/will come something simular to this for Diamond/WM6.
Here is a review of the app for iPhone;
http://www.macworld.com/article/134571/2008/07/bloomberg11.html
Does anyone know of such a app, or could this be something to look at?
Sry for my bad english, and thanks..

unfortunately it doesn't work for diamond.
it should support 6.1
or can it be problem with the rom ?
Is there anyone that has actually used this app (bloomberg winmo) successfully
I have also installed it on the HTC (touchpro), but it doesnt work - cannot find any reviews or anything even related to the use of this app anywhere
Something wrong with Bloomberg app
Installs on Diamond successfully, however for some reason it fails to recognise my login/password properly. Am left with front screen only.
Another idea would be to try http://mobile.bloomberg.com if you insist on a Bloomberg interface. Many other providers (Yahoo, Quote.com, Reuters, etc) also provide their own versions of same thing.
A good implementation (based on Yahoo data) is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=441204

Even if they developed the software bloomberg for winmo, you will not be able to use. you will need to be bloomberg anywhere account user, which will cost u a subscription free of mayb 1k per month? (called and checked with bloomberg) normal login don't work.
On the other hand, Iphone is giving the bloomberg app for free. Honestly speaking, I think Microsoft really have some major catching up to do. The Application for Iphone have far surpassed microsoft. and their application is really neat and cool. yahoo have abandoned all project to develope winmo application, but focus to develope iPhone app.
Even google mobile app is a shortcut to mobile view webpage. OMG, I'm quite disappointed with my winmo in this aspect.
If anyone can use the winmo bloomberg. please let me know how you did it. how did you get pass the login / password page.
Does anyone know of an application that allows one to use Wikipedia on the HD2, it doesn't have to be offline viewing. I'm just looking for a faster way to access Wikipedia without loading up a browser. If someone could supply a .CAB file of the application, that would be superb.
I am also looking for a decent Wikipedia application, similar to Wikipanion on iPhone. Can anyone recommend one ? Or may be develop ? )))

I downloaded both english and italian wikipedia dumps, and the only thing stopping me from creating an mdict version is that there are no pre-made tools to do it under my server's linux OS, and I don't want to keep my windows workstation turned on overnight.
Plus, it's a pity but virtualbox crashes my ubuntu server so virtualizing xp is not a feasible way of doing things...
Hello,
Does anyone no of any way to do screensharing on a device that has honeycomb?
thanks
Jason
what exactly do you mean by screen sharing? Do you mean having two or more apps on the screen at once? If so, then no, that is not currently possible.
No, I mean I have someone that has problems with their device and I want to troubleshoot from a distance through some remote access program.
They exist for PC/MAC. Trying to find solution for Android
oh, I see. that would be nice.. haven't heard of anything like this yet though
You mean remote desktop connection? I know you can sideload TeamViewer which allows you to control Mac OSX or Windows 7 computer from your Android device, don't know if its tablet optimized yet or not.
See if WebKey works on honeycomb. I don't have a Tab yet, but use it all the time for demoing apps/giving presentations from my android.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
I thought someone was deving a VNC for Android. The current beta has a lot of problems and doesn't work really well..but I think it'll get there eventually.
Until then there's no easy way to remote to a Android "desktop" yet.
