i opened up this thread so people can see all the available ice cream sandwich roms for the nexus s!
if you find a ics rom for the ns which isnt listet here then please tell me so i can update the list!

haha yeah maybe your right that its to soon, but i read that drew (yes THAT drew) is getting out his update soon and miui also said that theyd have ics soon so i figuered better to soon than to late! ;D
i really want a full build!!! hardware acceleration is what i want but can't try in the sdk port ><

hoping that this thread will not go under in discussions who has stolen the rom from who and so on.. simply updates - no discussion from who and why and how.
actually I run the ics port b12, quite good, only the market update crash-issue is ugly .. let's hope and wait for the devs to get ICS sooner mostly stable
i was using b12 as well, but then i swiched back to gb miui because of the market, whatsapp, sms (maximaum one page) and all the fcs...
but i fell madly in love with ics and i keep looking for roms for the nexus s all the time! ;D
I think drew should just upload now... he can get out the stable version later!

Way to go OP. I was following other threads here and, like many, I find it hard to find an update on what's happening without searching the internet up and down. Those other threads became laughable. Why would anyone send you hate mail for hopefully clarifying things with a consolidated thread. Good to see this.

There will not be a stable ROM until the source is released. Not the source for the Galaxy Nexus but the actual source. That will happen when the OTA is released for your NS most likely. CYANOGEN will wait for real source as will the MIUI team.
You will see some adapted and modded ROMs based on the Galaxy Nexus code. Most likely they will have modified GB kernels I believe.
I would not be surprised to see OTAs for NS right after the Galaxy Nexus hits stores in the US, definitely b4 Christmas.

Say what you want about drew but at least he had no problem releasing half busted roms. Now that people are making source roms we are begging for them to at least give us a half busted rom while we wait but no one will ugh! I don't care if just the camera and wifi don't work! That's leaps and bounds above what were used to!

So you mean that google only released the source for the Galaxy nexus and not the actual source code for ICS 4.0? have they ever done that before?

So I flashed it without trouble, but it seems the settings app is missing, and any way to access it crashed the phone (long pressing toggles etc..)
It says System UI crashed..
pretty unusable at this state...

Im using it about 2 hours, its a bit slowly, so I turned off animations, so far no FC. Im using Siyah kernel v5.0.1

This is based on 'cm' source development.The Samsung firmware this week or next week, there must have been.Look forward to it
Please close this thread. This is supposed a CLOSED BETA TEST. Why are you leaking this?
Will the i9500 ever get an aokp rom? I would ask developers to please make an aokp rom for it since that is an amazing rom.

Samsung doesnt release the source code for its exynos processor. So, till now there hasnt been a cyanogenmod rom yet. But it is in progress. First cm, then aokp because aokp is based on cm roms.

We still don't have Official stable Marshmallow so it's imposible to have it now and wait that the stable N comes that Cyanogen Team work for CyanogenMod 14, too bad we don't have CyanogenOS on our OnePlus 2 #LuckyOPOuser

There's no aosp kernels yet, hopefully someone will build one soon as I am also waiting for one before I move over to aosp
Tkg said he may make one when nougat sources are out and he's updated his supermanrom but it's not guaranteed so we will just have to wait and see
