[Q] [Help] - Touch screen not working after kernel/ROM flash - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I flashed a 4.4.4 KitKat ROM (Google Play Edition) on my phone and it comes with a custom kernel and the touch screen doesn't respond to touch after flashing it. If I change the ROM back to the previous ROM I had then it works fine but that's not the point. If I flash any custom kernel then my Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 touch screen stops working until I restore the stock kernel.
Is there a way around this or a fix for this because I'm finding it very difficult to find anyone else having this problem. I've done quite a bit of searching and so far nothing is similar to what I have. I'd like the use this ROM because it's much better than the other GPE ROM I'm currently using, but if I can't use the touch screen it's not worth it really.
This ROM is designed for the GT-I9505 and that, if I haven't already mentioned, is the device I'm using.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

[Q] ROM confussion S4 GT-I9505

Hi all.
I've rooted my phone and now want to install another ROM on it but am unsure as to what is safe to use. I have attached a screen shot showing the hardware specs of my phone. What confuses me is that the processor is different to some of the others used in the I9505. Am I ok to use something like the cyanogen mod for the i9505 LTE?
My recovery menu is also different to what I have found in flashing guides. I have attached the pic with that as well.
Any help that anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Dean.
Anyone at all?
I'm new here so don't fully take my word for it...
But your specs seem normal. I have the same processor, and had the same stock recovery menu as you. Idk about cyanogen mod but I've flashed several TW based roms built for the i9505 and it's been fine. I'm pretty sure you'd be sweet using something made for the i9505.

[Q] S4 freezes during calls only in aosp roms

Can anyone help me?
When I install a aosp rom like the 4.4.4 roms
Everything works fine exept that during a call the screen goes black and there is no way to turn it back on again, only a reboot works.
I'm currently on the phoenix rom and that works good, also Imperium works fine.
With slimsaberkatrom or a Google edition tom I get the screen freeze.
Samsung s4 gt-i9505
You tried on PA and CM?
On Paranoid Android or CyanogenMod you have the same issue?

Proximity sensor issue? Try recalibration while on a stock based ROM then reflashing aosp.
Seems like a proximity sensor problem. Used xposed installer to disable the sensor, and seems tot work fine now.

Unable to get leankernel to run

So I've recently rooted and installed a custom rom on my phone for the first time with success. My phone is the T-Mobile Galaxy S3 N900T. I'm running C-Rom-KK-v7.1-20140622 which is based on 4.4.4 and it's great. I've been trying to find a custom kernel that I can load onto it to help increase the battery life, hence why I heard LK was really good for that, unfortunately every time I flash the kernel it just reboots to a black screen. The LED buttons will sometimes light up, but nothing else happens, and I'm forced to wipe and reinstall c-rom. I'm really looking forward to getting a custom kernel to work and any help would be appreciated.

Been a while since I scanned the N3 forum however, check that the ROM is compatible with the Kernel and If the Kernel does indeed run on the 900T - when I had my N3 T-Mo users used to have to flash a fix to boot N9005 kernels.

touch problem in some custom roms

hey guys.. i have touch problem.. i tried to flash two custom roms.. aryamod based 6.0.1 and aurora based on 6.0.1.. both of the roms have finger touch problem but s pen is working fine..
finger touch is fine in stock rom, phronesis absed 5.1.1 rom..
i tried the *#2663# code but the touch screen update failed..
can anybody plz reply me here ??????
If you have searched and asked your problem I rom threads then I suggest you wipe phone flash stock rom and test.
If ok then its you or your phone at fault not the roms.
Sent from my SM-N930F using XDA-Developers Legacy app
yes i flashed the stock rom its working fine..
it means digitizer is not damaged its fine too..
tried 3 custom roms but still same problem.. what can be the cause plz help me anybody ?
use roms where touch screen works is your answer.
guyz plz somebody help me.. i really wanna use 6.0.1 roms.. but the touch issue.. also tried miui.. same problem..
If you completely wipe your phone and it still doesn't work on custom ROMs, then there really isn't much help anyone can give you but try out a new phone.
Try to update every single thing. Download the latest firmware to update to the latest modem. Re-flash TWRP (2.8.7) using the newest method you can find. Root using the newest method as well and THEN give it another try.
That is the best recommendation any one can give at this point.
if you are talking about pen and finger air view, then on custom rom the latter isn't working.

bad responsive touchscreen after flashing LP rom

Can somebody help me?
I have re-flashed with Odin my S4 GT-i9505 with the last official Rom Stock TW lollipop.
One more time, the touchscreen is bad responsive ( missed letters on keyboard, bad swipes, hard navigation) like everytime I flash a LP rom - whatever it's a one or four files (and everything is smooth in 4.4 stock or with LOS14.1)
I have tested older officials stock LP versions but teh result is the same.
anybody got a solution? a calibration of the touchscreen? some wipes to do before flashing with Odin?
Anybody who woulad have this touchscreen bug especially with LP?
thanks.
