Issues with Xposed - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Unsure if this is the correct place to put this, if it isn't I apologize for the mistake. I obviously have the Verizon Note 3 but I'm having a small issue with Xposed. Not sure what happened but after restarting my phone, the Xposed Installer application force closes whenever I try to open it to update my modules. How do I fix this? Thank you to anyone who decides to help me!

[Q] Hangouts startup issue

anyone else having a problem with hangouts today? I haven't touched my ROM at all but all of a sudden, my hangouts app wont open. It goes to a white screen for a few seconds, then full black, then back to the home screen. I tried wiping data, uninstalling, reinstalling...no go. I found an older version online and it worked for about an hour or so, then same thing again.
I then tried another ROM with same results so its not ROM related.
anyone else getting the same thing or is it just me?
Thanks
mine is fine
was gonna suggest the things you did, plus
did you clear both "cache" and data in settings/apps
try removing your google account and then resign in, depending on rom you are on you may need to reflash gapps
and do same for Google Services Framework
nandroid first
These are just thoughts, not sure of outcomes--
thanks for the suggestions. I think I figured out the issue, though. i think it was an xposed module I recently installed that replaces the smiley key with an enter key. The module was working fine until today and i guess the latest hangouts update is incompatible. I completely forgot about that module until now.
anyway, i uninstalled the module and its working again.
i feel like a noob, forgetting about a module I had installed but thanks anyway

[Q] HELP: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F) rooted + very very slow (AND MORE)

Hey, this is basically a question/help thread which I am currently experiencing with my Note 4 which I recently rooted.
I have been experiencing serious lag issues that have just made the use of my phone unbearable at this current time. The apps that I have installed which now have deleted to see if maybe this was experiencing the problems are: Freedom, Xposed Installer, Root File Manager, Root Checker, Adfree, Build.prop editor (Found a topic that said to edit the ro.securestorage.support=true to ro.securestorage.support=false ) Did that but didnt fix any problem. I will state below what kind of issues I am experiencing with the lag and other issues too.
When installing a new app from the play store or even from a downloaded APK it will take for ever to install from the APK and from the play store it will get stuck around 80% for about 30minutes before it starts installing then the install takes another 30minutes or so, same with installing straight from the APK. The lag issues consist of scrolling issues through the home screen (Happens every so often). A lot of keyboard issues when trying to type text to people its just a nightmare to use this.
I want to know what I can do to actually fix this issue, whether other people have had this issue, and whether people have any solutions. I am new to the android community and even newer to rooting, so I may be a bit of a "noob" but I learn very quickly. I dont feel like unrooting and reflashing to stock. (This is a last resort) But if push comes to shove I will do this.
Thanks for reading. Hopefully you guys can help me

Try this first, uninstall xposed framework, then install any apk (either standalone or from the play store) and report back to see if you have that problem.
If you don't have much set up, I recommend going back to stock via ODIN, see if installing app works properly.
If it doesn't, you might have a defective phone. If it does, then it must be a software issue which we can resolve.

Yeah, well I have already uninstalled xposed framework, as i said that I uninstalled everything that required root access (even when installing something that requests root access SuperSU takes about 10minutes to pick it up (This only happened after installing something but I didnt really take any notice at first) I will probably have to go back to stock, but being in canada right now and not at my actual home the internet is so slow to download the firmware -_-. Literally installing apps takes forever, uninstalling takes no time at all.
For me the culprit was exposed. Ended up having to restore my nand, and stay away from exposed.
Sent from my SM-N910F
You need to install the xposed module XSecureStorage.
Why we need install the XSecureStorage is something with privacy or S-Health problem I have the same problem, but I have installed Xposed since the first day and not have this problem until few days ago.
I like Xposed and use maybe the Instagram Downloader and Youtube Ad apps only so I want keep it.

After installed the Xposed Module XSecure Storage my apps install fast and without troubles, thanks Lessaj
XSecureStorage seems to solve the issue
Hi
Just a quick note to say that I was having the same issues after rooting and installing Xposed and that by installing XSecureStorage the problem appears to be solved.
So thanks Wanam for XSecureStorage and thanks to Lessaj :good: for pointing this out.

Xposed Marshmallow Help?

I have extensively searched the forums here for a solution, and haven't been able to find one. If someone knows how to fix this, or can try to help me, I would really appreciate it. I just updated my phone to Marshmallow, and everything is running great. I have SuperSU up and running, and TWRP installed. Everytime I try to install Xposed, my phone boots up, but once the boot finishes it just hangs on a black screen forever. The only way to get the device to boot is by flashing the Xposed uninstaller. I have tried disabling all of my Xposed modules in hopes that would fix the problem, but it did not. I am trying to flash the xposed-v79-sdk23-arm64.zip by the way. Does anyone know of a solution to this? Should I try to find and flash version 78? I've seen a bunch of people having no issues installing Xposed on Marshmallow, so I assume I am doing something wrong. I tried redownloading the file a few times too.
Thank you very much in advance for trying to assist me!! Happy Holidays everyone!
after flashing xposed, do you wipe both caches?. You also can try to install xposed application (apk) first and later flash xposed from twrp.

Thanks for your response. I tried wiping both caches before and after installing Xposed. I also tried it once with only wiping cache after. Each time, I already had the Xposed apk downloaded because I had Xposed up and running on Lollipop.
I'm running "xposed-v78-sdk23-arm64.zip" without issue on my MXPE on MM.

Just tried that version. Same issue, boot animation finishes, then it's just a black screen forever. I'm going to try uninstalling the Xposed app and then installing the framework and see if that works.
Just for kicks, I uninstalled xposed v78 and installed "xposed-v79-sdk23-arm64.zip". It's working great on my phone.
I would try again. Do a hard power down during the hang at the black screen (hold power button down for 10-20 seconds?) and reboot to see if that fixes thing.
Edit: I should note, I cleared all the cache (including Davlik) before and after the install of xposed.

Just wanted to let you know I got it to work. I had to uninstall the Xposed app, uninstall the framework, and then reinstall the framework and reinstall the app. I had a few modules mess me up and cause the black screen and I had to start all over a ton of times, but after hours and hours I finally seem to have everything working for now. Thank you for trying to help, I appreciate it!!
Can you please advise how to uninstall xposed framework? I'm trying to do it via xposed Uninstaller but no luck... Thx in advance for any help

I'm not sure, I currently am not using Xposed anymore. The only way I know is to use the uninstaller and to uninstall the app from your phone. I'm sorry if I can't be of more assistance :/

Do you have any modules installed? If you install Xposed and then install the app, everything should work. Certain modules may not be compatible and they may prevent your phone from booting. You may have to turn off all modules and then turn them on one at a time and see what causes your issue.

No modules, and even no installer app installed. Still black screen mm6.0.1 xstyle 1572 rooted and unlocked bl.
Possible Solution
I had the same problem on my moto, I ended up flashing version 86 of xposed framework and also updated the app to the alpha 4 version. After I did that I had to clear cache and then use root browser to change my xposed disabled file to another. After a long reboot I have xposed running again.

Greenify problem J500FN Lollipop

Hello, I always used Greenify in my devices, but with J5 I've a big problem, I'm not able to use it anymore. I don't have root and I don't want to use it, so I use Greenify non-root mode. It worked for 2 days, but then it has stopped working. The app asked me to activate it in accessibility settings, but when I do it there's a message that says "Settings has stopped working". I can't hibernate apps anymore, and I don't want to root my phone. I'm on Samsung Stock lollipop and I already tried a data factory reset, I also flashed last firmware with odin, nothing to do. In Marshmallow there isn't this problem but I don't want to upgrade, I also tried to clear data and chache or to uninstall Greenify. Is there a fix? Help!

You need to install a TTS, like GoogleTTS. Then choose GoogleTTS at language settings if i remember properly and then the problem is gone. I had same problem in past, and after i googled, i got this answer which solved my problem.
Im not sure, but i think Greenfy does slow down the phone over time. I always used it, even now, but ill check about this on google sometime.

You don't need root lol. Just check Google Play for Google TTS and install it, or download it from apkmirror if you don't have gapps. Then put it on in settings like I told you in my previous post.

Need help please porn ad opens after every unlock

So guys before you all go shouting to wipe the phone I'm well aware that will likely fix this? however its now more to the point I can't figure out what the hell is causing it to happen and just want to find it....
So I boot the phone and resurrection remix boots and this issue does not happen... After the os boots it then loads the widgets and modules, after it does this is when the malware begins...
Each time I unlock the phone chrome opens even if it was closed and goes to some porn ad
I have tried backtracking a good amount removed every module in xposed and magisk including Uninstalling xposed and the Xposed apk... Wiped the data for chrome... Ran device maintance and removed all unnecessary files as well as Uninstalled a few other random apps that I put on here hoping they would do something yet didnt?... Has anyone else had any similar malware before from apps that request root access or possibly even just anything in general, but I'm assuming from some sort of root app?
Again guys I know a wipe will likely fix this but I want to know what can cause a phone to do this after each unlock and further my knowledge of Android! ?
*UPDATE*
Just attempted to boot into core only mode and the issue still occurs
Resolved! If anyone ever runs into a similar problem its a blank app installed that hides at the bottom of your full apps list
