G2 AOKP and ParanoidAndroid - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. I am thinking about switching to a new ROM. I have heard about PA and AOKP for the G2 but not sure how stable it is. I searched it up on YouTube and can't find many people running AOKP on their G2. Is AOKP stable?

PA dev (houstonn) just got back his PC, so latest development is still undergoing.
As for AOKP, I havent flash it.. perhaps u can consider Liquidsmooth by REV3NT3CH, which for me is the best so far in AOSP segment..

custom roms

i was wondering who has tried the custom roms available and are any of them worth using?
As of now, most of the custom ROMs are based from stock ROM v10i and v10k. You can check on the p700 development thread post no. 1.
Why don't you try the latest cm10 nightly, I'm using it right now and so far its at par with the simple blue ROM by snx performance. Haven't found any bug yet. Or you can wait if someone will try to port it to aokp or miui.

Nightly v3 is so far good, so smooth and runs good with all tasks. Batery maybe is draining little bit more. Its improvement in any direction!!!:good:

[Q] which ROM ?

Hi, someone smarter in this area could tell which ROM is the best of the currently available (stock, cm10, aokp etc)
Great you haven't even mentioned the device for which you are asking the suggestion for nonetheless assuming it is an L7 my vote goes to cm10

Ups, my bad, yeah it's L7
CM 10 i think is the best for you
What about an L3?
Which from would u recommend as the best?
I'm currently on jelly cast v2 n it's pretty gd so far...
Tried touchwiz 2.0 but ain't as gd as jellycast
For l3 jelly cast 5.0 is the best in my opinion I tryed lost but none of them were good as that.

After testing every Custom rom till now i would surely choose cm10..
Stock roms for ours Lg Series are definitely a waste of time..I was using V20D with dozens of mods+seeder+V6 supercharger but performance is still really poor.
Cm10.1 and 10.2 are in a early stage and i wouldnt recommend them for a daily use.
Battery stats are slightly better on v20d

Slimbean 4.1.2 is fast and stable

[Q] what rom are you running? dd?

hi all. just wondering what roms are stable and dds. im not new to flashing just new to the sg4. once rooting and flashing rom what functions might i lose that i should be aware of? just looking for a reason to froot and flash lol. thanks
Everyone has a different opinion, I prefer TW roms, I have used aosp roms for years, but rom of choice now is TW roms, Omega 7 is a complete error free rom.
Running CM10.1 Nightly builds. Been running very very well for almost two weeks now. Just today's build 7/5 seems possibly broken. Other than that very stable.
I previously ran Goldeneye. My favorite stock based ROM. Used it will CM10.1 was ironing out bugs.

as seen above, these types of threads tend to get shut down.
research and try. thats the best way to determine the best rom for YOU
cheers
Goldeneye 3.0 is great, i prefer touchjizz, is why
just the stock rooted ROM with Nottach's exposed mod.
What beerdroid said. But I'm running bean stalk with the marla kernel. But don't flash that on your device.

Im using the Google Edition ROM posted in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2341376
I never use probably 95% of all the extra stuff Samsung puts on the GS4, and I love the clean pure operation of the GE ROM. Once you go pure android, it's really hard to ever go back. It is really amazing how much smoother and lag free the GE rom is.
But if you do prefer a TW rom, I would recommend Goldeneye, which is based on the latest Euro release.
Mint Jelly, TW based

I tried Slimbean 4.1.2 and I am now on Slimbean 4.3 Beta 5.2 and it's working well.
I think any P700 ROM will work on a P705.
You have the choice in this forum so maybe try a few and keep the one you like most!

[Q] Deciding between a few Lollipop ROMs. Suggestions / user experience?

Currently running CM12, but I've been thinking between XenonHD, RastaPop, Euphoria OS, Terminus and LiquidSmooth.
Any experience about these ROMs? Most of these seem pretty same if you look at the features. But does some of these stand out?
Just start flashing and find out what you like the best.
sent with my Nexus 4.
As much as I hate CM I quite like the xenon.
Very stable and doesn't require too much micro management.
Well I had to install better battery stats but my battery problems might be down to a dodgy app.
I haven't tried them all but so far my favorite is my setup now...boostpop 2.7 with Franco sabermod kernel, overclocked to 1.7ghz max 192mhz minimum. Rro layers running giving the black look I liked on slimkat. It's as fast as I've ever felt this phone.
I've tried liquidsmooth v4 and a recent paranoid android and cm12 I think. Those are the only recent LP ROMs I've tried.

Frank Rom and Rastapop both great 5'0'2 Roms with all latest optimizations like RRO etc
