I have the note 4 sm-n910c , I am experiencing lagging when making a phone call or redialing + the other party when I am on a call doesn't hear me good from the phone and speaker. Is there anything I can do? Thanks
Note :
I did everything till factory reset and I bought the phone from another country and it can't be changed.
I seem to be having the same issue too. Doesn't happen all the time randomly the other person can't hear but when they ring back its fine or sometimes I ring back and it's fine
Hello friends. I have this issue too, but only with one provider (beeline russia) and when my network mode is set to "lte/wcdma/gsm" or "wcdma/gsm" + connected to wifi network. With other provider (megafon russia) I do not have this issue, and else, if i try "wcdma only" or "gsm only" mode with wifi connection or "lte/wcdma/gsm","wcdma/gsm" without wifi connection , I do not have this issue on any provider (beeline russia too). SM-N910C
Sorry for my English.

Hi All,
I have a Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910F with BTU firmware N910FXXU1ANK4 (UK) which I flashed from the older O2 UK firmware N910FXXU1ANJ4 when I bought it.
I am having problems receiving calls and making calls when 4G LTE is enabled on the phone (I get 4G signal bar). When someone calls me my phone rings and the signal bar is 3-5 bars usually and when I slide to answer the phone it seems to answer (timer starts clocking up) and I can't hear anything (sometimes for a split second) and the other person can't hear me, then the person is directly kicked to my voice mail!
If I try to make outgoing calls with 4G enabled it sometimes works but other times it sits there saying "dialling..." then after 10 second or so gives up and stops. If I do manage to call out I get terrible phone recetion breaking up and high pitched noises sometimes. Sometimes it is ok for a while talking but eventually the call drops at some stage.
If I force my phone into 2G only or 2G/3G only then the phone seems to work completely normally.
I have had multiple SIM swaps with no luck.
Samsung walk in repair centre was useless as the empolyees all appeared to be undertrained kids.
O2 was no use saying there is no transmitter faults reported in my area.
Before I try a hard reset and flashing back to the old O2 firmware and then possibly sending my phone away for repair, is there anything else that might be going on here? Has anyone else seen this or know if it is a known problem?
Cheers,
Richard.

Most mobile providers still don't support VoLTE (don't know if that is the case in UK) so your phone needs to go down to 3g/2g when phone call is received.. So maybe there is some problem between BTU and O2 firmware (I am no expert, but may be CSC related)..
I suppose your network selection on 4g/3g/2g automatic mode, not LTE (4G only)?

I only have the option of :
LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect) - Have the issues with this mode
WCDMA/GSM (auto connect) - No issues in this mode
WCDMA only - not tested
GSM only - No issues in this mode.
In phone dialer hit settings. There should be a volte toggle if there is turn it off.
I don't have any issue like that. 4G turns to 3G or 2G when receiving/taking a call. May be u hav an issue with ur firmware
I've tried flashing back from the BTU UK firmware back to the original O2 UK firmware and the problem remains. I also tried a hard reset afterwards leaving the same issue.
I have noticed that the issue does occur with 3G as well as 4G but it seems to be a bit more stable. 2G seems the most stable.
I have arranged with Samsung to send my Note 4 for repair so hopefully that will resolve the issues.
I have the same problem using 4G. Sent for replacement. Waiting for feedback..
got information that warranty service did find the problem and in a week or so I will get new one
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!!!! THANKS A LOT !!!!! I WAS LIKE CRAZY TRYING WHAT CAN BE WRONG WITH THIS....
In my situation i can
send and receive sms on all mods
I can call in 4g but i can't receive calls when im on 4g... - just only hire is a issue
Last time my charger when i was charging in night get burn and i think meybe form that time... i have phone 3 weeks brand new.
Dears,
whenever I am on a call and then hang up or finish the call, I cannot surface the internet or even make a call after hanging up for a while. I can see that there are packets going to 4g but no reply "upward arrow but no downward arrow that is near 4G icon". It is sending data to 4g but not receiving any response and
also, after finishing the previous call I can not make a new call unless I switch on airplane mode and then switch off or restart my S8 to work normal again.
To revise and better understanding this issue:
1. the S8 works normal and can communicate to Internet and receives calls
2. the problems starts after ending a call, the S8 cannot communicate with the network for a while Internet and calls
3. temporary solution is to go to offline mode then online or restart the phone
4. then it will work fine "Boring Solution"
I am facing this weird problem since day1 with my samsung S8.
any advice?
No body has faced similar issue ?
I have no issues, on At&t.
I have no issues too. I roam a lot with data on. Different carriers within Asia. All ok.
Maybe try reset the carrier "access point names"?
Are you under power saving mode?
i got my S8 it worked fine in start (or i might have not noticed it) but then i observed it used to turn off sim cards (did not catch any signals) as i go out of 34 or 4g covered area. it did not work on 2g. i got i fixed from samsung care. and now i am having weak signal issue. Voila -_-. Going to get it fixed "AGAIN".
I have too signal problum internet and sim service. Very poor.. but when was i buy then it was perfect . After use 4 month its conditions make me very thankless. If any person who know about that issue plz help m
I have two units of the mi A1 both behave the same way. The unit drops signal and moves to another net and drops call.
By entering *#*#4636#*#* chose Phone Information I can choose network type.
By default it is set to TD-SCDMA/CDMA/UMTS. Since I'm in Europe I would prefer something that started with LTE/UMTS or something like it, but it doesn't make a difference. It still drops calls. And when unit is rebooted it goes back to default again.
Anyone who has an idea about the dropped calls problem?
Henrik
No one else have problems with dropped calls?
I have the same problem.
I had some kind of similar problem this weekend. The phone is up to date and worked fine for almost 3 weeks. Suddenly the phone started to drop calls like I wasn't able to place any call, also when called me back I was getting out of network message. In the mean time I was able to use 4G network placing Whatsapp calls. First I have restarted the phone, then tried to reset all network settings. Nothing helped. Then I have entered the service menu with *#*#4636#*#* and selected Phone info. Here you can set the preferred network type. I have tried out several combinations until I have managed to place and receive calls with following settings: TD-SCDMA/CDMA/UMTS. Maybe It was a network related problem, I don't know, arround me all other phones worked fine. What I have noticed, when I have placed a call the network displayed 4G and it should switch to 3G during call. No Volte offered yet here so it must place a 3G call. After playing with settings this working as it should.
Did the settings save after reboot? I'm still having problems.
I still have TD-SCDMA/CDMA/UMTS after reboot. I don't know what were the default settings.
Henrik, did you come up with a solution? Fellow Scandinavian here with the same issue...
Somewhat strange... I'm using my A1 in Sweden as well.
During quite long calls (10-25 mins) I haven't had any 'dropped call' this far.
I'm having 2 SIM cards (1 private, 1 work) in mine, both Telenor.
Edit:
On Stock 7.1.2 Dec 17 ROM, not modified/unlocked or rooted!
Hey fellow swedish,
I am also considering to buy that phone.. Did you manage to find any solution? Do you think that worths it buy it?

I think people in this thread have some ****ty MVNO with service from several carriers, and when the mobile switches carriers, calls drop.
If you're in a major carrier then such switch never happens so there are no dropped calls.
But I might be wrong of course.
That's weird.
I noticed that whenever I'm on 4G the calls usually drops out. If I have it set to 3G I don't seem to have any issues. I tried to set it to LTS/UMTS auto (PRL) but it goes back to stock setting when I reboot.
I had a Sony Xperia Z3 Compact before and I never had any dropouts so I don't think it's a carrier issue... What does yours say in the Phone info JockeSve?
Voice network type: LTE
Data network type: LTE
Set Preferred Network type: TS-SCDMA/CDMA/UMTS
it is dropping the calls... is it phone? or just toy?
So i bought a second hand galaxy alpha phone. It was perfect in shape, no scratches or anything, meaning the phone was ell maintained.
The problem comes when im over LTE(4g) network. I try placing a call, it waits like 45 seconds and then it drops. i try calling for the second time and then after a couple seconds the signal drops to EDGE and start calling. after the call it stays a EDGE forever, unless I dial *#*#4636#*#* --->phone information--> set preferred network type: "LTE Only",....once signal shows LTE i can get it back to "LTE/CDMA/UMTS auto (PRL)" mode and keep surfing internet with 4g speeds.
Another related issue, if someone tries to call me when im over LTE, the phone doesn show any incoming call, but to the person calling, the call rings normally. So i dont get calls :S
I though it was a software related issue, so i rooted it and upgraded to andorid 7.1.2 lineage. but still the problem is the same. what shoud i do, i searched the internet and the answer is nowhere to be found nobody has this problem either
Hello,
i'm using redmi note 4 snapdragon 3/32 version for almost 1 year 6 months.
Suddenly i am facing network issue.
Though the network bar shows full network but still not receiving any call neither i can call others.
If i change network to gsm only it seems works for a while
but i want a permanent solution.
*i reset phone. Even tried different rom*
if this is a hardware issue. Is this critical?
Thank you.
Maybe it's related to your operator
Some operators switch from 4g to 3g or 2g when you receive a call or try to call someone
maybe your operator has a problem with this switch and so you are not able to call and receive
