u dont get network on dual sim variant tested yesterday!!

got to keep an eye on this. if the sims fully work then this could be the next best thing after cm11. anybody knows if there is an moto g specific update coming?

Lights flash and now the phone, siemrpe back to recovery.

No bugs, works perfectly ! don't know for cwm, if can't flash trough fastboot or via app

I think it can be flashed through TWRP as well. We'll have to use the .img option.

There's a problem with the latest version... When trying to restore system, it writes that system is read only... This didn't happen in the previous version by Bitti.

Just try reboot few times in recovery, and allow modification ..it works for me

Can some one provide screenshots. I already have TWRP v2.8.6.0

Hi mates
For all those who want to change the bootanimation on their Mate 8.
Tutorial:
Be rooted (of course)
Goes to /product/etc/média/ with an explorer like Solid Explorer (with root permissions)
Rename bootanimation.zip as bootanimation.zip.bak
Find a bootanimation with a good size to replace your phone bootanimation (ex: the one in link below - in the video)
Be sure that file is named "bootanimation.zip" without quote
Place this file into /product/etc/média/
Give it the permissions like in the screenshot below
Reboot to try
Result in video:

Don't know if the Nougat roms have changed it as I'm still running good old stable MM but on that firmware it's different
It's the one with the blue bubbles where the Huawai logo comes out of

Yes, on Samsung, the location is /system/etc/media or /system/media, I have a doubt!

Seems like your system image was built not properly. Best way to make system images for stock-based ROMs is making system on device and getting system.img with dd. But you don't have Nexus 5X :/

When i am building it with assayyed kitchen it was showing me

file_contexts not found, your rom contains bug or it will not boot properly
So, i think this is why it is not booting !
When i am working on its developer preview 3, i have noticed that "build.prop" file was not there and the information was not showing in the kitchen
but in DP4 everything is there except "file_contexts"

Nope. You can't install gapps included in Android 8.1
Edit: API Level changes due to which the gapps from 8.1 won't work.

You'll never know till you try. Take a TWRP backup and try flashing them, if they didn't work then restore your backup.

you can delete setup wizard in the CORE folder of opengapps zip also
