Can hear call only with speaker phone turned on.

Wonder anyone got this problem, make outgoing call or incoming call, no voice from internal speaker. But if I press "Speaker On" during call I can hear the voice of the other party.
Playing music song playback sound ok, only during call conversations , both outgoing & incoming, I can't hear any sound unless I turn the speaker-phone on.
seems there is a problem in the phone speaker, though the main speaker is working properly.
Tried hard reset and also changed the SIM, but to no avail.
Any advice? Thanks.

My problem has been solved. I had created a backup of my system with SPB backup and it restored my phone back.
I think the problem arose after installing oldSAP speaker phone, which routed the incoming and outgoing call audio via speakerphone.
However, I cant understand that if it was a software problem, why could'nt it be solved by Hard reset.
Any suggestions ?

I also have this phone and i cant hear anybody during a call, i have tried resetting the phone, but still the same problem, if anybody knows a way to resolve this please let me knows i really like this phone

My problem with the phone speakers resurfaced, sometimes they behaved and sometimes did'nt, thereby forcing me to turn the speakerphone on for listening to calls.
I finally took my phone to a nearby Mobile Repair Shop. The mechanic told me that it was a common problem in most phones and the only way out was to change the phone speakers. The speakers available were Chinese ones for Rs 150 and what he called original ones for Rs 300. I opted for the latter and he replaced the speakers within 5 minutes, whether he changed the speakers or just refittted the Originals after cleaning? I do'nt know. However, problem solved since then.

I have same problem for about 5months which was described in the first post, and can't solve this problem...any help?

I am also facing the exact problem!!! It was working fine until I accidently did the factory reset... now I have installlllled OS many times with diff vrs. & from stock to diff customized roms but the problem still persists!!!! wondering wat happened!!

Earphone problem with Viber and Tango

Hello,
I have an issue that i'm having when i call people with Viber on my Google Nexus 4. While using the phone speaker or the earpiece i hear the voice of the person i'm speaking with clearly without any audio buzzing but when i use the earphones, i'm hearing a background buzzing even before the connection is established with the person while it's still ringing. I also have a Bluetooth headset and it's working perfectly , this issue only appears when using the earphones . I've also tried different earphones without any success.
Does anybody have the same issue ?

Can anyone try to reproduce this issue on his phone please, so i can know if it is a hardware problem and eventually send my Nexus 4 back to google for repairing.

Known issue. You probably buzz all the time. Search earpiece buzzing/crackling.

No it seems finally to be a proximity sensor problem because i was able to reproduce it with an application which turns off the screen even when not incall and the buzzing appeared while listening to music !!! It was this topic which made me "smell a rat" : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2129140&highlight=proximity
Then i decided to disable the proximity sensor since it will solve my problem and still i can use lock unlock during a call, so i tried the build.prop solution : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626611 without success
and then i tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658474 without success too.
Any idea please to help me solve my problem ?

[Q] Loud Speakears on calls doesn't work

On calls if i enable loud speakers the other person can't hear me ( i still can hear him ) but if i record a video or record my sound it works fine but it doesn't on calls how can i fix it?? it's probably not a software issue because ı tried a lot of roms/kernels/modem/bootloaders wiped data factory resetted ı tried anything possible i think it's a hardware issue but it still might be some software issue so i ask you what should i do?
I thought there might be some dusts so i put a toothpick on the mic to clean it and tried with a removed case, disabled noise reduction still no fix

[MX4] Strange noise when I active speaker with Call app

Hello guys, i have a problem with my MX4
When i use the speaker with Spotify or anything who put song in the speaker, it work
But when i active the speaker with the Call app in a call, my speaker make "bzzzzzzz".
Its a bit strange, help me guys :/

This is defect manufacture. Only to send it to warranty, but i think they will not solve it, that noise come from vibrator, disable it in call settings, vibrate when connected call. Cheers

Hm, i try to disable but my problem is still here :/
When i'm in other app the probleme is not here, like when i try a call with Messenger, i dont have any problems
PS: My phone is no longer in warranty, cause it just come from reparator for a broken screen last week

If I turn loud speaker, I can hear the sound.
is it ROM issue? how to fix it? please help

it is a common problem. But I think it is a hardware related issue. I usually just shake my phone and it starts to work again. Moisture might be the issue or loose contact.

I can confirm. The problem came up to me, tried everything, nothing worked. Shaked, knocked the phone gently, now it works again.

Hi, I bought yesterday my Nubia z17mini and today I stopped hearing the other side in the middle of the call. nothing of the above methods worked, I only hear through speaker. Do you know what else to try?

Yeah this started happening couple of days ago, couldn't get it working with shaking, knocking or blowing air. I asked Indian and Turkish services and waiting answer.

Does any know how to fix this problem???

i had faced the same problem in my nubia z17 lite and fied it by pushing the speaker gentely using my nail and it work now , before tried everi things shaking, knocking and it dosn't work , i wish that help you

I had the same problem. Reset did not help. I opened the phone, checked the speaker and it's okay. The problem is the metal speaker cover. It has such small holes that it was completely covered with dust. Only scratching with a wooden toothpick helped to remove this dirt. Now I can hear each person loud and clear. Greetings from Poland.
