SMS auto send over Bluetooth radio - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, havent noticed this before on previous note devices, but any time I receive a text while my phone is connected to the Bluetooth radio in my car, it will auto respond with "im currently driving" . Is this a handsfree option on the phone itself? I can turn off HF through bluetooth settings which disables it all together, but prefer it on without the need to an auto text. Ive looked all over the phone looking for an "auto send" option of sorts but no luck found. Did find the auto answer option which I have disabled, but didnt take care of the sms issue. The radio in question is a kenwood, so its no factory radio unit. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This is a function of the radio. Go into it's SMS menu and turn off auto response. If you need more help Google Kenwood and the message you are getting.

Thank you, wasnt sure if it was the radio as its never been an issue before.

Bluetooth Direct To Paired Other Mobile Phone

Ive asked this question loads of times before but with no answer. Is it possible to upgrade the bluetooth software on the wizard to include the following option. On normal phones, when you want to send a file to another phone by bluetooth, you first have the option to send to someone in your paired list. If they are not in your list then you can have bluetooth search the area for one. With the Wizard, you dont have this option, it has to search the area everytime, and if you are wanting to send more than file it can get really irritating. The blue angel kinda had this option for images, i tried using the bluetooth from that, but didnt work correctly. Please people, this would be a great feature to have.

Bluetooth GPS want to re-pair all the time

Hi folks,
I upgraded my Hermes with Schap's Windows Mobile 6 ROM. Works fine so far. But when I try to use my Bluetooth GPS it acts strange.
I paired the Bluetooth device and set up a COM-port for the applications. The first time it works. The next time, when I switch on Bluetooth and start for example TomTom, the Hermes tells me there is a new Bluetooth device that wants to connect. I checked and found out the GPS is still in the list of known Bluetooth devices and the COM-port is set. But the assistant is still bugging until I add the "new" device. After that of course my "old" device is gone.
How can I avoid this? Anyone experiencing the same problem?
I have the same issue, really annoying so would love to know the answer

On your Hermes:
Have you tried to checked off: "Make this device visible to other devices"?
Under: Start\Settings\Connections\Bluetooth\Mode (2nd tab on the bottom)
Option #1 (Hermes)
~If, "Make this device visible to other devices is not enabled, delete the pairing for your GPS.
~Check off "Make this device visible to other devices"
~Pair your GPS again (ensure that "Make this device visible to other devices" is still enabled)
Option #2 (GPS)
Don't know what kind of settings for bluetooth you may have on your GPS. I found for my car stereo, that I needed to leave it, in the "waiting/open for connection mode.
Now when I turn the car on it automatically connects the phone and stereo off my Hermes.
What I'm basically saying here is there may be a setting to leave your GPS automatically open for bluetooth connections?
I think option #1 may do the trick....
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

If your concerned about Security you can always change the Pairing codes.
and or turn off bluetooth when not needed.
I'm unaware of any cases where one can connect unless there paired, so in most cases access needs to be allowed on both ends, usually needing pairing codes. Even if it is one way, an approval code will still be needed.
What I found is this, if you want automatic connecting with one way pairing codes i.e. (Car Stereo to PDA or GPS to PDA) You'll need to allow "make device visible" checked off. The usual cause is a memory storing issue with the GPS or Car Stereo. I know that on high end Stereo's and GPS's they have on board memory which will save connection settings, where you'd put pairing codes on both ends and it will save the settings, thus negating the need to leave visible.
Don't know if I answered your question?
Hope I was able to shed some light on the subject....
Good Luck!

Bt Receiving Files Problem !

Hi, I have a problem with BT. When i try to send any file to anoyone, it's ok. However when someone tries to send me a file, it will write that Connection Failed. Please, if you know how to repair it, write me pls Thanks
is it set to auto recieve beams in network settings?
Oh, I didn't have set it... but now I set it, however I don't have another MT with BT, so i can try it today in the evening, but Thank you very much for the advice
I have been having the same problem here.
So Bluetooth and Beam have to be enabled to receive via bluetooth?
Tested this with a friend this evening, and I can now receive files via BT, I had just assumed that "Beam" meant IR connections.
Thanks Rudgar, looks like you have helped me out again.
Before it really meant only IR, but M$ decided to continue with it's a bit skewed (fuzzy?) logic...
Won't that drain the battery faster?
In case of BA yes, it should, because it will also activate IR receiver. In case of devices without IR (more more now) it should have no visible inluence, if BT is already active.

Bluetooth settings reset every time it pairs

So I have this really neat new car radio called uconnect, yay, unfortunately it alerts me every time I get a text message. I am able, while paired, to uncheck access to messaging but every time I re-pair the device it is checked again giving the radio access to my messages and alerting me driving me nuts. And it may have even turned itself back on while paired this am (I got an alert but can't recall if I unchecked the box when I got back in the car that time)
So I guess I am asking if there is any way to make the Bluetooth settings for individual devices permanent? An app? Some other setting? Rom? Tool box? Specifically, I want to turn off Bluetooth text notifications on only one device.
I looked all over google and forum for answers but didn't find too much - lots of unhappy uconnect (my new radio) owners for text alerting but nothing on getting my settings to stick.
Thanks in advance everyone

BLUETOOTH ON Android PX6 with MCU version STM32-20200103-11-KC6-33

Goodmorning everyone. I'd like to ask a question. I have an Android PX6 with STM32. Everything works fine, but I have problem with bluetooth speakerphone when I'm in calling. When I call people they don't feel well, very low and very distant. Before, it worked well. Have any of you encountered this problem? I found in the hidden menu the item that speaks about the BT module. It is set on BLINK-161.
Thanks in advance. (Sorry for my English)
Hi. I don't want to open a new thread. I've got similar problem. Maybe someon could help.
My radio is :
PX6 - RK3399-64GB with STM32-20200721-11KC6-40
BT version is BLINK_2161
when i first bought it everything was working fine , i was able to use bluetooth tethering on my phone to provide the internet for the unit via bluetooth.
After few weeks of using the radio this function stopped working... so i did reset the radio to factory setting and it started working again (bluetooth tethering).
A while later i updated the radio to android 10 and again, everything perfect. But after a few days the same problem.
The radio connects with my phone, the "BT phone" function works fine, i can call each other using radio, i have access to phones contacts. The only thing that is not working is bluetootgh tethering.
What to do guys? because i don't want to use wifi hotspot- it drains too much battery.
I appreciate if you could give me a hint.
i did manage to solve my problem. i had to turn off "wifi scanning for nearby devices".
when you do that, the radio automatically connects to bluetooth tethering service from the smartphone.
hope that helps someone.
