[Q] PAC or Black Power edition? - PAC Q&A

What is the difference between PAC & Black power edition?

Black power edition is unofficial, bloated version of PAC. You will get absolutely NO SUPPORT from PAC if you use that.

pac_jflte-RC-2-20141012 is what I am using right now. I was just wandering what the difference was. Thanks for the answer.

[Q] Fastboot onto the GS4

Theres a Fast boot option on the HTC One which is pretty cool and it boots the device hella fast. I was wondering would it be possible, or if anyone is trying to make this available on the GS4 ?

(Q) Some games close to the Home Screen?

I'm running MBQ_'s latest uXylon nightly with AKFaux hybrid kernel hyper version.
Where I try to play some 3d games (Call of mini zombies, ace skies, world of blocks online, etc) they just close to the home screen after a few seconds. Never had this problem before. Please can somebody shed some light on this?
Thanks!

I have it too, with official uXylon.
It could be a touch screen problem, because when you don't touch the screen, the game don't close itself.

its most likely a rom/kernel or an undervolt problem. as this is exactly what would happen if wasnt enough voltage, either for the phone or game. and also considering that you both are running uXylon, official and nightly.
It's with all kernel and UV. So the problem could be from uXylon. But what exactly?

If you've set it to go in to expanded desktop automatically for these apps, try turning that off and putting it into e.d. first, then launching the game. I have this problem with NFS most wanted, so I just put it into e.d. beforehand and then launch the game

Per-App-Expand ?
I don't have apps on it. And it's the same with Expanded Desktop enabled.

I'm on Carbon now and the problem has gone, this is definitely unique to uXylon.

Isn't a kernel problem, isn't a unique buggy N4, isn't on the other Rom so yes, it's uXylon. But why..

I'd say it's carbon, yes. I'm very happy with carbon, no offence to any developers but it seems much more stable for me too.

This will be fixed soon.
Someone know in which build this bug start ?
Bug fixed. The last Beta (07/13) from Dax is working, finally !

Where are CM or AOSP Based roms for the N9005

Been quite a while now and there are still no roms based on CM or AOSP for the N9005?
There's three devs working on it ATM, but I can only remember one guy : Utkanos. Last I heard he got RIL figured out.
I'm getting kinda worried too. But if they could bring CM to the Note 2 (with all the Exynos shenanigans) the Qualcomm Note 3 shouldn't be a problem.

[Q] is the blue best buy gs4 any different than the white/black models?

so i just picked up a black s4 for myself and a blue s4 for my wife. the blacks have been out a while but as far as i know the blue ones have been out no longer than a month. does anyone know if this blue model has any newer hardware than the rest? can i root and flash it the same?
The only difference is the color. It will function like any other S4

Same phone, just a different color. I bought a Blue one from BB last night, and rooted it an hour after I brought it home. I have not been able to get TWRP installed on it yet though (using the GooManager method). Will probably Odin that later, so I can then make a backup, and start flashing custom Roms.

Full screen display

Has been using PA since galaxy nexus, now with pa3.99rc2 on my Nexus 4 and 7 2013. Just wondering except PA, which Other rom provide the full screen display feature? I know pie can be done with apps. PA is very slow on Kitkat.
