Hey, so I searched everything and read like 800 pages and it was just this delete lteconfig apk and enable lte thing.
I have a d801 from tmobile america and living in germany. I want to use lte on o2. it is activated from them.I dont have a lteconfig apk what is kinda weird
it seems like there is no exact same problem like I have. Please lovely dudes and duderines somebody has an idea? I go buy you cookies!

I suspect it's just because the update.zip file does not contain any mention of the correct model for Bell. The Bell model is a GT-i9000M. Anyone can update the zip file so I can try again?? Thanks.
Did you try the update method for the i9000? That one might work

Yes, I did. When it runs it shows i5800, i9000, sgh-i897 but not i9000m. I think it's a simple thing to just add the model number to the script, because I'm pretty sure it gets installed to the same places, but I'm no expert.
Edit: I found the updater script in the zip file and looked at it with notepad, but I'm scared to just add similar notations for the i9000M without some confirmation from someone who knows more.
It really is that simple as finding the few lines in the script and copying the two you need and adding the model name displayed in your settings > about phone.
I'd throw an update.zip for ya but I have to run soon. The worst that'll likely happen is the script won't run if you get the model name wrong.
nice so I'd give it a go

Ok, thanks, I know enough to try it. We'll see.
Sweet! It was that simple. I just added an M to the i9000 already in the file. Thanks guys for the feedback.
could you post the update.zip for other bell people?
What are your radio frequencies? im interested in knowing if the Bell Vibrant has any compatible freqs... Our vibrant works 3g for Tmo and AT&T, a first for gsm phones i think?

tmo us: 1700/1900/2100 per wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-Mobile

Frequencies for Bell are 850/1900. So it works on Rogers, Telus, ATT.
I still find it really strange that tmobile chose to add in utms 1900 to the phone...do they even have any unused spectrum in that band...its just really bazar
I don't want to know bells freqs.. I wanna know what the bell vibrants box says...

I couldn't figure out the button sequence either. I ended up using the tools from the AndroidSDK and the 'adb reboot recover' command.
Croak, I just PM'd you.
Edit: never mind, I'm on my way down
ive been looking everywhere. is it the i9505, t-mobile, att, or rogers? or sprint... :silly:

If you're on 4G, it's LTE.
Just want it to say LTE when on 4g.

The newest rom had that mod. Antigen by venum its sweet no problems so far
If you change last three letters of your you built props line ro.product.name.jfltespr to att for the icon im using which is att. Or tmo for tmobile. Vzw for verizon lte sybols all these are built in the phone reboot and enjoy. Works on stock and everything else
Rom toolbox is what I use to change built props its very easy to use.

Yes you are correct. These build prop edits do what you say. But as I understood the op he wanted the 4g icon to say ONLY LTE. Those edits will not do that... maybe I misundertood what he was asking. In any event, in my rom I edited the actual icons to say only "LTE" while on 4G without needing to change the build.prop which the average user doesnt really know how to do (although it is in fact, easy). Either way he has his answer...:good:
I would like for it to say 4G LTE but LTE alone is fine if no 4G LTE is available.

What @Joe0113 posted the link should help you get that icon. But just watch out when downloading something that reads build.prop because it might think you have that variant but you actually have a sprint variant.

Thanks, figured it out. Will this interfere with anything? Like ROMs or Mods.
SAC's ROM has it in the 3minit settings.

Thank you!
Smart caller ID. It's tells you the name of businesses or identify numbers known as scams
@XxCyberHackerxX
Is this a 3rd party app or some option in S8? Will it tell names of all number or just businesses?
