Question about ok button top right

hey i have a herald wing mobile 6 and i use agile messenger it has a x in the top right corner, that is the only program i want to always run. is there a way to change it to a ok button so it minimizes? without changing the x button feature. almost like some program that allows you to always keep open a program you pick? thanks
You can use Start->Today function to keep it running on background. Put a shortcut in Start menu for the program you want to switch again and again.
Ok button means it will accept the changes anyhow if you will change it by mistake even you have to live with it. The X button means it can be closed but you have to use X-Button utility to enable the closing feature.
dont you get the little htc task manager then? that does exactlly what you want, tap x to minimise, tap and hold to close, it works very well

Rotate screen with gestures? Is it possible?

Hello,
Is there a way (program or tool) to rotate the device screen with gestures?
I think any application that would do this would have a hard time telling between normal stylus use and a guesture.
But, its even easier to assign screen rotation to a button.

it is possible. you could install FTouch and assign the rotate.exe (somewhere in the /windows folder i think) to something like left -> right.
wktask has a gesture feature that can be mapped to screen rotate by moving left/down from the top right corner.
how complex a gesture??
You can certainly move one of your basic swipes in Touch Flo - but I have always thought that the way it is set up in HTCAlbum was quite cute. The idea that you draw a "c" on the screen and it rotates the album in that direction (or a backwards c rotating it the other way).
There was some work on more complex gesture regognition a few months back which might be able to be used to identify "rotate if I draw a C" type behaviour:

Yes, I think this will be the best way to rotate the screen. Gestures like left-right, right-left will be useless, because there is many other programs, with them. For example SPB Mobile shell, S2V, etc.
It might be just one gesture symbol that rotates the screen with 90 degrees more every time when it is drawed. Then will be possibility to use more complex symbols like 8 or Z.
try mortbuttons....i think for your purposes you will need to now the path of the rotate app, make a lnk file and ensure that the shortcut works and using VJbrisk you will be have an upward swipe gesture and be able to rotate the screen..to rotate back again im not too sure about..
Hope this helps
Wisbar Advanced Desktop will allow you to do that. The final was just released yesterday. You can map that as a script to an up, down, left, and right finger swipe.

Remote Desktop Mobile - Show keyboard during full screen?

Does anyone know how to show the software keyboard during a remote desktop session that is running in full screen mode?
I second this,
does anybody know how, i have connected to my work TerminalServer in full screen landscape, but cannot get a keyboard!!!
any ideas please
i wish to keep using Remote Desktop Mobile!
don't use full screen...
then it's almost fullscreen but with the little icon for the keyboard on the bottom.
I had the same problem. and this worked for me.
i just activate the virtual keyboard of windows when i remote control my computer (go to start --> all programs --> accessories --> Ease of Access (ore sth. like that i dunno the english term) --> onscreen keyboard.
altough, this keyboard is pretty hard to use because it's very small.
I'm desperately trying to find this out too. If you don't run in full screen, you have the big black bar across the top and the big black bar across the bottom. You waste loads of screen space, plus when trying to close a program you often end up hitting the "ok/x" button of win mo. Does anyone have any experience with remote desktop mobile? Any reg tweaks to show a keyboard button?
i haven't tried this myself, but this SHOULD work in theory...
map a button (go to Settings->Personal->Buttons) to "<Input Panel>" (should be at the top of the list of mappable items). i guess only the Send key's Long Hold will be available for most people for mapping purposes...
once mapped to a hardware button of your choice, fire up remote desktop in fullscreen mode and give that button a press...see if the windows mobile on-screen keyboard pops up...
let us know what happens...cheers from pakistan!

I tried this; however the keyboard flashes momentarily and refuses to remain.
try zaDesktop (free), which imo works much better: more configuration options, including screen resolution setting (up 10 1024x768), plus easy access to keyboard - long press on the screen during session and choose "Show keyboard" (see attached pic)
as for Remote Desktop Mobile, the last resort is using PC Windows on-screen keyboard, but it's not that convenient
i have it linked to the gsensor to rotate the screen, then just rotating my phone allows me to call up the keyboard.

[Q] Now I have android on nand, how to map win key to app menu?

Hi everyone, I've searched but I can't seem to find anything.
What would be the file to edit and code to map hard key with windows logo to the application drawer to open in home screen only? Is this something possible? I'm using AWD launcher
Is there another way to achieve this?
Thanks in advance
why would you like that ? it's useless
Yup pretty useless
So how would you bring up the menu?
Well, i do see what you mean with useless... but would be nice to have short press for programs and long press for normal menu you get when pressing it...
Not that important anyways!
Long press is already used to bring up keyboard and to hide it.

Would it be possible to have a 3rd party app with a floating toolbar

that hovers over the tablets own that we can assign the buttons to do the takes we want ? For example when we click on home on the floating toolbar it brings whatever launcher we want to the front as longs as its running?
Also when we wake the tablet either by clicking the power button or touching the screen it brings the launcher we want to the front.
It would help those of us who are unfortunely stuck on the latest firmware and cannot assign our launcher.
