[Q] i9505 back to stock using mobile odin - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Do any of you guys know if I can get my i9505 back to stock only using mobile odin?
I don't have a Windows PC to use odin with as I use linux so was wondering if I could revert this way, I'm currently rooted running CM11

I think I used it to root it originally but have a faint recollection of it being a complete ballache
I'll go with that then, I was hoping to be able to do it before I got home from work today but I suppose I'll have a crack with heimdal
Thanks breh!

My device was rooted with an autoroot, worked excellent until I updated the FW...
I now have xxubmf5 installed, and its a nordic phone.
But.. Cant seem to find any autoroot file for this?
Tried searching, but ended up in endless threads spanning hundreds of pages :crying:
Anyone who can direct me in the right direction?

Thanks, but...
Used that method last time, but as I said after updating the phone I cannot get this to work any more :crying:
And, as a new member Im not allowed to post to that thread...
I have Avast installed, and for the firewall to operate it needs root. (one of the reasons to root).
Always worked flawless, and after the FW-update it still does... No sure why...

[Q] Help unrooting

I wanted to start a new thread since i havent had any luck finding an answer to my question. Basically i need to know how can i unroot my LG G2 LS980 from Sprint. I just want it back to stock. I have tried a few ways (threads in the forums) but after trying fro a few mins they dont seem to work. then when i go to the end of the thread it says these way no longer works. The last one i tried made me download firmware and use the LG Flash tool and change the megalock.dll but after checking all the settings and launching the tool it just sits at 0% forever. I even tried the turn off and put back on download mode again while not closing the tool and it still does the same.
my phone is still on stock recovery, running android 4.2.2 and software version LS980ZV8
I tried doing the OTA that pops up on my phone every other day but it fails to update halfway thru it. Now i want kitkat and i cant update it. I guess worse case i would like to flash a stock rom with kitkat (stock) and still keep it rooted but my issue is im still stuck on ZV8
Well you can easily unroot from inside supersu but if you have modified any part of the system/xposed/removed bloat you will not be able to update unless you flash back to stock
Sent from my LG-D800 running stock kk, rooted with philz using XDA app

have the same issue on the bottom it shows B80 rooted
ok found the culprit
forgot to change the com to 41 (windows)
after that it worked fine
Sucks being new
So i need at-least 10 post so I can post in a development forum which kinda sucks. I'm not a total noob i don't need help with flashing anything. I have a legitimate question with a problem im having with a rom. Posting this 10 times in random forums to see if I get intermission to post in Development Forum.

that isn't going to work, you are supposed to make at least 10 helpful post in which you well obviously help someone
Honestly the only help I can give you since I'm using an AT&T version is this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lg693AYgoTo
I know it's for AT&T but for AT&T and Sprint you use the same method to flash. You just have to replace the .tot and .dll for your sprint phone, because the ones included are for the AT&T version. Other than that the steps are the same.
PS the Development forums are not for Q&A, it's for development and feedback (Like logcats and bug fixes, etc).

Do you mean you want to download ROMs off XDA and move them from your Mac to your phone, then flash ROM? If you want to move files from Mac to phone use Airdroid on Wifi. No better choice.
Edit: sorry you want an Odin like tool, not sure about that sorry.

Unfortunately, the only other option is to try using a VM. I am in the same boat. You may want to comment on the issue I created on the Heimdall github https://github.com/Benjamin-Dobell/Heimdall/issues/203
The more information that can be gained the better.
Parallels are way better than vm i have tried vm many time.. on my note 3 i got error while flashing through odin..
then i install parallels and it really worked nice...
for transfer your data you can use android file transfer on mac.. jss google android file transfer...

Flash another carrier's rom?

Scratch my back I'll scratch yours.
Complete this and get me an NV backup file and I'll test the ROM for you when my phone is back to normal. I ran a custom rom for an SGH-M919 on an SPH-L720 with no issues, just had a mishap.
I don't understand a single ****ing thing in this guide...
sorry im good with computers but android are another world altogether.
