No I did not I ended up selling the phone as I wanted to change networks but I could not unlock the pjone.
Ei.. any fix for this?
i BELIEVE this is part of Samsung's "business strategy".. i was resolve this using the Samsung Service Mode apk (which I cracked and patched :highfive, however i have another issue related to this (see attached pic)!
In this case...may i ask if anyone from XDA knows the secret code for the UMTS Menu for me to access the Network Unlock menu???

Hi XDA Peeps!
I was able to unlock my i9505!
I just did the following steps:
1. Dial *#0011# via Phone Utility apk [Phone Connectivity Status will appear (via Service Mode)];
2. Tap on the left soft key (LSK) and select Key Input > Enter 1 > Hit OK;
3. Tap on the LSK and select BACK [You're now just a few steps away!];
4. Tap on the LSK and select Key Input > Enter 1 > Hit OK [Your screen shall have a different output now (i.e., a single digit "1" on line 1)];
5. WAIT for 5 seconds until the UMTS MAIN MENU appears > Select Debug Screen > Select Phone Control > Select Network Lock;
6. Next, tap on: [3] PERSO SHA256 OFF;
7. From here, go back to the UMTS MAIN MENU by tapping on Menu (left soft key on SGS4) and selecting Back from the options;
8. Once you are in the UMTS menu, tap on: [6]COMMON;
9. There, select: [6]NV REBUILD;
10. Now in the NV Rebuild menu, tap on: [4] Restore Back-up;
11. Samsung Galaxy S4 will now go into a temporary freezing state. After a while you’ll see some activities. The screen will be black and the LED will turn Blue. The Menu and Back key button on phone will also light;
12. Lastly, your Samsung Galaxy S4 will reboot automatically and will take a minute or two in booting up (depending on your ROM's Boot Animation);
BOOM! Your Galaxy S4 GT i9505 is now SIM-unlocked! Try a SIM card from another carrier to confirm the process and do not forget to share this to your friends too!

Make sure you are not on the MJA update. You will not be able to revert to earlier firmware to complete the original sim unlock procedure. You will have to have Sprint Worldwide unlock the sim for you before doing the US gsm unlock.

I did Odin Flash the correct modem -when I insert a non Sprint SIM i do not get the invalid sim message so something did take.
i still would like a thread to the gsm unlock if anyone can link it please? i understand i need to do the international unlock then the gsm unlock but i cannot find a thread about gsm unlock working, i cant find where those instructions are from. please link.

Before hand i am very sorry that I bump an old thread however, this pertains to this and i can't find any info on my current issue and following you has got me the farthest along with my problem.
My galaxy note 4 reads no service, so I tried the *#0011# approach (no root) could not find the menu, with the input method
Then I rooted it and used your app and was now able to access the menu.
However I still can not find the run ping test option.
My firmware is version 5.1.1

I am trying to fix it so my phone no longer reads No service, It seems like the fix is to go into service menu and run a ping test from basic info, but thats just what i have read in other forums.
Hello guys.
So I'm having an issue that I can't seem to solve ..
I've an SM-N9005 running CyanogenMod M12. Lately I've been having issues with my GPS. I can't get a fix whatsoever. When I turn the A-GPS/High accuracy mode, I get a close location to where I'm, but not the exact location and still no navigation app would work.
When I'm in a car, it'd show my location outside the road. and If I'm sitting in someplace, it'd show my location somewhere else ( within my area bit something like 200 meters away)
If AGPS is off, it'd take 20 minutes and Still no fix.
Here are the things I've tried to solve it.
- wiped and factory reset ( countless times )
- installed like 6 other different ROMs ( same issue )
- tried other CM versions and wiped too
- cleaned AGPS data using GPS status app.
Nothing seemed to work whatsoever. The problem has been going for a while, but GPS used to work perfectly fine before for like 8 months .. And it's out of warrantee period so I can't exchange it. Any solutions?
Did you try it on stock firmware?
It may be an issue of custom roms

Wait for a few seconds and the screen options will change
Press om UMTS
Press on Common
Press on NV Rebuild
Press on NV Rebuild
Press on System, Protocol, GPS, IMS
Wait for 30 seconds and then shutdown your phone
Power On phone
GPS should work fine now
Recommend to use GPS STATUS app to reset and download AGPS Data
USSD code isn't running for some reason
It may need to be a stock rom that you try it on

Yes, you are right. It is due to CM had removed all secret codes.
On the stock firmware, there are more than 170 secret codes in our Note 3.
I'm stock unrooted and I have the same GPS issue. Happened right after I updated to 4.4.4 and my gps icon changed to the location icon.

Hi all,
In first, sorry for bad english, i m French lol.
I have a lag with my gps, i install ROM Dr Ketan for n910f. I want post on thread but I'm new user.
I want use this topic :
1) Open Phone, go to the dialer.
2) Enter *#0011# to enter the service mode. You will land at "DEBUG SCREEN"
I hit menu key and select "back"
3) Hit the menu key, select "Key Input" and in the Input Value box, enter Q (capital letter) and hit OK
4) Hit the menu key again, select "Key Input", and in the Input value box, enter 0000 (four zeros) and hit OK
5) Wait about 5-10 seconds, your service menu should change to "MAIN MENU":
Code:
MAIN MENU
[1] PROTOCOL STATE
[2] UE SETTINGS & INFO
[3] ETC
[4] DEBUG SCREEN(OPEN)
[5] OPERATOR(OPEN)
Now I haven't messed around in here too much, but if you want to reset your modem and GPS (restore the factory NV values for the modem, which COULD help data dropouts, bad GPS fix, etc.), do the following:
1) Enter the MAIN MENU as described above
2) Select option 2 "UE SETTINGS & INFO"
3) Select option 1 "SETTING"
4) Select option 2 "SYSTEM"
5) Select option 3 "NV REBUILD"
6) Select option 3 "ALL"
7) It will tell you to reboot. Do it. Reboot will take slightly longer, but it will completely reset the modem, GPS, and IMS settings
But a step 5, I wait , but any screen for select.
You have a solution ?? Plz
Thx
Anybody have solution ??
