Google Maps app fore quit

Hi guys,
Thought I'd share, does anyone else find the gmaps app force close when getting directions? it runs ok when I start it and after a couple of seconds after looking for directions the map itself goes blank and then the app shuts down. I tried clearing the apps data a cache but still the same.
Surprisingly (and I'm being ironic), this started after the ICS update.
Has anybody else been getting this? ASUS and google, this is for you!
Yes, I get this often. It's like the Gmail problem I also get sometimes.
Check out the Google Maps reviews on Google Play, the website version, filtered for ASUS Transformer TF101 owners only. Almost all of them are having these problems lately.
Same thing with Gmail. Filter the reviews for TF101 only and sort by newest first. Almost all reviews having problems with Gmail lately.
Count me in. Both apps work for awhile after a reboot then begin to do as described.
Same here. Google maps trying to find your gps location causes maps to blank then force close. Update after update still same issues. Asus email widget gets stuck without updating how many new emails etc. When in inbox just freezes and FC.
YOUTUBE is always flickering when you type to search.
I am using Megatron 1.04 CM9 build but don't think it is issue with rom. All this happened after ICS update. Asus and Google really ****ed up this OS upgrade. So many issues with their own OS and their OWN apps not integrating properly is just bad PR for both hardware and software. Makes one wonder if they bothered with any QA at all.
good point about the flickering Youtube app.. also, if you have your keyboard plugged in, when you hit space while typing in the search field, it skips through videos! seems as the space as a navi key overrides space as the space key, if this makes sense.. all of those are GOOGLE native apps and I just can't believe the bogus stuff ASUS and GOOGLE released and still have not fixed!

Play Store only shows permissions???

Just got my Nexus 10 and I am really annoyed with the way the Play Store is working on it. Apps only show their permissions instead of the description as to what the app does, changelog, pics, etc that one would normally see. Anyone else having this issue and how can I fix it? Tried deleting all of the data from the Play Store but issue prevails.
they changed the UI, which I agree with you, it's stupid. Anyways you can get to the description if you click on the area above all the permissions.

It's just a UI change. You have to tap on the picture of the area where the logo/name and install/uninstall buttons are. I hate it. It's even worse now with the new Play Store update... a similar issue is now present on the N4 and N7 for me. Especially annoying when an app has an update and you have go to a separate screen to find out what the update contains...
wow, yeah, that is annoying

[Q] Google Play Book dictionary stopped working after update

Before the latest update (on 7th Oct), the dictionary in play book was working fine. After update, it stopped working, but the translate function still works. Is this common for all?
I've noticed the same exact thing on my Nexus 7. Its really bugging me because I do use Play Books and the offline dictionary all the time.
Is there an older version of the Play Books APK that can be downloaded?
Same here... Why is no one else bothered by this? Does everyone use the Kindle app?

I am very bothered by this. lol
Has anyone found a solution for this. Can any other people confirm if it's working or not?
If not i'm thinking of moving away from play books. What are some alternatives with a clean interface and the ability to change the background?
I have the same problem. Whatbi find interesting is that its only a problem is the eBook in self uploaded. If you brought a book via play store or download a free sample from the store then the dictionary works fine.

Good news: I got a reply to a Play Store review saying that this is a bug and that they will resolve it very soon. Fingers crossed!

Better news! It's finally working for me. Can't believe something so small had been bugging me so much. Glad it's back.
Sorry to pull this thread out but the dictionary is not working for me on the note 3. I am on CM11 4.4 KitKat, is this the cause?

What do you think, will youtube app get Material design update?

It seems like they abandoned youtube app, all gapps which come preloaded are updated to material design except youtube. Weird. What do you think guys?
They also forgot hangouts
Messenger looks great. If only they could male hangouts looks so good ...
They're probably working on the music key system but they will materialize YouTube (my opinion)

com.sec.factory.cameralyzer? Spyware?

Going through the list of apps that comes with the tab I came across this peculiar cameralyzer thing, com.sec.factory.cameralyzer. What is it? Sounds like it could be spyware. Tried to google it no one seems to know.
