Hi Awesome ppl of xda. I'm from Australia and looking at getting note 4, when looking on Samsung's Au site the model number is sm-910G which has the same network bands as the sm-910f. I would like to root n use custom roms to fix the sd card. Iv looked in the SnapDragon development forum as see that sm-910f has few roms already. So want to know would I be able to flash a sm-910f Rom on a sm-910g device. I'm new to Samsung but been using adb and fastboot from HTC desire, HTC one x to One Plus one. So not a total nOOb. Cheers guys.

-F- ROM is for the 910F, -G- ROM for the 910G
So NO: you can't flash -F- ROM on a -G- model! Logical...

Stick to G mate. Or get N910U exynos model. It's fine for Australia. I'm rocking it right now
cheers guys, I'll just get the sm-910U due to being a lot easer to get online and roms are starting to come out for it.

Hey guys!
I am in a fix here. I have finally decided to go for Galaxy S5 but I am unable to choose between the two available SD devices i.e. SM- G900F (European) & SM-G900S (Korean). I see most of the developments happening in 900F at the moment but i am getting a better deal on 900S.
I don't want to end up buying a device where I am unable to flash custom ROMs as I am kinda used to be updated now Thanks to XDA for that!! Someone claims to have already made an enabler for korean versions which would allow us to install any SD ROM on the korean version just by flashing a zip.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2789848 .So please suggest which one should I go for as i need to book the device ASAP.
F is the obvious choice is development is what you care about. I doubt there will be much here for the S but if that zip works then maybe it's not an issue. Personally though I think the F is a no brainer

Thanks Goldie!! Can anyone confirm the usability of the Enabler for the Korean version?

No one to help?? Any korean model user on the forum?
Hi folks,
I bought a Galaxy Note 3 from SK Telecom (Korea), model number SM-N900S. I figured out how to change the language to English, but I'm a little uneasy about the ungodly number of pre-installed apps and services on there. I can't be sure that the thing isn't spying on me when there is a "Remote Device Management" app that can't be turned off (!!)
Can I flash it with a US ROM, or does it have to be a SKT ROM? If US ROM is OK, which model for the firmware should I be looking at?
Thanks!

You can't. You can only use ROMs built for N900S (SK Telecom) and N900K (Korea Telecom).

Ok, thanks. Can I do a custom ROM (like the "Galaxy S5 Stock ROM v20.0" that was just released even though it says "N9005")?

You can't. Only ROMs for S/K variants work.

I actually had luck by replacing the boot.img in the S5 rom with a SKT boot.img from the latest stock rom. Is there any disadvantage to this method?
i like MOTO
u can.
yep u can
juz replace boot.img or flash custom kernel port for note 3 Korea.
I use 9005 custom rom for note 3 900S normally.

OK great. That's what worked for me, I can't understand why it took 3 days of searching to find that answer!
Typing this from my N900S with a custom S5 rom!

You could although its not recommended and no i dont mean this for all roms. just some roms. sometimes the radio will refuse to work and it will wipe ur external SDcard. you might want to pick out a rom and look for ur specific model in that rom section to see if anyone has gave it a go.
Umm, no. You can't flash an N900 ROM to an N9005 or vice versa, I don't think so.
As per what ROM you should use, well you can't ask for that type of queries here, goes against some rule of XDA.
My favourite and recommendation will always be stock ROMs though, and if you really have an urge to try custom ROMs then choose stock based ones at least.
about rom
a lot of people they update to the echoe rom v22 with that model
give it a try
hello sorry if its been asked, but is it possible to cross flash S6 edge+? I have the canadian G928W8, and would love to change it to the unbranded international version. If anyone know a trick it would be great. thanks Pigbait.
123 views, I guess it's not possible?

Hello. Why do u wanna change it sir?
I've got a bunch of carrier loaded bloate, and I don't want to do the crappy disabled app work around, also would be nice to get the OTA updates from Samsung and not need to wait 2years for my carrier to approve the update
Root your phone if you haven't yet. Go to this website. Find the correct firmware and version for your device. Download and flash it. You should be good to go then
Yeah. I have G928C but im using note 5 roms and kernel on it. Its up to your handiness.
Hello,
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and although I definitely should've checked the model number I did not. My mistake. But I've come to realize that the phone is a Korean variant and as such I can't modify it and put custom ROMs on it - if you can, I'm not sure how.
I'm a novice on smartphones and putting custom ROMs on them, I've done it before on a Note 3 that I owned (Canadian variant).
Since there aren't any custom ROMs (that I can find) for the Korean variant... Is it possible I can somehow convert the phone to an international variant or perhaps force the process?
Thanks in advance.

Try this ROM...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/development/rom-nemesis-refined-v3-5-n7port-t3587637
I have an n910s too...
Tried almost all ROMS and this is the best one.
Good luck.
If you find a way to convert to international version please let me know how to.
Thanks.
Thank for the input but I'm going to be returning the phone and getting an international or Canadian variant, as I would like to use LineageOS on it or something similar. I don't want any ROMs that look or feel like TouchWiz.
