[Q] D800 CM11 Developer? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is CM11 still being officially developed for the D800? The newest Snaphot available for it is M6, even though M11 has been out for awhile. There is a changelog still, but development seems like it's kinda dead.

[Q] Rooting 4.3 CM 10.2. What does this mean?

Newbie here.
I saw this thread about [ROM] CyanogenMod OFFICIAL NIGHTLIES - 4.3 - CM10.2 - D80 and I don't know about 4.3? Is this means that my G2 will upgrade to 4.3 with CM10.2? Thanks guys. Just want to know before rushing to CM10.2. And lastly does CM have bugs on camera/video settings/modes? Thanks guys!
I don't keep up with CM revision number nomenclature, so this may be wrong... Best place to ask is probably inside the thread you're asking about.
That said, I'm assuming CyanogenMod 10.2 is built from AOSP 4.3 source and has been ported to the G2 D80x models.
As of yesterday evening, I believe all the 4.3 ROMs were reporting a few bugs involving audio, wake lock, and camera. The latest GOO.IM GAPPS camera.apk seemed to be working, including panorama.
Again, I'm not actively monitoring the D80x models or CM, so this could be slightly inaccurate.

Which ROMs are Available for the D803?

I only see two ROMS available for the D803: PA 4.4 which is still in alpha and PowerUser Edition V1.2 which hasn't been updated for a month and half.
Am I missing something? Or are there just less developers for the D803?

Is there any stable version of CM (or any rom) for I9500?

Hello
I am fed up of the TouchWiz look and feel.
I want to stay closest to AOSP in look and feel, apps, etc.
All Android 4.3 and 4.4 versions posted on XDA have some or the other bugs for I9500 (in both Android development and Android Original development)
When I checked CM downloads. there is one 10.2 stable build for I9505 (Officially supported) on their site.
All unofficial builds are ported on XDA, and I9500 is an unofficial device for CM.
For I9500, on XDA, we have both CM 10.2 nightlies and CM 11 nightlies. But none of them have any stable builds.
Also, no AOKP, Slim, etc.
Where can I get a pure AOSP look and feel kind of ROM. Even Android 4.2.2 will also do.

I'm a little bit confused as to which ROMS use 4.4 kk kernel? CM, PA, Mahdi?

Hello everyone!
I'm currently on CM11 nightlies on my d800 and I'm a tad bit confused as to what is going on with the 4.4 kernels. What AOSP ROM's are currently using 4.4 and not the JB kernel?
Does that mean CM11 is falling behind because it's still using the JB kernel?
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks a bunch!!

There is a list that usually has [4.x.x] in the Roms description: [INDEX][REPO][AIO] LG G2 - ROMs | Kernels | MODs | Recoveries [NEW-UPDATED][5.5.14]
By the way, [4.x.x] is the ANDROID ROM version (Jelly Bean, Kit Kat etc), not the KERNEL version.
Compass.
I think the OP is confused.. Maybe he's trying to ask the same as i..
1- What are the AOSP ROMs that are actually using the 4.4 LG Sources?
2- We all know that PA is using the 4.4 LG Sources (at least, Houstonn has started to merge them).. So, what ROMs are using Houstonn's source code?
Anyone?

This is exactly what I'm asking! I didn't know how exactly to type it out.
I don't have a direct answer. There is the XDA Kernels, but there isn't much there.
I guess searching would be the best thing to do.
Why the worry about the kernels anyway?

Mahdi 2.5 release 1
Paranoid Android 4.3+ betas
Furnace kernel 2.2.x
Those are the only G2 ROMs/kernels that use the full 4.4.x source tree, drivers and binary blobs. You need to use the LG 4.4.x baseband with these ROMs.
All other ROMs and kernels for the G2 use the 4.4.x Android sources with the 4.2.x kernel sources, drivers, and binary blobs. You need to use either the LG 4.2.x baseband, or the 4.4.x baseband modified by dr87.
You cannot mix kernels between ROMs if they use different source trees for the kernels.
And is you use the wrong baseband for the ROM, you will lose sensors, GPS, and auto-rotate; or it will bootloop.

Only those two ROMs?
So far, yes, those are the only two.

I need the 4.4.4 CM11 ROM

I hate Android 5+ so damn much but the CM download page is down for whatever reason (503). Does anyone have a copy of the CM 11 ROM for the USC Galaxy S5?
Here's one for plain KLTE. I just searched cm 11 snapshot klte. Try that for your device.

EDIT: And here is an unofficial build of cm-11 temasek for klteusc.

Thanks, will try them.
I hate most of the new Android versions and my S4 runs happily on 4.4.4. My S5 is running a 6.0.1 version of SlimRom, which is quite awful, but it's better than anything else I tried.
Honestly I'll probably use KitKat until it's officially depreciated by Google.
4.3 has the best customisation support, literally anything can be customized. I had 4.3 on an LG P505 and it was awesome, but 4.4.4 was probably the best version of Android ever released.
Give this a try. Hope it helps.
