I flashed the latest 4.2.2 factory image from google. but it wont boot. stuck at ''X'' boot animation. I can access bootloader. I have tried several times but no luck. it still stucks at boot logo. then i flashed team win recovery and tried to install a custom rom(xenon hd stable 6.0) by pushing rom files by adb. But unfortunately recovery cant factory reset or wipe the cache. it fails. and even it fails to flash the custom rom zip file. Now i have fallen in a completely stupid situation. Please somebody help. Before flashing i was in xylon rom with twrp recovery. Before that i had cwm recovery. But I thought flashing factory image will completely wipe everything. But I cant figure out why it is happening. Please help.
I figured out something ! I have flashed CWM 6.0.23 recovery now. and it says it cant mount anything. I think there is the problem. What can i DO ppl?
Flash the stock recovery and clear cache.

Solved !!
At first I tried all types of ''mounting sd card'' process in adb. none worked.
Finally
in CWM recovery > Mounts and storage > format /data and /data/media (/sdcard) [ not to be confused with the full ''format /sdcard'' option ]
and it worked. Thanks BTW
Guys, I need some help with my Galaxy S4 - 9505.
I'm running Omera rom with TWRP recovery.
I had one random restart and decided to wipe cache and dalvik. But I can't. , recovery report that cache could not be mounted.
I changed recovery with PhilZ but its the same. Also the partition size is shown 0MB.
This is the second time i got this issue.
Could anyone of you help me to understand why this happen?

First you should do a nandroid backup.
Your best bet is to do a system reset (under settings in the phone) and then download the stock odin
flash pre-rooted i9505 rom from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2409867
Odin flash it and then check out the phone make sure all is well.
After that get the Odin flashable Philz, CWM or TWRP recovery and flash it, (or simply use goomanager to get twrp)
then get the latest update of SuperSU and flash that in recovery. (both goomanager & superSU are free apps at the playstore)
Then after checking everything out making sure everything is working properly make another nandroid backup.
After that flash any of the i9505 compatible custom rom you like.
@Misterjunky, thanks for the reply.
I actually have done this first time i got this issue, so did same and now.
More or less I try to understand why cache got corrupted? And could this be some kind of hardware issue with the internal memory.
I tried format cache on twrp-3.0.0.0 and now I can't mount cache partition. System wont boot and reinstallation does not help. I flashed old 2.8.7 recovery and new 3.0.0.1 but nothing helps. I wont only reinstall Flyme.
Sorry for my bad English.
I wiped successfully my cache partition with this recovery.
I keep getting this message on TWRP (Unable to mount Cache)
When I try to wip dalvik cache/cache.
Then the device freeze and reboot into bootloop so I have to flash a new firmware via Odin all over again!
This happen too when I flash the xposed framework even if I didn't Wipe dalvik cache/cache.
I'm facing this problem on both kitkat and lollipop
HELP ME PLEASE!
i flashed twrp and installed the zip directory via the bootloader.
My friend told me i also had to wipe davik and art cache after installing.
Now my phone is in a bootloop and my friend isn't available to help.
any ideas?
