Should i buy oneplus one ? - ONE General

Hello,
i have a Samsung S3 right now with CM11 nightly. It is pretty good and stable. Drivers are not perfect. Expecially camera drivers.
I would like to buy a new device. I have waited for N6 and unfortunally it is too big, too thick e too expensive. So I am thinking to buy a Oneplus One.
I have read around about touchscreen issue. It is fixed ? Drivers in Cyanogen are stable ?
I want a stable phone for daily use. It is ok to test new rom o new kernel sometimes, but i need a stable phone to work with.
What you think ? Should i buy one ?
Thank you !

I have the OPO and its been over 2 month i'm using it!The phone is great and so are the drivers! No touchscreen issues for me!I use multi rom to test new rooms!I think you should go with the oneplus!

I think before making a new thread for a question thats been asked a million times before and an answer that only you can answer you should search for what others have said. Here are only a few I found real quick that can help you out. Lets be honest as well you are asking about rooting your phone and will it be stable. You can read up on any rom you like and find out if its stable but honestly there all based off of cm which is quite stable at this moment. If you are worried stay stock.
First link stock rooted where I would go to ask or rather read up to see just how stable the stock rom is... At least its a starting point. My bad if you think I am being an ass but your question is slightly subjective and all your answers are out there for you. Again my bad

OnePlus One fits a niche crowd, people who like to tinker with their devices and want a true powerhouse to take advantage of. There is also a subset of users that would want a pure-ish Android experience with a customizable interface minus the fluff that comes with a skinned interface like TouchWiz or Sense.
As it stands, I like CyanogenMod without any further tweaks. The phone runs well and doesn't give me many issues to worry about. (Note: no phone is perfect)

If you need mhl, hell no. Otherwise it's the best phone out right now...

If you haven't got a phone yet. Then just wait and see how the nexus 6 going to be, then make a decision

Yes though it depends on budget as well I guess. Dollar for dollar I think the OnePlus is still a better buy, however if it's within budget the nexus 6 is clearly the better phone overall.
Mmm bacon

Thnk you all for reply.
I have readed a lot about OPO. I dont like N6, it is big, fat, heavy and expencive. I prefere a 5.5 inc display.
The main problem about OPO are the yellow band and touchscreen issue, that are not resolved with 38R.
I will wait till that problems will be resolved, later i will buy one.
Thank you all !

Its definitely the best smartphone for its price range right now. I have been using it over two month now and i did not have any issue.
Before i bought it, i too was worried about the yellow band problem. But until now I never get the yellow band or touch screen problem.
OnePlus One is perfectly fine and great performance. After i got this phone i immediately try antutu benchmark and suprised that it got the first ranking. That is something to brag to your friends.
As for the rom, CM11S is really stable for daily use and i did not have any problems with it. Great multitasking, smooth gaming, nice camera performance, great speaker quality and great battery life. Plus i heard that they are working to release Android L update for OPO. Cant wait for that. Even if you still want custom rom, most of them that i tried are stable for daily use.

It also depend on how long you're going to keep this phone also. I get at lease 2 phones a year. I have the oneplus one and it always seem like I go back to the Note 3.... But the nexus 6 will be a phone you can keep for another year

Ok if you have read then you also know that not everyone has these issues and the touchscreen issue was software related and those on 38r saying they still have an issue could be user error or faulty devices. Now lets be honest 1+ has sold quite a few devices and I know of at least half a dozen people with them. With that being said I am the only one with yellow banding and its barely noticeable and since the update no one has the touchscreen issue.
Why do so many allow the voices of the few decide for them. At the end of the day it is your decision and if you have done your research then YOU are making the best choice for you....

I've had the s3 and was running cm11 with oneplus mods on it and I can say it doesn't compare.
This phone is ridiculous, it amazingly fast and I have had no problems.
I ordered mine on Saturday and it came yesterday so I've only had a day with it so far but I'm so impressed, would recommend to anyone.

I had a G3, Note3, Z2 and this OPO It's the most incredible smartphone. And the feature that we can unlock bootloader and not lose the warranty is the best!

The G3 was the 16Gb (2GB ram) or 32GB (3GB ram) version?
I'm thinking of buying the oneplus 64GB or the G3 32GB, but i really can't choose which one...

Ive got the 64gb sandstone black, had it for 3 weeks now, worth every penny. At this point the company is well situated and running at full speed, buy with confidence and you will not be disappointed.

You should buy and have a try yourself. For me, this phone is better than expected.

Phone is amazing, period. Get it if you can

For sure. I've been pleased with the phone. The size is nice for me even with my small hands, the battery stands on its own, its plenty fast, many ROMs and kernels to enjoy and for the price what more can you ask for.

This phone should of been the new Nexus 6. Tons of development here
SlimKat or SlimPop

As someone who was in love with my previous phone, nexus 5. The OnePlus is the best phone at market price-wise. If it was priced in the same range as N5 or N6, I would definitely chose a N phone. Software-wise it is kinda buggy (both cm11 and cm11s) and hardware-wise (touchscreen and yellow screen)
I would wait until n6, and then make a choice, because the n6 isn't that much bigger then the OnePlusOne, but damn expensive.
I think I will sell my OnePlusOne when the n6 hit the market, cause I really miss the wireless charging.

Working to a strict budget on upgrading. Help appreciated.

Now that the N1 is 'obsolete' and ICS isn't coming I feel as though it may be time to move on.
This may take a while though as I effectively have no money and the money I get from the N1 is the majority of what I can spend.
Basically the deal is that I can get either £85 quickly from a recycle site or no more than £100-120 selling my N1 and from Ebay I have found that for this with some lucky bidding I could get a nice used LG Optimus 2X or Motorola Atrix.
Not exactly the best N1 replacements but both have Tegra 2 and are good for the money.
This will be a depressing upgrade and I'll miss this forum but its time for my N1 to go.
If anyone in the UK has any hints for getting a cheapish replacement with better hardware please tell me. The limit is £120 really, thats all I can spare.
If I don't post between now and then, goodbye and thanks everyone!
Are you completely missing the thread on ICS AOSP going on over on the dev forum? They are making huge progress. In less than a week we'll have a strong working build... don't give up on the N1 yet!
Yeah sorry I have seen that thread and yes it's brilliant but I just seriously want to move onto another phone now. I've just suffered too many problems from the N1 and being denied ICS kinda tipped me over the edge.
In all fairness though it could take some time to get a replacement this way so I will be keeping involved with that thread.
But the N1 just isn't for me anymore...
If it were me then and I wanted to upgrade within that price range, the Atrix is a good choice... However, I would rather find a Nexus S though to upgrade to ICS sooner. The devs for that phone are making huge progress and it is now fully functional. I bet you could find a good condition used NS if you're interested, but know in advance that the specs aren't really that different than the N1. Well, good luck anyway...
I am in the same boat the denial of ICS for the n1, kinda set me off, only reason I am looking for a new phone. Luckily for my n1 I can't afford a new one for a while, and texasice and many other brilliant people have been working on a good soon to be fully stable and functioning build. I haven't tried alpha 8 or 9 yet. But was quite happy with them.
Problem is, I have yet to find a phone that I can even say is remotely a good replacement. I wanted the T-Mobile G2 to be it, but it was just way to big. Love the having the keyboard though.
But I know how you feel. I don't think anyone would buy mine, it slid down a roof screen down, and scratched up, a corner of the glass is broke (in an non multi-touch functioning area).
Best of luck to you in finding a home. Hopefully someone here would love to buy it. I would for my girlfriend, as she hates her Samsung Captivate. But I don't have no money too lol.
Maybe a tip -however, above your proposed budget: I'm in the same ship, leaving my (really loved!) N1 because of lack of ICS support from Google.
Here in the Netherlands you can get Nexus S for eur 250, simlock-free; as for me, the best choice at this moment. You can order one at different sites (belsimpel.nl, phoneshop.nl, etc), eur 250 for a Google phone, getting ICS update among the first looks me a good deal/ upgrade of my loved N1.
Why not wait for a new quad core phone? No point in buying other obsolete hardware like an atrix. I personally wouldn't get anything less than a Galaxy Nexus, and even that is dual core.
Just wait for a WXGA quad core phone. Your nexus still has life in it! I just switched to MIUI and that will keep me happy until ICS gets hardware acceleration. You will regret upgrading now in a few months.

Yeah sure if you can get the OP a quad core for £120 like he said he had available. I'm in the same boat myself and the Atrix is the only dual core for that price range. Even got me thinking about it but I hate the MotoBlur crap its infected with and not removable from what I've seen although can be somewhat hidden which makes me think Nexus S maybe my best option.
At least if your gonna give advice read the OP first properly before commenting.
Have you tried comparemymobile dot com?
Before you completely give up on your N1, I suggest you give the ICS cm9 ROM a try. It made me fall in love with my n1 all over again lol. The latest update is really fluid and stable. Well that is just my opinion, wouldn't hurt to try.

if thats not enough to keep the good old n1 then go for the nexus s its pretty cheap and is getting official ics... though i personally hate plastic samsung hehe
Yeah, if you're working on a budget, there is no practical reason to upgrade from the Nexus One.
If you can get a slightly better phone, it will not be worth it. Take your current budget and keep it in a safe place for the Nexus 4 next year. Right now you won't be getting your money's worth. And the Nexus One is a great phone that will have a good ICS rom soon.
I could spend the money to upgrade to the Galaxy Nexus, it's not so much a budget problem, but a practicality problem. My phone is great, and will last me another year.

The Nexus One really is the best of what is available within our price range, I just really don't like the styling of the Nexus S and its cheap arse casing and for what I gain it is not enough to tear me away from my trackball colour notifications
So for me I'm gonna buy it a Christmas present of a brand new housing and feel happy knowing that although considered 'old' now she still has the legs to more than stand her own.
Nexus S +s:
nfc?
Google talk video/voice chat?
Short term ICS?
Still with my N1

I agree with you. My 2 year's old N1 tastes ICS (thanks to blackrose and texasice!!). A new beginning without any cost!! Don't care if google doesn't support, devs are here to do the job and it's a great job. Thanks to all of them. Just have to wait few more days (Christmas present?) to have a beta version but alpha11 is quite good!

Would One X+ be a better buy?

Now that I'm officially on the 3 week wait period, I am wondering if the HTC One X+ would be a better buy. Yes, I lose the latest version of Android for now but I'm sure HTC will upgrade it soon. What I do gain is supposedly a better camera and lots more storage. Not sure about the performance and battery life between the two. If price was not an issue, would you chose the One X+?

I've owned HTC devices, they're good but HTC will not update it soon. Maybe by next year. The camera is better and you wouldn't have to wait, otherwise I'd go with the Nexus 4.

Thanks for your response. Is the glass on the back of your phone scary? There is a thread here of someone cracking it and the verge review also mentioned the back cracking. I have had my iphone 4s slipped off my hands a few times (didn't crack though)

It's very slippery indeed. Especially if you place it down on an uneven surface. I'm definitely going to buy a coating for the back or a case.
If price wasn't an issue, I would purchase the One X+ rather than wait indefinitely for the N4.
Anyone has any performance or battery life comparisons? I understand the Nexus 4 has a more powerful CPU but from what I'm reading, it throttles down more than it should. In that case, does the One X+ end up being a better overall performer?

Scary? No. Fragile? Perhaps. But I have had quite a few phones and they all seem like that to me. I put a TPU case on it. It raises the screen off of any surface so I don't scratch it and it will protect it from a small fall.
The Battery has been ok for me. I got about 8 hours yesterday with heavy usage and I was at 41% when I crashed, so I left it on my chest of drawers and this morning it was at 39%. I thought that was cool. My Inspire would have been almost dead.
Nexus has more RAM and a much better SoC. There isn't much between the One X and the One X+, and I don't regret changing one bit.
Of you are thinking of HTC I would suggest getting an N4 users ditched one off eBay and saving a bit of cash.
No S-OFF for them, mind, which is gash.
My only concern is the fact that tegra 3 is really outdated. Regardless what benchmarks say and what not. They are outdated.
The tegra 3 is still fast and has good performance, while that's all fun and good there's still many many down sides
1. Google is moving at a fast pace, that means => more updates
2. for HTC sense that means they will have to put that into their UI - if you're aware of htc you should know by now that their sense UI framework all goes together. That means if one part doesn't work you probably won't get the rest of it to work. This means that updates generally probably take longer to integrate into sense than it does into stock android. Even galaxy s3 is a better option in my opinion, the reason i believe samsung is able to upgrade their devices faster than HTC is because their UI is NOT as complicated. IMO touchwiz is just stock with a few things refurbished.
3.LOCKED BOOTLOADER - I'll say it once and i'll say it again, flashing is easy. Very easy. However, there are MANY people who are on leaked jelly bean rom via flashing.
Where's the problem you ask? The problem is that it is only flashable to a certain number of cids. In the htc one x/jelly bean leak update case, the jelly bean rom was only flashable to european cids, this means that MANY people couldn't flash their phone despite having rooted and some even unbranded phones.
This is in my opinion very unfair of htc and a good reason to choose not to go for HTC until they sort this mess out.
4. The price of the htc one x -> 520~530 euros... No thank you, you can get an as equally good device (nexus 4) for cheaper. And even if it is not cheaper in your country and costs you 500 euros, it is still better than an outdated tegra 3 chip with slow updates.
I have the feeling google will sort out battery problems. Just give them time. Once again, that's just my opinion, but i have faith in google.
oh and #5...
Tegra 4 is probably coming out next year, which isn't too far from now, you might have to wait a few months. But before getting this outdated chip you might wanna stick to nothing or buy a nexus 4. I know i'd do that, but i want to go for google this time around because they give you the best experience in the long run.
Well, you could have one before a month so if your in a hurry its a good buy.
Other than that, I wouldn't. Primarily due to the screens HTC uses, but that is personal preference.

I was definitely going to get the One X+ until they announced the N4, which became my preference, With the delay I have looked at the HOX+ again but prefer to wait for the N4, due to price, better SOC, updates.
However if HTC were to announce a WW version of the DNA.............

I completely agree that the SoC is technically better but what's the point if thermals aren't good enough to keep it in check. The iPhone 5 with a dual core processor is performing better than the Nexus 4 which shouldn't be the case.

What's wrong with the screen of the one x? Apparently it is as good as the nexus 4 if not better. The only difference being that the one x has more contrast. The only thing i liked about the one x was its amazing screen.
You could wait for a bit and see if the DNA gets released worldwide? The Nexus 4 might be out by then so you can compare

I seriously gave this a thought and decided the phone is just way too big - I tried putting dummies on my pocket about 10x. It will fit well in your pocket (imo) but since I'm an active dude that's always on the go it's not ideal at all. I need something more mobile that can be tucked in easily. I think I'll set a 5-inch screen as my limit. Beyond that it's an overkill.
Moreso, if the N4 did not exist I would've given the Lumia 920 a try for a change.
I'd say they are on par. But only if the One X+ gets Cyanogenmod 10.
The One X has:
-a better camera
-LTE
-more storage
BUT
-1gb of RAM (WHY HTC?!... WHY?)

If they were both the same price: HTC. Seeing as the off contract price of the HTC is double that of the Nexus 4: Nexus.

Want to buy Nexus 4. Still a good device?

Hey guys,
I am thinking about getting a Nexus 4 to replace my HTC Sensation. The Sensation has many problems such as huge battery drain and it gets extremely hot during usage. So I thought the Nexus 4 would be a great idea. Pure Android (huge fan of that, was using CM for a long time on my Senny) and Google Support sound good and the price seems to be okay to (I could buy a 16GB variant for about 310€).
Is this phone great? Is it still worth buying considering it's already nearly a year old? Does it have some know problems such as huge battery drain or display problems?
I need this phone for browsing, using the calendar, writing emails/sms and sometimes taking photos. I don't play any games on it except 4 pictures 1 word.
Thanks in advance!
I too came from a Sensation, and it's a fine upgrade, for all the reasons you mention. Perhaps not as durable as HTC's build quality, so be sure to include a decent cover (I use the Diztronic TPU and it looks factory) to protect that beautiful glass. It's a joy to use..you can't go wrong. Cheers!

Honestly, if that is all you use your phone for, you should get the Lumia 1020. But if you want to stay with Android and can wait 4 more months, the 5th Nexus will be out then and should the price be as low as the Nexus4, then it would be better to get that.

The Lumia 1020 would be out of the price range. I'd never pay 400€+ for a phone I only use for work. I probably can't wait till the next release because the Senny really bugs me. I can't use a phone which burns in my hand because it's getting extremely hot while chewing through battery like nothing. My Sensation barely gets through the day with moderate use.
€: And I don't like WP because I'm a huge fan of costumization.
Keep the Sensation or whatever you have and wait for Nexus 5, trust me on this.

I can't sincerely tell someone to purchase a 7 month old device when knowing a faster device will come for the same price in due time.
Well you can go on buying Nexus 4, everything is a beauty when you compare prices and then it is a google phone so it always have it perks.
If you think you should wait for nexus 5 then its not very much pretty soon bcz this time google launched s4 and htc one as google variant which means next nexus will take time.
Your tasks which u need to perform as you have mentioned would all be performed very well.
Tip I can give even for better battery.
Unlock the bootloader, use custom recovery such as CWM and flash CM 10.1 stable releases which ever is latest.
Find franco kernel and flash that and for better colours use its colour profile.
You will have an outstanding experiance with great display and great battery time.
Best of luck.
NOTE. All decision is urs what ever suits you best.

People will and should buy the device that suits their needs and the price they are willing to pay.
If you want a unlocked / contract free phone the device is a good choice
The entire motion that a new device will be out in a couple months is pointless. He wants a phone now. A couple months is just that. A couple months living with a phone he doesn't want. Then when the next nexus device comes out there will be the next best thing on the horizon.
He a is a basic user that doesn't participate in the stupid I need the lastest and greatest hw spec race.
Sitting around waiting for 4 plus months for a device is just stupid.
Why buy a HTC one now? The plus version is coming? Why by a s4 now? The advanced or whatever version with the 800 is coming in a couple of months.

To each their own, I cannot speak for the needs of TC nor their personal interests. Whether he's comfortable with waiting X months is currently unknown and has not been divulged in this topic, so we can agree to disagree.
He said he probably can't wait for the next release because his phone bugs him.
Even a device like the HTC first would suit him fine hardware and software wise. Not unlocked and cheap of course ( don't even think it launched outside the US or unlocked) but just talking the device itself
There are plenty of users who are not concerned with the I can read the spec sheet pissing matches. Wait for the latest and greatest chip so they can have a higher score in benchmarks etc.
Its definitely still worth buying full price. Its a great device especially if you're a fan of stock android like you said.
Happy phoning.
I really don't need high specs. Benchmarks never intersted me because at the end you probably won't feel any difference between for example the snapdragon 600 and the snapdragon 800 in everyday use. I just want the phone to work well without stuttering and without any hick ups.

If you need a phone now, just go for it. If you are not in a hurry, you can wait and see what comes up. IMO I usually don't want the first batch of the phone anyway since they are usually the ones with problems.
just buy it
I highly recommend nexus 4.. Believe me it's as smooth as HTC one out even better..
Root and flash cyanogenmod and Franco kernel... That made me a delighted user from a happy user...
Besides it'll have developer support for hell lot of a time to come... Even after people forget about HTC one and s4..
:good::good:
I'm going to buy it at the end of August and I think it is still worth it. However reading this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2259334 scaried me!

Should I trade my nexus 5 for g2?

Ok I've been debating this for a while talked to a couple people and asked in the nexus 5 threads. Just so I get a complete view id like to ask here as well. I have a 16 GB white nexus 5 in prefect condition and there a 32 GB lg g2 in perfect condition on craigslist that someone wants to trade for nexus 5. The problem is it's at&t but unlocked. Does that matter? Is it exactly the same on the inside as the T-Mobile version? It seems all at&t phones are worth less for some reason. Theyre always cheaper on places like eBay and craigslist. Is there any difference besides the logo? Also what are you guy's opinions on this? I contacted the person and it seems legit and they want to meet in public place so it's safe. Also the lg g2 has bigger battery, and slightly bigger screen and size isnt too different. I'm not worried about updates because of custom ROMs and I'm sure the g2 will get KitKat and at least one more version officially.
Please give me your opinions especially people who have both devices. Oh yeah and also which feels better build and how is g2 without a case? Is it fragile? Or is it solid and can survive falls? I'll probably use a case but would like to know. Thanks and maybe I'll be seeing you guys more later on if I decide to trade

i came from a note 3 to the g2. it has been perfect in every aspect for me including size and by far the most amazing battery life i've ever gotten on any phone. I too arent worried about updates because i only use aosp custom roms. The g2 is a fingerprint magnet so im not gonna lie about that and i wont know how it'll do in a fall but it seems pretty durable and should withstand a fall lets say from 3 feet or less. You wont be dissapointed at all. Hope i answered some of your questions

Alright thanks hoping to hear from a couple others as well. Do you think aosp ROMs will be around for it up to date for at least 2 more years? (I think it will but not sure as I haven't seen how active this section is). Also do you have att or T-Mobile version or any other? And what company do you use. My dad told me using an att phone on T-Mobile makes the data not work as well but I thought they were the same phone so I don't know if that makes sense. Thanks for the answer though. If you like it better than note 3 I'm sure I'll like it.

if battery is important to you then yes. No matter what the Nexus 5 fan boy will say or do, they will not beat that extra mAH, its like saying you can swim faster than michael phelps if you keep training for the rest of your life, genetics was built into him and thats what he was born to do.

Alright thanks battery is a big part but not major. I would like a bigger battery but it's not really needed. But the bigger battery, camera, and slightly bigger screen together are convincing.
But does anyone know about the T-Mobile/at&t "issue" I described? If that's not an actual problem then I think I'll trade.
Also do you guys think this is legit? It seems a little too good doesn't it? Especially since the other phone is 32 GB while mine is 16 GB. They claim there is no issues and it's in perfect condition. Are there any specific things I should look for because they said I could try it out and make sure everything is working.

its hard to predict how the developer support will be 2 years...
when you look for newest android stay with n5.
first i think the g2 is even more value (overall it feels more like an 600€+ phone) for the dollar euro than the n5. i got mine for 379€, the N5 would be 349€ and 399€ in stores here.
i absolutly love the tiny bezel. the screen just pops right out. compared to its display size, the device is relativ small and can be operated with one hand.
yes it is an fingerprint magnet. iam thinking of getting protection just because of that fact. until now i have kept it naked and even dropped it twice. i got lucky and it didnt land on the screen. but it did skid face first on the bathroom floor: got lucky, no scrachtes.
batterylife is really, really good. i also kinda like the lg stock rom. after optimization and heavy debloating and some mods to the notification bar and other xposed goodies i can resist flashing aosp. with the samsung device it was aosp day one always.
the ois camera, 24hz 192kbits audio playback and hardwarebutton on the back sets the phone apart from other phones. knockon/off also is a really nice feature i dont want to miss ever again.
after some getting used to the camera and the ips screen (came from amoled) it is a keeper for me. at least until the end of this year:good:

Thanks a lot. Yeah android version isn't too much of an issue. As long as theres at least one ROM with latest version like pa or cm or omni or slim. Any of those are great and hopefully they will support for a long time.
Now if anyone knows anything about at/tmobile "issues" I mentioned please tell me. Sorry for asking so much but that's really the main thing holding me back so far.
Sent from my white LG Nexus 5
If what I was saying didn't make sense about the issues I meant data compatibility. This explains it a little better. That's what I'm worried about because I use lycamobile which runs on T-Mobile towers. So will this issue be there if I get the at&t lg g2? https://t-mobile.jive-mobile.com/#jive-discussion?content=/api/core/v2/discussions/37961

Sorry for so many questions but also do any of the ROMs work on any phone version as long as the same radio? Like will all gsm ROMs work on all gsm phones so T-Mobile and att roms all work changeably?

Ok I got this one answered by looking in development thread and noticing that most ROMs show d800/801/etc so most support all versions
Now last question is the compatibility for data
Sent from my white LG Nexus 5
Can't speak on the rom/flashing aspect since I don't care about that stuff anymore...And while I do miss the build of the N5 (I dunno it just feels nice to hold) the G2 is soooo much better in obvious ways such as display and battery life. Battery life alone is the greatest reason to switch and was the reason I did so. There are also other reasons for the switch that you can read about or you may already know about...The built in remote control is nice to have and can help alleviate boredom if you're somewhere else
Ok thanks. I know the g2 is better in most ways but soft ware. The thing I need confirmation on is if anyone using an unlocked att d801 g2 with other companies like tmobile has data fully working. I heard it has issues sometimes. Or does it work alright as long as apns are correct?

Thanks I think I'm going to. I might trade but there's lots of brand new ones for 300-350. Where did you sell yours? Mine is in perfect condition because of the case and screen protector since first day and I'll be seelling those with it so I'd hope to get at least 350 (I have the 16 GB)

i sold mine on craigslist, here in the Seattle area, i had the 32gb model.
OK I've been convinced that I really want a g2 (maybe not right now). But I don't want to trade it. My nexus 5 is pretty amazing so I don't want to trade for a used phone. But if I can sell it for enough to buy a new g2 I'm going to. I'll have to tell the guy that I'm not going to trade. I feel kind of bad because he was pretty nice and waited for me to decide. But the phone doesn't come with all original stuff and I don't really feel confident in a phone used by someone else no matter how well I test it. I got the nexus 5 brand new and after a small RMA annoyance I got a fully working perfect one. So if I have a chance to get a new one I'll hopefully get it.

I was searching eBay for lg g2s to see what a good price to sell my nexus 5 is if I want to get one. I noticed sprint versions were cheaper even unlocked. Would unlocked sprint work with T-Mobile?

Will you stay with OPO?

With the release of the One plus 2 being anounced , it had me thinking if I would get one or not. I have/am been very happy with my OPO. I didn't have any yellowish banding or touch screen issues though that have been reported.
So.. If One plus offers the phone up for the same price as they did the ONE will you stay with OPO or jump off the wagon?
If their next device is 1. Solid Quality/Materials, 2. Cutting Edge at release/announce, 3. Sub 400 again. I'll get the next one.
I was backpacking when I got the call (invite) last august. Although their software leaves a bit to be desired, I'm running CM12 nightlies now and it's great.
I'll wait to see how well it's supported by CM nightlies. Since it won't have official CyanogenMod support and OnePlus hasn't proven its ability to make a decent stock ROM with its own resources, the 2 looks set to have great hardware & looks at a decent price but poor overall user experience.
It will come down to price for me. I was waiting for the news on the nexus 6 and was took back by the price and than came the oneplus! I will jump on OP2 if they offer solid specs at that price again. ROMs can be flashed..
Not a chance. I will gladly pay more for a well built, supported device.
I think that the One is a very good device. It's well supported by the community, we have some of the best kernel mantener. Also the device works nice, great battery, good camera, nice screen, and so..
I had nexus 4,g2 and g3 before this and I like the One more than this devices. Smoothness is better than nexus, battery is best than g2 and camera is at least on par with g3.The only thing I regret is that is huge compared to nexus 4. But we have to pay this for enjoying a 5.5" screen..
Definitely I would take mine for a year or so.

I update my devices every 2 years, so if the follow-on to the OPO is out, of acceptable quality and customizable via CM then more than likely I will.
Possible. But probably not. I've been contemplating going back to my Nexus 5 for a little while now purely due to software.

I tried that once, and shortly after that sold my N5. The OnePlus One has too many pluses over the N5 for me.
I love my One!!! It's a great device for little money. If the Oneplus Two comes with the same price I will buy it!

What he said....
Great phone but no support. Good luck if you have a problem (we are still fighting with customer service because 1 out of the 4 devices is defective)
+20% score in a few benchmarks are nothing when you're living a busy life, no way.
I like my OnePlus One. No problems. Great user community, that provides amazing support. So far so good.
If OP 2 comes only with Color OS or the OP OS, I'd say no. If it has factory installed CM (unlikely), it's a huge probably. Of course, we'll need to see what the phone actually will be first...and price. I have a feeling it will launch with Color OS or the OP OS which will make it a no. In that case, I'll be looking at the Oppo Find 9 and wait for CM or Liquid Smooth support before buying.
Nah, piss effect on bottom of the display was way annoying for my taste. I gave it to my wife she is the one of many that don't notice this. I got myself LG G2 I'm cool with it
OPT...I don't think so...
For me it's all about community support. I've always flashed AOSP based roms, mostly CM, due to the fact that all phones come with too much bloatware. I like having control of my device and if there's a new version of Android, I want to try it. I needed to get a new phone for work (read: inexpensive), and was thinking about the P7. Since there are no custom roms for it, I went for the OPO. I hope the conflict between CM and India doesn't lead to an abandonment of the OPO and that the xda devs keep working on it for a long time. I have a galaxy tab 10.1, which in hardware terms is pretty ancient, but thanks to xda, it's running Lollipop and frankly ... it's never run better. I love my OPO. The design is beautiful, I have no issues with the screen or any other things so it's great.
sure I will! looking forward to the 1+2
