I'm planning to buy a good smartphone...but I'm in a predicament..
i live in India and according to the review ,the nexus 4 is pretty good phone but the problem is you guessed it's god damn India... Google and LG are taking their own sweet time to bring it to India. Rumors are that it may be released in Jan at mind boggling 32 or even exorbitant 36k ..so my question which is the best available alternative to nexus 4?
Is one x a good alternative?
or is nexus 4 worth the wait for Indian shores(Bangalore customers)
or any good alternative within the range of 28-29k ( in India)?
thank you
For ease, 5k rupees is about 100 bucks approximately. I think best solution might be to have someone you might know in the us bring it over.

Depends on your priorities.
If having a high end android that performs most tasks well is all you care about then go for an s3 or one x.
If having a nexus device, with its updates and ROM development is important then get the n4.
The best option is getting someone to bring it from the US or other countries. The price difference is worth the lack of warranty in my opinion.

My opinion
I am also in the same situation
Lg can become a top player in Indian Market if it set the prices of Nexus 4 16 GB between 24k to 27 K and 8 Gb for 22k to 24k
I would say if it is going to launch above 28K for 16 GB model then i am not buying it as i will be stuck with 16 GB .
I would have bought it for 30 K also had it supported USB OTG .
So i would request Lg to price the phone intelligently as it will help them in the long run.
Lg Nexus 4 is worth the wait only if it is priced correctly
If you would buy a phone today would you go for G2 at 350 euro or go for G3 at 550 euro?
Personally i want a confirmation to buy the G2 and that is still a great device that will serve well in the next 2 years.
thanks

G2 is awesome but if you want something to last 2 more years and can afford it Buy the 32 gb 3 gb ram version of the g3. the 16 gb 2 gb ram version isn't worth it. But the g2 is great and should least you 2 years easy. I live mine and the only reason i want to switch it is because im addicted to changing my phone every couple months. But I'll probably keep this for a while longer. Plus there's plenty of great devs for the g2 especially if you have the international version

Hello XDA,
I'm looking for a new phone, even if my Galaxy Note 3 is still working it's a bit old and used.
I'm watching a lot of thread, tests etc... And I think 700 € for a phone (750$) is really too much!
What could you tell me about new or old phones that can suits me? I need :
- good sound for music (earplugs)
- not less powerful than the Note 3
- not bigger than 5.5 inchs
- Full HD
- less than 400 € more or less
- micro sd!
Thanks a lot,
Regards,

Look at the new Alcatel 4?
There are so many options.
LG G4
LG G3
LG G2
Nexus 5
Xperia Z2 or 3
Galaxy S5
Galaxy Note 4.
All can be bought for much less than £300 (about $400), on eBay. I doubt you'd be disappointed with any of them.
In terms of value the Note 4, G4 and S5 are more comparable
The G3 and Xperias are also in roughly the same bracket.
The Nexus 5 and G2 also cost roughly the same too.
It depends on how far under $400 you want to be. All of the phones have at least a Snapdragon 800 or equiv.
Thanks for answers but I'm afraid of LG G4 battery :/ even if it's really interesting

Forget everything you have read here and go to microcenter and buy asus zenfone 2 . My cousin bought it and asked me to help him a bit with rooting and so , and I messed with the phone for a while and I like it A LOT . And it cost 279$ . I have note 3 . I know you asked for better phone , there is not many Better than note 3 , but they are more than 400$ .
If you get this one I am sure you will be very Happy . If you are in USA go to :
http://www.microcenter.com/product/456240/ZenFone_2_ZE551ML_64GB_Unlocked_-_Black
If not USA than find your local Amazon and buy it from there .
Only thing I did not like about this phone is that my cousin took it with him . (^-^)
By the way Microcenter's deal is better than amazon.com.

Good call. If you're outside of the Microcenter states, go Amazon and for $20 more you can pick on up, 64GB with US warranty. :good: If I had the money and dire need to replace my Note 3, then I'd go with this phone as well.
Otherwise, I'll stick to the $500+ phone investments as an upgrade to the Note 3.
Nah.
The Note 3 is a great phone. If it's not doing everything you want it to, try a different firmware. Don't buy into the manufacturer hype about buying a new phone every couple of years.
My opinion? The Asus Zenfone 2 is almost so good as the Galaxy S6 ?, with a low price... but the Asus smartphones don't have the same huge amount of custom roms as the Note 3.
If you want more options for cheaper smartphones, reply.
*Also consider Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P features (not so cheap, but you'll not have to change your device for the next 2 years)

iPhone 7 + $50 for the S8 seems fair to me given that the retailers are offering $300 off towards the S8 when trading in an iPhone 7.
my advice though is to buy the S8 from best buy (if you are in the US) to get their $350/off promo, then sell your iPhone 7 on swappa for $350. That should cover the cost for getting your new phone.
Is this device the HTC u ultra rootable? I have been thinking about buying one of the devices unlocked to use on my T-Mobile network for a few months because I just recently lost my Samsung s 9 plus and I'm not available for a complete upgrade until July when I can then get a s10 plus. Send the HTC U Ultra is only $200 and I have 64 internal memory and looks nice these are screen size at that would be good enough to get me by a couple months. What is anybody think about about this thanks in advance!!!
