I think you missed the point of this post. They're giving the promotion after the date of release. I know I jumped on the preorder so I can get the 200$ deal . But now it's valid for a while in store or online after release date

I would just go to a Verizon retail store and trade in the junker and ask for a receipt of the trade in .I did mine a day after I preordered it. Samsung did the step by step instructions on the website .

I would check the trade in estimator on the verizon website and pick any phone and see whats the value verizon will give you. This is the link https://www.trade-in.vzw.com/ . Compare the phones estimates with the ones on ebays. Good Luck.
You can not fill in the rebate until you have the new phone. It is asking for the HEX and WIFI MAC address to complete the rebate.

I'm using the best buy $200 gift card promo which doesn't require a $10 minimum. (and even if it does they value the droid x2 trade in @ $15) price wise to get a phone with a $10 trade in value thru verizon I think your best bet would be a droid RAZR.

I ordered mine through Amazon for 1 cent with free 2 day shipping with a new contract. No taxes on the value of the phone and its 1 cent out the door. It may be free at Best Buy but be prepared to pay sales tax on 699.99 (their regular price wtf?). Thats $57.74 where I live (OC at 8.25% sales tax). Best Buy is not good for new contracts but good if you are renewing your contract because Amazon charges 99.99 for renewals. It is still free for renewing your contract at Best Buy.

I got mine 2 days ago for free at best buy. Sprint model. I live a hour and a half away from the closest best buy, so I called to see how much it was. The lady that answered said free. Well I drive up there and its $99 with upgrade. So I told the manager what happened and he gave it to me for free.

No you can get one under your name. You keep the iPhone you have. I got the Nexsus S on Saturday and will be going tomorrow to get my $99 back. It is actually cheaper to get on contract and cancel later as you will only have paid around $340 vs $529 buy out right without contract at Best Buy.

Wirefly is trustworthy, just make sure to not cancel or change anything on your plan on the phone for 181 days or there's like a $350 penalty from Wirefly.

Just ordered mine from newegg for 149 so we'll see what happens.

The HTC One isn't even on HTCdev.com for unlocking. I would imagine it'll be a little while after it's released to get it on there and unlocked.

AT&T is usually 100 cheaper or more for off contract. Best buy wants contract only sales so they jack up the off contract price.

I pre-ordered a silver 32gb AT&T model at Best Buy this evening. I was planning on getting the black, but the more I thought about it, I kind of like the silver. I've always had black so maybe time for a change, and maybe I'm a bit impatient. The girl who rang me up told me it would be there on the 19th, but we'll see. That preorder $50 is different than I was talking about. They make you buy a $50 gift card and they link it to your preorder, that holds your phone. When you go in to actually pick up the phone, bring that gift card with you and it can be put towards the phone, or if you don't you're left with a $50 Best Buy gift card. The $50 I was talking about is a promotion that already ended, but if you registered already, that's another $50 gift card you'll get when you purchase the phone, however you don't have to pay for the second one. $299 is better than $349. For some reason my shipping, even one day shipping chosen, is on Monday September 20 instead of friday the 17th through amazon as well. But for $50 I can wait a weekend. Add in the Samsung $200 promotion on my Note 2 and you get the phone for $99.00. You can't beat that.

Amazon releases the phone on the 17th...and I guess it doesn't deliver ok Saturday or Sunday... But lately amazon/UPS has been using USPS to deliver stuff on Sat/Sun so you never know..

17th, 18th, 21st, honestly those few more hours or days are meaningless. If it is worth $50 to some to get it on the 17th for sure, god bless them. I am fine either way, even though I plucked down the extra $3.99 for one day shipping. I may change even that. To each their own though. I bought the Note 4 for a myriad of reasons, but the main one that I am looking forward to is the VR headset by Oculus/Samsung which uses the Note 4 as its brains and screen. THAT is the real game changer among the new cell phones this year. There is not nearly enough attention to how big that will be. And that doesn't come out until November sometime. So I am fine with my Note 2 a few extra days.
My Note II + $398 = Note 4 + Samsung Gear VR.

Ok... Pre-ordered. BB will give me the $200 for my ancient LG Optimus (heh heh). Here's my gripe... I was told I would have to pay the tax on the full price... $799 =$80... Arrgh. Total out of pocket = $164.

It really depends on the state / tax jurisdiction you live in. California, for example, requires retailers to charge the sales tax on the full retail price prior to discounts / subsidies. Other states may only require tax on the final amount paid to the customer.
The price of the Galaxy Note 4 has been reduced online to $299, from $349.
I had already pre-ordered at $349. I called about a refund of the $49, and I was told to call back when I received the device, and I would be given a $50 credit on my account at that time.

I called order processing and asked for the $50 dollar refund on Saturday. The girl put me on hold for a while and then came back and said she would apply the $50 to my account. A half hour later I got a text saying the refund had been applied, checked and it was there. I am on SERO I don't if this made the difference.

Something strange is happening to me on sprint.com. I try to do a pre-order, getting to the last part where I would charge my CC. but my total is $300 with only .65 cents in taxes. I'm in California and it should be $64. I already have an in-store pre-order and traded it my device in, but I am now pulling my hair why at sprint.com i'm not getting charge taxes.... 2yr renewal price!

Best buy has there own trade in program, it's different from the Samsung promo. You get a 200$ bb gift card for any working smart phone, and they say *any* smart phone, no 10$ minimum like Samsung promo. My friend is turning in an old Treo.
Also the Samsung promo will not be honored if note 4 purchased at best buy.

The price of the Galaxy Note 4 has been reduced online to $299, from $349.
I had already pre-ordered at $349. I called about a refund of the $49, and I was told to call back when I received the device, and I would be given a $50 credit on my account at that time.

I'd call them back. They issued me a credit immediately.

That's freakin sweet. Only having to pay $100+ taxes, and hand in my eVo 4g lte, that's awesome. This phone has about had it, just 7 more days.
