[REQUEST] Allow New Rom Announcement in DEV for 24 hrs.

Hi All,
Mods, Please allow new ROM release announcements here. Many people who browse ONLY dev will never know that a ROM has been released. I know its not a thread to be posted here but your Sticky about 'Stock ROMs to go into general' is closed & hence I can't post there.
Allow 24 hrs & THEN put them in General.
Thanks.
That's what General is for Announcements, News, Facts, Discussions, Statements... anything Non Question
All questions goes to Q&A, unless it's about Accessories or Apps/Games
if a new topic is indeed about Development, we'll be happy to move it into DEV
just hit the report button, and let us know which topic you want to move into DEV
if it meets all the DEV criteria it'll be moved into DEV
just a FYI, it has not been announced yet, but soon we'll have even more strict rules for the DEV section...
after the new changes only people (DEVs) in the allowed list can create a new topic inside the DEV area
I still feel that this thread should remain in dev for 24 hours. THANKS.
Thanks anyway.

Click to collapse
And who determine who the devs are, and what's the criteria?
Don't mean to question the decision made by the mods and admins, but would be great to know...
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
the official announcement came out
http://www.xda-developers.com/announcements/the-state-of-the-site/
This is great news.
Is there any change to the dev group? Like splitting it up on more categorys?
do you send out this form to us developer or how do we sign up?
Sorry to rob the tread;-)

HTCDev - open for public

Dev's and users.. For sure many of you have already checked it, but for those who may find it useful, here is the newly created HTC web page for Developers and Resources.
http://www.htcdev.com/
The purpose is to share a resource, not to talk about development, since i'm no developer. In some time i'll close the thread, since it will serve its purpose.
Greetings
Open Bootloader
The Open Bootloader for HTC devices (EVO 3G and newer) will be available soon, it is still under developing by the company. So, don't rush about it yet
PS I just saw that there is another thread with the same purpose.. If it is enough info, i will ask the MOD to close this one tomorrow..
Thanks..
There's a thread for this already, just a couple of rows beneath yours. Might be worth to have a look what's already posted before starting a new thread. Here's the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1208674

[NEW!] Sony Tablet Z Competition Voting Now Open!

The wait is over!
You may recall that XDA announced a development competition for the Sony Tablet Z, in association with Sony. The tablets were sent out, the developers have been working, and now it's time for the voting!
Here's how it works - I've put together a list of all the projects that are part of the contest. I'll give the link to this list in a second. You should read through all the projects (yes, it will take a few minutes, but please do take the time to read through it). Once you have read about all the projects, you will have the link to use to carry out the voting.
The information to vote is not posted here. That information is available within the thread of information about the projects. If you can't find it, you've not read about all the projects. Do not ask people for the link, and do not send them it once you have found it out - this is to make sure that everyone voting has read the information necessary. Don't bother trying to cheat, just read about the projects and you'll see how to vote.
Who is eligible to vote?
Anyone who was registered on XDA-Developers before 9 AM (GMT) on the 26th July 2013, and who is not a member of XDA staff. One vote per person. Any accounts created after 26th July will have their votes discounted - votes will be checked. This date and time was selected as shortly before information on the voting process was made available to competition entrants. Voting closes on Wednesday 8th August, at 19:30 GMT
Ready to look at the entrants?
Head on over to the thread about the competition entries! The information on how to vote is contained within the thread.
Theres no mention of the NEX camera, at least that I saw, anywhere in the recent posts.
He just stole a tab just like that
