Hi,
Is it possible to add applications on the side bar as per your choices in note 3?
Thanks.
I don't think its possible.. Only compatible apps would be listed and could be added..

Actually you can, there's an app MW Enabler that can modify the app so it supports multiwindow and then it shows up in the "Sidebar".
The app works like this :
1 - start the app
2 - select the application you want to modify to support MultiWindow or SPen Window
3 - select what you want to enable (the checkboxes)
4 - press the "Process button"
5 - press the "Uninstall" to remove the original app and "Install" to install the modified version
6 - test your app to see if it works correctly
Note : you might need to restart the phone before the app actually shows up in the MultiWindow/SPen Window list
Note : that not all apps like running in multiwindow mode, some display in weird way, others simply crash. For those just uninstall them and reinstall from the Play Store.
Some custom ROMs also have support to add any app to the multiwindow sidebar (or add all the apps to that list).
P.S. i'm not the developer of the app, i'm only trying to help fellow Note users.

There are some nice enough developers to include a option to hide an icon from a Live Wallpaper settings. But that's only with about 20% of them. The rest are just creating a mess there. I have a lot of these Live Wallpapers, I often like to change the looks of my home screen.
It has become really hard to find apps, well you either have to slowly browse through them all to find what you have installed, or remember the names of the apps. I think Google should give users an option to hide and manage hidden apps. Or is there already a way? (without rooting)
You can hide apps by going to settings, apps and selecting the app you desire and press disable. Those that are disabled won't appear on your app menu. This feature is on stock ROM or not.

I'm on android 4.4.2 and there is no such option. And wouldn't that disable the app altogether from usage?
like the option note 3 have its alot more easy and fast to use but i dont see the option in S5
is there a option in setting or a mod for it ?
There is. Click on the app drawer setttings icon. Then choose view as > alphabetical.
.
I don't mean alphabetical order but a list like this
http://cdn.cultofandroid.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/applistview.jpg
the note 3 had that
Nope. It wasn't clear what you were looking for.
You are seeking an alphabetical list instead of an alphabetical grid view. And AFAIK, Samsung got rid of the list view on the S5 as it wasn't as popular as the grid view. If the minor stylistic difference is important to you, look for a Note 3 launcher port or possibly a play store app to do that.
It can be re enabled again. Is an option available in Alliance Rom
Hi, I am wondering if there is a way to keep the Multiwindow function on but hide the little tab that overlays on every screen. I know I can enable/disable miltiwindow in the notification toggles, but I would rather have it hidden and turned on. I have the Note 10.1 2014 and I much prefer the way they did that multiwindow where a swipe from the right opens it up and there is no tab overlay. Any apps/mods that will do this?
Also, is there a way to easily add all of my apps to the multiwindow list? I have MW apps manager but I still have to manually add each app to the list that is available, and I can not sort the apps by name which makes it a huge pain to find the app I want quickly. Thanks.

Hold down the back button to hide it, again to show it.
Search play store for multi window manager.

I have the t-mobile note 4 rooted, xposed and wanam installed. I used wanam to add more apps to multiwindow. When I bring up the flash bar, I go to edit and I see all the apps that I added. Here is where I have the problem, when I press and drag the app to the side bar, a different app gets added. For example, I add drag bank of America app and contacts app gets added. I remember having the same problem with the note 3 and wanam was the solution.
Any ideas?
some ported Note 7 rom have options to swipe on icons to disable or uninstall them. Could you please tell me what it is called ? just like the force touch of iphone. Note: it's present in stock rom of modded note 7 for note 4 and not some launcher function like nova etc.
