[Q] Anyone waiting/received their Droid X in August?

Hi guys,
Long time lurker here. I order the DX online on 8/10 and I'm still waiting. The VZW Web says Shipping 8/31, and I noticed someone else ordered theirs on 8/9 and received it this week even though the shipping date was 8/25 then.
I'm just wondering if there is anyone else in the same boat as me or if they were one of the lucky ones to get theirs recently.

What I was told by the Rep is they get sent out in the order purchased but the backorder date is the latest it should ship out.

I ordered mine on july 31st and they told me i would have it by the 24th. Much to my suprise it was on my door on the 11th! Hope you have the same luck, you will not be disappointed.

I ordered mine in store on 8/15. Had a shipping notice in my inbox late that night and received 8/17. The salesperson in the store and the website that day put the ship date towards the end of the month. I was plesantly suprised! Hope you get yours soon. I love it! I have been a WinMo user since 2000! and decided to jump ship and loving it.

Im not even gonna tell you how jealous I am. lol I ordered mine on the same as day you, over the phone. The rep told me that phone should be shipped out by the 31st, but I am hoping & praying I will receive it b4 then.

Ordered on the 12th... still unpatiently waiting...

This wait is murdering me. I've already written off my current phone(storm 2). I now treat it like a step child.

Killing me.
Bought two via local brick and mortar store on the 11th... Nothing yet (no email from FedEx). The date I was given was the 25th. Good to know others are getting theirs, hopefully won't be long!
*Edit: Just to confirm, I was told I'd get tracking info via email from FedEx when it ships out... Did those of you that received yours get emails first? or did it just show up?

I received an email from Verizon with tracking info. I also receive an email when my bill is ready to pay. My wife didnt give VZW an email so she did not get notified.

I ordered mine on 8/13 and no word yet. I have fully resigned myself to wait to the first, but it'd be a very welcomed surprise to get it early.

i ordered mine on 8/16. No love yet- of course. I am keeping my eye out for fed-ex and on this thread to see when you all start getting yours.

I ordered mine on a Wednesday after work, and I would have had it the following Wednesday if I had been home to sign for it from Fedex...so the "two week wait period" is a little off, they're probably saying that just in case it takes a little longer than a week.

Delivery Date altered / Mobile Phones Direct

Mine is pre-ordered with these guys, however, they've told me T-Mobile wont run a credit check until its out, so I wait anxiously to see if I can even have one.
Just looked on the site and now its says," delivery in 8 working days". Which brings us into the week after next.
Whats taking so long for companies to release this bad boy?
It's really annoying because they were quick enough to snap the £44 quid out my account.
For those who have pre-ordered, are you still expecting yours Friday / into next week ?

Last I spoke to them on the phone they said that HTC confirmed that they would he getting a batch of them this week BY the 29th at the latest(into their warehouse) for delivery beginning of April ie your 8 days. If they get them in earlier they will ship them earlier. I noticed that the date had changed as well so will be calling.them again tomorrow to see what's happening. Been waiting since 02.03.13 so eager to get my hands on it. I will update you tomorrow when I speak to them.

Affordable Mobiles Orders

Thought to start a thread for those of us that have ordered from their website.
I ordered a Black One last week via uSwitch. The £30 upfront fee has been deducted(not sure if they deduct straight away when ordering) on 02.04 and T-Mo have done their in and out of £2. When I called yesterday I was told that they will send an email before they ship, which I am still waiting for. They also said that they were expecting stock in yesterday, but I assume that was BS as their facebook page is saying next week in many instances.

I've spoken to them twice today and in the morning I was told stock will be in either today or tomorrow and in the afternoon they told me that they've received an email from HTC saying the delivery has been delayed till next week and they're looking at Tuesday (9th) or Wednesday (10th) for posting the handsets at the earliest.
Called tmobile direct to see if they can match the pricing but won't budge from £26pm for the tariff and £170 for the handset up front which is ridiculous.
Will just have to sit back and wait now.

That really sucks. Will just have to be patient I suppose. Not too worried about waiting another week I suppose it will arrive One day

Ordered on 23rd March, they informed me that they would have a stock update today (6th). Got shipping email last night for 24 hr delivery, so should be here today!! Can't wait!

Ordered my black One Thursday night 10pm. Friday 5th they received silver but no black. Apparently they are getting both in on Monday 8th.
My case had came, just no phone yet. They said I am getting the media link so all is well.
T-Mobile £26 a month. £30 upfront for the phone, except I got £40 cash back which has already been confirmed .

Ordered my black One Tuesday afternoon while they were stating in stock but allow 24 to 48 hours for delivery.
Nothing yet.
Am hoping they come in early next week so I don't have to make arrangements to be home!
Have been tempted to get a silver One from a Three store but have resisted!
£34 for the One Plan, clearly designed with The One in mind, hah, and £40 Quidco and the media link!

Just rang them up. They have only received the silver One's today and apparently they have a lot more orders for the silver than the black. They should be receiving the Black One's tomorrow it Wednesday. Just hope they have enough stock to ship my order.

Spoke to a woman today told her i have been on pre-order for the black one since the begining of march she told me i should recieve mine monday or tuesday next week as they ate still back order till the end if this week.

Did you email them to confirm you would receive one? I made a point of doing this so that if they do not send me one I can ring and abuse them.

Well I took the plunge and signed up to the £26 T-Mobile deal and 29.99 upfront because it seemed such a good deal! Not to mention the HTC media thing (if I get one!)
Got all the way to the end and it said I'd been referred and the number on the refer page didn't ring / nobody answered. Then got 2 missed calls from a T-Mobile 0845 number and haven't heard anything since! No emails either.
Emailed the [email protected] address and had a standard email saying about credit checks might delay orders and rang t-mobile and they have no record of anything so I'm in limbo-land! I guess I got somewhere because I had the 2 missed calls but not had anything since!
Here's hoping that everything goes through and there's little delay!

Ordered my silver one on the 28th and it arrived this morning with no sign of any media link. Spoke to them via Facebook and they said they had run out of media links as they were limited. However, I have read they others have received this that ordered after me, so not a happy bunny as you can imagine.

They had better have one for me. I called specifically to confirm that I would be getting one as it did not show when i pre-ordered and they said that I would be. I cancelled my 02.03.13 order on MPD because this was marginally cheaper AND they were giving the Media Link free. If I dont get it I will be p....ed, and they will hear all about it.

I called Buy Mobile Phones today to ask if it were likely that I'd receive a black One sooner if I were to order with them now rather than keep my order with Affordable Mobiles.
He said that they both share the same stock pool, which is interesting as both companies have different addresses, though both are A1 Comms. I asked if they had ever received black handsets, to which he replied that they had, but they were sent back due to a quality issue.
The main reason I called is that BMP have a customer area and they answer the phone a lot quicker than AM! I don't know if BMP have priority though, being the parent company.
I read on Facebook that Mobile Phones Direct are emailing all waiting customers daily, no matter how small the news. Goes a long way though!

Affordable Mobiles nightmare
I avoided Affordable Mobiles this year after an horrendous episode with them last year. Basically even after confirming my cancellation for a One X, they went ahead and allowed a contract with three to complete, it took me weeks to get things sorted and never received any sort of apology. I've always got phones online through these type of resellers but this year I went straight into one of my local three stores, ten minutes later walked out with a new HTC One Silver.
The reason I did this was after googling how to dismantle the htc one, I learned that it's virtually impossible to repair the phone screen. I can only imagine the trouble I would have with the likes of Affordable Mobiles in trying to get a repair. Was assured by three that the phone would not be sent away if repair was needed but would be replaced. That sealed the deal for me.
Had mine 10 days now and it's awesome. I would advise avoiding the double dip official flip case, it's awful.
I hope you all enjoy your new phones when they arrive

UK orders delayed?

I pre ordered my G2 about a month ago and rang Car phone warehouse to confirm my delivery for tomorrow which they did state at the time of ordering that i would receive the phone on the 1st October. The lady dealing with me put me on hold and came back a few minutes later and told me that no stock had been received and it will be a few weeks before they start to ship them out.
Has anyone else pre ordered and found out that the phone has been delayed?

all over the Netherlands thats the case. I got mine by sheer luck. Was searching all merchants and found one awesome one that had it in stock. maybe with luck you can do the same.

I was looking for the Z1 last Friday in the Netherlands, at the mediamarkt They didn't have any, however by surprise, the lg g2 was already available and in stock.by the looks of the device and the fact the screen is superb I immediately got one on contract. They only had 2 though, so i guess there isn't a lot in stock, since the major Dutch providers, and phonestores don't present it as in stock. Lg Netherlands however posted a tweet that both the 16 and the 32 gb version should be available this week.

I got my one ordered back home (Dubai) for £300. Brand new with QuickWindow case. I cannot wait to put my O2 sim card in it. Just waiting for it to arrive here. I have a feeling it will be here in Nov tho . That is too long to wait
Edit - We have been delayed as I was going to buy it from Expansys and their ETA was 1 day and now its 6 days

i also preordered with the carphone warhouse...i spoke to them this afternoon also and was told that they have them in the warehouse now. Around 3,000 handsets and that the couldnt access them on the system but was told they will be packaged up and sent over the course of this evening. Should get a dispatch email.text early tomo morning!? they said worst case i should get it wednesday.
Lets see i really hope they do start shipping them out for delivery tomo!

Its amazing how one person can tell you one thing and the next another lol She even tried to encourage me to cancel my order. She went away to ask a manger and she even raised a ticket to "higher up" to see why they advertised the phone for the 1st October when they knew they wouldn't be available,Id be amazed if i had a delivery email from them this week and i know this has happened before with them on the HTC One! Fingers crossed

For some reason LG don't treat the UK market with Respect on most of there items. I bought a LG smart tv and i had to wait nearly 2 month for them to ship me a magic remote. Yeah i saw the delay with Expansys and clove today

I'm in Australia and have had one on preorder from an aussie supplier here for about a week. I just got the despatch email this morning saying it was on it's way ..... from Hong Kong!!!
Maybe they are delays getting them shipped out in large volumes overseas?

Just spoke to carphone warehouse and they now have it in stock! being shipped for delivery tomo! although without the free printer and case as this is not in stock yet and i would have to wait for that to come in stock before they could send the phone! seems like a convenient way of delaying the order.

Just cancelled my order with cpw as I was told again this morning they won't have any stock till next week ?
Just popped down to my local three store that have them instock and bought myself one.
I won't be using CPW anytime soon !

Just ordered one on the clove website. £455 (great price) and the window case comes free with it so I couldnt resist and I need a replacment for my 5S has its going back soon.

T-Mobile note 3 release date?

I thought t h e release date for T-Mobile was 10/02. I asked a T-Mobile corporate store about them getting it in tomorrow and was told the release date is 10/04. He said the reports gave the wrong date. Anyone else heard of this?

No, it's still 10/2.
Sadly, some of the reps are just plain clueless. I actually had one rep say to me: "Well, I heard that at&t are getting it in on the 4th... so we might have it that day also, or sometime next week maybe?"

I called 2 stores 1 told me the 4th and the other the 2nd. I asked the one that told me the 2nd if they had them in stock and he said yes but couldn't sell them before the 2nd.

Just got an e-mail from a t-mobile store rep. They'll have a good number of phones tomorrow - color availability was not specified. Also, my order shipped today

Yeah, the franchise stores/kiosks seem to be the most uninformed. Stopped by a T-Mob kiosk at the mall on Monday, guy told me they had the Note 3, but could not sell until the 2nd. Went back to same kiosk on Tuesday night to see if I could possibly get it early - a different rep tells me they don't have it and it's not coming out until the 3rd. What?! Lol... one of the biggest phones of the year and no one knows anything.
BTW, it is indeed the 2nd

Pre-orders shipped Sept 30. Got mine yesterday (Oct. 1). General availability is today (Oct. 2).

I pre-ordered on the 18th that went to back ordered. Today my order says shipped and I have a tracking number.

Today was the day. I just picked mine up a few hours ago. Now I'm debating if I want to root or not. Not sure if I would use knox.
