I have bought Spice android one device and it works fine.. The only problem i am facing is that i can't find an option to disable sim one or sim two anywhere.. There are settings to select default sim card but no option to disable one and keep one active.. At first i thought that this is some problem with kitkat but in my friend's moto g there is the dual sim setting option.. so how can i disable one sim card in my phone???? there has to be a way....
i got the exact same issue, downloaded an app MTK Control, but that too doesn't work.

I bought a Magic Sim Elite for my Samsung Note 3. I have two sims that are on the Bell network. My phone is unlocked. When I insert the Magic Sim I can see the app Dual Sim which does not seem to work and at the top of the screen I get an icon which is a circle with a line through it. This icon is for no network found I believe. I try to make a phone call but is says no network found. If I open the app I can see sim 1 and sim2. There is a star beside sim 1. If anyone has any information on this or can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
Hi Guys,
A new guy here. As per subject, I have a hybrid dual sim version of the S7 Edge.
In the SIM card manager you can select a "preferred" SIM card for voice/text/data calls, or set the phone to "always ask".
As I'm using a 2nd SIM card to call only 3 of my 500+ contacts I'd like to have the SIM 1 as preferred for everything, but somehow assign those 3 numbers to the 2nd SIM, so when I make a call it ALWAYS calls from SIM 2.
Is that possible?
Kind regards
Paul
Anyone..? I'm having same trouble...
Bump..
I've not seen a method to do this on the S5/6/7 Dual sim phones

Click to collapse
Thanks for your reply.. That means this functionality is removed S4 onwards.. [emoji19]
I am using two sims in india SIM1-> airtel(2G mode) and SIM2->Jio ( LTE mode).
This message pops up frequently at the bottom of screen.
Any one aware of how to fix it ?
I am also facing the same problem in S7 Edge. If you are able to find a solution please share it.
jio sim seems to be the culprit kick it out of the phone and problem solved, was facing the same problem one of my two sim cards was a jio sim, did a little research and found that mostly those who were facing the issue were using jio as one of the sim cards.
The thing you need to do is go to Setting> mobile and networks > select network operators> choose the sim card which you use for data usage > select on ( Select automatically- automatically select preferred network)
I satisfied with this solution, look that you might be too.
Me too facing this issue in my j7. Using jio in slot 1. Anyone found solution ?
I called to jio customer care but they told me that your sim card is damaged. Visit nearest center to issue new sim card.
But i dont think this is the solution.
Most likely it's CSC problem , You may flashed a different CSC than yours
Check your APN settings and see if they are properly set.
hi! Has anybody found a solution to this issue? I bought a #Note9 yesterday and same issue exists. This happened on all my past devices too Samsung S7 and LGV20. I once changed the SIM card still no luck. Any update on this matter is greatly appreciated.
Hey there
I have the following situation and basically this is the reason why I've bought a dual SIM
SIM 1 - Vodafone Italy
SIM 2 - Yallo Switzerland
SIM 1 is used ONLY for receiving phone calls and I want to have it 24/7
SIM 2 is more a working SIM, I am using it for phone and internet
Evening I want to switch off SIM 2, don't want to be bothered with calls nor I care for internet.
First problem when I try to "disable" SIM 2 I got the message that the SIM is set as primary (whatever it means) so I cannot disable it (why ????????????)
Trying to findo out what is the reason I have discovered that if I select data on SIM 1, then I can switch off SIM 2 (whaaaaat ?????)
Seems that I am not free to do it
The other thing is ... to "disable" the SIM, I have to go to Settings | SIM and mobile network click on SIM 2 and disable
This is not what you want to do just before going to sleep, I expected something very easy to switch off SIM 1 or 2 based on needs
How can I solve the problem ?
Cheers
Steve
hello,
i'm using the app "dual sim selector pro" since my OP3T on android marshmallow for a sufficient dual sim management. unfortunately, on my OP5 it is not working as it should....
in phone/settings/sim&network i set all options to SIM2 as default sim. when i make a call in the phone app the dual sim selector's dual sim selection pops up (everything is fine up to here). but after choosing a sim in the popup, the call in progress screen gets minimized to the statusbar area. i always have to click on "touch to return" to get the in call screen back.
any solution for this problem?
Have you tried not using the app? I use the standard software installed without problems. Or a silly question - if the SIM in the SIM2 slot is your default then why don't you swap the SIMs around (unless it is band related)?
yes, the standard software does not have the functionalty i want.
it does not change anything to swap the sim cards...same behavior.
