Tried factory reset through safestrap like and idiot and wiped system data and started the phone up with nothing. Now, I get as far as the Samsung with the unlocked padlock and that's it. I've tried Odin back to NB1 but can't seem to find any NC1 Odin files. I was on NC1 Hyperdrive 18.1 i am clueless and about to throw the computer along with the phone out the window. Please tell me what i need to do. Thank you much.!!
Also Knox says it is 0*1 which I think is bad
In download mode it says that

There is no odin file for NC1. You have to odin back to NB1 and then update to NC1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53431153&postcount=1944 has details about the update file.

Dont worry much about the knox flag. It could become an issue only if you take your phone for warranty replacement and they check that. Also, knox enabled apps cannot be installed. Otherwise, your phone will function normally.
I've tried to Odin back countless times and it always fails at set partition

I've tried to Odin back countless times. It always stops at "Set Partition" and then fails 5 minutes later.
Do you have re-partition option selected in Odin? If so, unselect and try? The phone is in download mode right?

Yes. It's in download mode. And reparation is unchecked. Only thing checked is "auto reboot" and "F. Reset Time"

Did both of those. You think if I flash the nb1 kernel, it might have a better shot?
I'm honestly losing hope
Change your cable and the USB port it's plugged into between flash attempts. Odin seems to be pretty sensitive about this on "Set PIT File..."
It'll almost always show up in Odin, but sometimes the connection isn't solid enough to actually start the flash.

If you're lucky enough to have the guy not notice the "KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x1" they'll flash it to stock for you. He will most likely notice because checking that is one of the 1st things they look for.
Doesn't hurt to try if you're out of options though.
I would keep at it if I were you. Switch cables, computers, and 2.0/3.0 USB ports. I'll go through eventually.
Also, see if you can flash just the PDA slot and no PIT

This is the picture of my miserable failure in trying to get "Official" Status. There is a parallel thread here but because i'm not getting any good progress on it, i'm trying to isolate the issue.
So far, i've tried:
Changing cables x3
usb ports x4
reinstalling drivers
killing kies
uninstalling kies
changing computers
disable and re-enable debug
using another copy of kies but still 3.07
punch my dog
none of those have worked, i'm pretty desperate, i really dont know what to do, i've literally spent the last 5 hours working on this, going into other XDA device threads that had people with similar issues, i'm not sure what i can do anymore
My goal is to get official status, i dont care how i get there but i want to be able to have OTAs.
I am willing to bet you are having a drivers issue. Try to completely uninstall anything you have that includes drivers for the phone (Odin, Kies, ADB, and anything else you can think of. The next step will depend on what OS your PC is running as to how you will need to install the proper drivers. I see that you said you tried to reinstall the drivers, but are you sure you deleted ALL copies from your PC before reinstalling and are you sure you are trying to reinstall the correct drivers?
Yes, i am installing the correct drivers (1.5.14.0). Also i have already use a registry cleaner after uninstalling the drivers to make sure i deleted all traces of it.
EDIT: I've also just tried Odin 3.06 with the same result

First of all, if you are ever using Odin you should be removing Kies to prevent any conflicts from when the device is connected. Also make sure you have USB Debugging enabled (didn't see you mention that in your original post, so just checking).

i did actually "disable and re-enable debug", and kies is already long gone
i'll try with the newer drivers and report back. Thanks guys
edit: SAME THING DIFFERENT DAY tries with USB_Driver_v1.5.23.0 and it did the exact same thing. I noticed also in the 5 minutes its stuck at setupconnection that my screen was coming on every 30 seconds for about 15 seconds, im sure it has to do with new drivers because it didnt do that before. I dont know why the S4 is giving me such a hard time...i've used odin 20x with my S3 and never had any issues
PPS: I have tried a new computer, the 3rd. My guess is that there might be a problem with the phone, i've tried everything else.
my friend this is 100 percent a driver problem, heres how to get your phone running, go to a friend that doesnt even have a samsung phone
(most likely to have never installed the drivers before) install these drivers

then Reboot the PC/Laptop
then use this Odin

and flash your phone

No it's not. I've tried this 50 times already. I tried it on my laptop, i've tried it on a Samsung Series 9 Ultrabook i bought 3 days ago and my dad's Asus All-in-one, the last 2 computers have never even seen a samsung phone connected. It's not a driver problem.
Anyways, like i said in my other thread:
Well, i never solved the ODIN issue, but in any case, i have achieved my goal of getting official status, i had to restore phone by using the stock format function, i then use motochopped to root again and never lost official status while doing all that. I'll leave it at that for today, this gave me a headache

K, I'm trying to fix my friends verizon note 3, it's stuck in dl mode with the error "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please use software Repair assistant & try again". Phone will NOT connect to kies, I get an error saying "This phone is not supported". My version of kies does see my att n3 just fine though. I can connect to odin it looks like. Cannot boot into recovery, it just boots into dl mode with the error message. Unknown how the phone got in this state.

If it works then you can root and do the build by Beans and flash the firmware to get on rooted 4.4.2
downloading mj7 from here, I'm just in the dark about what I have on the phone, it just needs to be stock non-rooted. Didn't know if flashing the .tar would break it if I have a different firmware. I don't know how to find out if the phone won"t boot.

Sorry for the noob question here but is this similar to flashing a modem to possibly get better reception? I've done that before and no issues. I'm using Notarzed Stable 2 ROM (OB7) and don't want to screw anything up.

Got your MSL? Band priority set to 41, 26, 25? Did you do the PRL and Profile updates? Got my MSL directly from Sprint for... you guessed it; slow data.
I was Orlando twice this past Spring and data was great just about everywhere I went. Disney World even has complimentary Wi-Fi which I didn't use for days until I realized it worked in some indoor areas where Sprint was weak or dead. I had LTE at the resort, indoors.
Disneyland in Anaheim, CA? Not so good there but I've got LTE at the resort that's faster than AT&T and TWC Wi-Fi.
I'm on OB7 modem. Can't recall who but I've been told Mobile Odin isn't compatible with Note 4 when I asked about it.

Awesome, I was wondering why we could do this with the HTC phones and not the Samsungs. Guess we just needed the right people here. Before you got here freeza we were having to Odin a new update, didn't make sense to me to take a whole update, just to move on to the updated custom roms instead of just updating the baseband than you can move on or not if you want. I called Sprint customer service yesterday and when the lady answered I asked her with some authority, I need the MSL for one of the phones on my account. she said no problem I'll get that for you, I grabbed the pen and wrote the number down. if she asked why I needed the number I would have said I'm a developer and I need to access certain features of the phone to test an app I'm developing. I didn't have to go that far. Oh yeah and I was feeling lucky....

Yes indeed you need to flash it twice for a safety precaution and to ensure the file properly flashes and sticks.
I was a victim once, didn't know about needing to flash twice so I flashed it just once and it didn't stick.

You need to flash a OF5 rom after you flash the OF5 baseband. Or you can use Notarized Rom with OF5 baseband.
Hi, my 910G started to restart. Today, didn't boot anymore. Not even in Recovery. But now is on Download mode and says "mmc_read-fail". I've read that it could be a hard problem.. but maybe it could be a partition problem. IN that case, I need the pit file, but I can't find it. I tried to flash the stock rom using oding, but i get olways an error :S.
Please, help me!
If you can't even get to odin without mmc read, maybe it is your memory. Sorry I couldn't help, can't beat hardware failures. .Best of luck
I can give you two suggestions
1)Start from scratch.
Remove any samsung related prog from control panel of your computer
Then flash stock firmware with odin
2)Try to claim warranty and tell them you get custom when you are trying to fix it from Internet

But if I do that processs, and enter to recovery, tap "reset normal mode", the phone works great... What could it be?

Well, this is the new "panorama":
The phone started again, when I installed the Singapure 5.1.1 N910G Version. Then, I've installed Nameless Rom 5.1.1 Stock. In the first reboot, it reboot again, and show "MCC READING ERROR" with "Download Mode". Turned it off and on, and it works again.
The thing is that the phone wasn't working 100%. Maybe in one reboot, it works flawless for 10 minuts. Then, get a call and the phone get stuck. Need to take battery out, to get it work.
So I've installed Australian Version 5.1.1. The same. Maybe its thing of me, but I think that when I try the phone with the Sim inside, its when it worse work. It's more common to have lag in an app.
I'm getting mad, really. I want to sell it, and I can't sell it like this... because I don't know if it will work or fail.

#1. Flash one thing and stop messing with it! DO NOT install anything else but stock TW ROMs until you get it working.
#2 Flash the correct firmware (MODEL/BOOTLOADER VERSION)
#3 After ODIN flash, from stock recovery choose reset to factory default.

Well, I did that. Installed N910GDTU1COJ3_N910GXSA1COJ3_N910GDTU1COJ3_HOME.tar (Australian SM910G Unbranded). And still the same.... what it could be? maybe something inside is breaking? like... sulfated chipset or ...something? its very annoyng not to have any visible error

K. Post the contents of the ODIN window so I can look at it.
Either in a reply post or on http://pastebin.com/ and PM me the link

Here you have it. I done what you told me. Installed from scratch with odin, and then Factory Reset. Sometimes it takes long to boot (like, stays in "galaxy note 4 boot screen for 15 seconds). And when it turn on, it takes its time to show lockscreen.

Ok, I'm tracking now. Been helping 2-3 people and got mixed up.
I did find this.... So if anyone with a working N910G, they can do this.
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/out.pit bs=8 count=580 skip=2176
Need to be rooted and busybox installed.
I've found it multiple places.
Here's with a S4. Same commands, same parition

Correct.
I guess it's possible yours is broken. Not sure how. Except possibly flashing the wrong firmware from a different model or make phone.
That's one thing I have give Samsung a little credit on. They are trying to at least make the phone where they can't get f*cked up.
It does cost them money also to replace the phones that get wrecked by people flashing stuff randomly and turning them back in under warranty.
Not directing this at you. Hell I've turned a phone in I messed with.
I think it was messed up when I got it but I'll never know since I starting hacking into it as soon as I got it.
@takato23 @dicksteele
I've done the command on my N910G. I hope this helps. :good:

So I have to flash the pit file alone, using re partition enabled in Odin? Or the pit file and the firmware?

Yeah, I have read a lot... I think that just flashig .pit file has to be enough... but... I'm pretty scared also haha
I wanted to install xposed framework on my S7 edge but it failed due to some reason about not being able to mount/system or something. To fix that, i reformatted my /system and /data to FAT from TWRP. part way through reformatting /data, it froze and i restarted my phone, now it was unable to boot into recovery. I then attempted to reinstall the stock rom from ODIN and now it boots straight into a flat orange screen. Within this screen, i can hear the change in volume when i press the volume buttons, the LED on my phone is on (blue) and i can turn the screen on and off with the power button. It seems like a normal functioning phone, just with an orange screen that wont change.
If anyone can help me fix this problem i would really appreciate it, any help is valuable and if you need anything that im able to provide, i will.
Thanks.
Edit: I can sometimes get it into download mode and the TWRP screen loads, but then nothing happens.
I may not be able to fix your problem but I am curious, why would you format to FAT when the standard filesystem used is ext4?

I watched a video and it said to do it, yes, it was a bad idea.
What i have done was reinstall TWRP and it works now. Still orange screen. Where do i go from here?
Why on earth did you format to FAT? Android/data, /system and /boot are EXT4. /sd card is FAT.
Think you'll have to reflash stock firmware with Odin, assuming you can still get into download mode. Your non-external sd card data is probably history though.

Yes sir.
And you've extracted the necessary .tar etc files from the stock FW? I'm assuming you are very new to this, just making sure you're covering everything. And please describe exactly what happened when you tried to flash Xposed. Which version, installer etc. A screenshots of your Odin fail would be helpful too.

Wrong firmware. You're flashing 930F, that's for the "flat" S7. You need 935F firmware.

Yep, that should do. Don't know where you got it, samfirmware is the place otherwise. Is your original firmware branded, i.e are you tied to a specific network carrier?

I found the optus version. Is there any reason to download that over the standard one?
OK. We'll sort this out! I'm no expert, but I've made every f-up possible with Odin/TWRP, so I'm an expert at rectifying my mistakes...
Off out for lunch, back in 2 hours. Hopefully you'll be fixed by then but I'll check. One other thing in Odin - in options, check "F-reset time" but NOTHING ELSE.

Don't think so, but I've never been carrier locked. I'd use it just to get up and running again, you can always flash something else later.
