[Q] portable battery not working?Hi - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I'm in a bit of a trouble here. My battery is running low but I have a fully charged external battery that connects via USB. T he problem is that as soon as I connect it, the phone says 'charging' but disconnects right away, even the portable battery.
Why is this, am I missing any setting?

Is my battery on the way out???

Hi,
I've had my XDAII for just over a year and I think the battery is starting to die!
I seem to be having a number of problems:
- When I put it in the cradle it doesn't seem to charge unless the PC is switched on, even though I have the AC Power Adaptor connected - it didn't used to do this.
- When the PC is on, it says it's charging but seems to be losing charge very slowly. It's been on 87% for a while now and just dropped to 86%.
- The backup battery seems to die very quickly. It only goes up to 50% and if I take out the main battery for even just a few minutes it goes down to 25%.
- Also, the PC doesn't recognise the XDAII 9 times out of 10. If I keep taking it out of the cradle and putting it back in it will eventually recognise it - but most of the time it just tells me a device connected to the PC has malfunctioned.
Can anyone help? Is it a problem with the battery or perhaps it's just the cradle??
Problem is, I've lost the adaptor that enables you to charge the XDAII without using the cradle, so I can't test it.
Please help!!
Thanks

Nuked the battery on my HP 614c - any ideas?

Help
seemed to have killed the battery on my HP614c ->
battery was at lowest point ( ie last bar) but had check my email for something urgent so i hooked the HP614c up to my laptop and used internet sharing,
the power from the usb was keeping the fone alive - phone tried to switch off about 5 times but usb power was keeping it from doing so, eventually the phone auto powered off but by that time the battery was left with no charge in it what so ever !!
If i start in sd loader the charging light comes on (ie it seems to be charging the battery then), but when phone is off or if phone is switched on in normal mode, the battery does not charge at all - i think I have killed the battery totally. If i switch the phone on the charging light would come on but there is not enough power in the battery to be on for more than one second .
Is there any other mode like bootloader that will enable me to only charge the battery up ?
or does it look like I have to buy another one
have you tried leaving it charging all night with the AC adapter?
I had same problem with a blueangel...
Solution? Buy a new one battery.
ok , strange one ...
got another hp 614c handset, but both batteries charge on the new fone
(so it wasnt the battery)
basically on the old phone what happened is that when the battery was at its lowest , i connected it to internet sharing via usb port
( it kept trying to turn off but stayed on - which i though was due to usb power keeping it alive ) - that was the last time the phone was able to ''charge''... it was charging perfectly before that.
so i 2nd presumed i had damaged the usb part of the old phone
however when i connect it to usb the phone connects via active sync perfectly and as a storage device ! it is fully operational apart from charging of the battery ?
surely if the usb port was damaged it would not connect via active sync etc ?
I am confused ..
anyone shed any light on this?
FOUND THE PROBLEM
MY 64 GB USB STICK (WHICH WAS PLUGGED INTO THE SAME PORT ) IS DEAD ALSO !!
LOOKS LIKE A PROBLEM WITH THE DESKTOP COMPUTER - MAYBE A POWER SURGE
..... ARRRRRGGGGHHH ( APOLOGIES FOR ANY WASTED TIME )
STILL SEEMS STRANGE THAT THE USB TO PC PART OF IT WORKS FINE STILL BUT NO CHARGING? WHY IS THIS?
Solution (for me anyway) for battery problems
Hi!
I had this problem some time ago.
If you use 220v charger connected to the phone, the red light will probably be on.
Try to take out the battery. Connect the phone to your charger (without battery in it) and wait for the light to go green. Then put back your battery and wait.
If this doesn't work, you can use an external charger.
I had this problem 3 times. This fixed it every time for me.

Using PDANET and my phone dies anyway??

Hey all, i have an odd one that i wanted some opinions on. I've been working a convention for the weekend and have been using my desktop PC for audio work. Since the desktop doesn't have a wifi card, i connected my evo to the hotels wifi and then connected it to the desktop via PDANET. i've been running it all day, about 11 hours now and even though the phone reports 98 percent, it just clicked off. No warning, no low battery, just off. When i plugged it back in via wall adapter the battery reads 3%.
My assumption is that running WIFI drained more juice then the USB power could supply and this killed the phone. My question is, how come the phone reported a full battery and subsequently neglected to display any low battery warnings?
I tether using usb with pdanet 4 days a week anywhere from 6 to 12 hours. Never had that problem. Might be a setting to not charge while tethering.
than its ur phone pdanet does not kill battery

[Q] Tegra Note 7 battery drain when connected to PC via USB

Hi, I would to ask what could be the problem of my tegra note 7. sometimes it heats up and drains battery when connected to PC via USB..I connected it to my PC at around 38% and left it without any apps open and wifi turned off hoping that it would charge a little but later upon my checking the battery went down to 16% and the tablet is hot. Please help what could be the cause of this? my tablet does charge normally when connected to the wall adapter or charged connected to the pc while turned off...

Battery or USB Charging port issue?

I have trouble charging my S7 edge, It simply refuses to charge shows me that I have plugged in my USB charger by giving me a white lightning symbol but then disappears after 3 seconds or so and does not charge..
Here is a what happens after experimenting.
extremely Slow charge and fast drain - My phone stays on in "Download Mode" whilst plugged in - 4/5 hours later I had 26% after 30 mins mild use took it down to 13%
No USB Connection detected? - Whilst I had some battery life I have no USB connection in either ODIN / FIle transfer at all with my computer
No Wireless Dock Charge - I Attempted to charge my device by wireless , it also refuses this.
Its like my phone will only accept bare minimum power ? but im confused to why no file transfer is not possible if it was a battery issue?
Thanks
