Hi there,
I would like to know if is has disadvantages in your opinion to publish a local app for other countries then where the app is meant for?
I don't want negative comments in the market like: I can't use this app in this country, but on the other hand we would like to target at some people who live at the borders of my country.
Specially the experiences from other companies are really interesting to me!
Sorry when this is the wrong place to ask, but it seems that there should be some of you with some experience about this!
Thank you for your reply!

I haven't tried this myself, but I think as long as you make a very clear note that the app is only useful in your country in the Market description, it should be ok. The reason I think you should still make it international is that people who live in another country but who are planning to come to yours might want it, if for example it has transport or touristy information.
thanks! We are not sure yet what to do... Mentioning it in de application description seems not so professional to us. Maybe we can make a note in the application itself.
have you seen the comments in the android market? if you don't mention it in the app description then you are going to be bombarded with low ratings and bad comments from people who are wasting their time downloading it.
^^don't want to sound like a douche, but anything to curb useless/repetitive market comments is seen as professional in my eyes
I think you should make it international and should also mention it in the description.
But people are still going to download it without reading the description or title or looking at the icon or screen shots and then complain that it lagged their phone and doesn't work at all, one star.
Hey there, I am looking for a dev to help me realise a dream I have of making a multi-lingual picture decorating program. If you have ever been to Japan or Korea, you know that the picture sticker booths are madly popular amoung people under 20. I think that with the huge android base in korea and the sparking android community in japan, this app has potential to be incredibly successful. I already have friends in japan and korea who could help with information and of course they have agreed on translating everything.
If you think you could be good at developing a program like this, I would love to work with you!
Thanks.

Nobody's interested? Really?
Hi,
What working arrangement do you propose?
What features do you envision for this application?
I am a dev always looking for projects.
Thanks,
Barry.
Well, I would like to work very closely with the developer (I'm a dev of sorts too so I know how important it is to work closely with the "customer"). I would be very specific as to how things should look and work. I'm almost always available, too, so the project should progress quickly. At first, I'd just like a working English version of the program, and Korean and Japanese versions could be built after (since I'm assuming your preferred language is English). Anywho, I am thinking that this App would be a paid app (no good place for advertisements) and I feel that the Dev and I could split any revenue 50/50 (I think this app could sell a minimum of 10k copies... though I'm an optimist).
I hope that answered your first question. Let me know if I misconstrued.
Features? Without getting into too much detail on the public board, I would like it to be able to take pictures from the gallery (and to have camera access) and then do something like this to them.

Thanks for your time and consideration. I hope you'll take on the project!
canalrun?
Anybody else? Come on this will be fun!

probably not. I just dont have the time to play around in an environment i am not overly familiar with. Thats why i would like to work with a more experienced android programmer/developer.
Still open for takers...
There are tutorials for it, and app inventor is almost foolproof. I've done a Talking Tom app in less then a day.

Hey guys I have a promo code for moto x. I will give it to first senior member or above who replies here.
GOGOGO
Offer it to any member please. Every member deserves the ability to save $150, especially considering that code disintegrates at midnight.

Ok. I just hope that person won't be one-post-member.

I have an unused one. PM me if you want it,
I have a similar post up and it's had 83 views and not one person sent me a PM. I'm not even asking them to do anything crazy or taxing. A simple PM will result in a code and these lazy people aren't even going to do that. I don't want just anyone to grab the code and use it. I want a developer to grab it and use it to create new content for this awesome device. Is that too much to ask for? More so, I don't want some clown to take the code and then try to sell it on Ebay or CL.
I'm just trying to keep things honest and beneficial to the XDA community. Understand though, I already have a Moto X and I won't use this code. If it disintegrates at midnight I couldn't care less. I'm just wanting to help push this Moto X community forward. You can think whatever you want but I'm not concerned.
I got this for my wife who changed her mind at the last minute this morning and I'm trying to be nice and give it away. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Not everyone is a dev on XDA, my friend as though that we be wonderful if it were true, it isnt. Likelihood is, any dev who wanted one KNEW they wanted one, and thus have already acquired a code and arent looking for one with 8 hours left till the deadline. please. Dont let the code disintegrate. Let some poor soul who is still unfortunately looking, get it. No one is going to attempt to buy/sell these codes with such a tiny time frame left. Would you?

Dude, I get what you're saying and I definitely don't think that everyone on XDA is a developer. That's not the point that I was making at all. I want to give the code away and all I was asking was for someone to PM me for it. I know that there are people who want to develop for the Moto X and would consider buying one at this discounted price to be able to do that. Obviously I'm not planning on selling it or I would've instantly have done that. It drives me crazy that people are even doing that in the first place.
Two Promo Codes Expiring midnight (EST) tonight
I have two Moto-X $150 Promo Codes, which I am ready to share whoever sends me the PM first. One Code per Member. I would request to please ask for the Code, only if you are 100% sure you are going to buy the Moto-X today.

I have 1 too just in case
I'm blown away that we have codes available for people to use and no one is contacting us to snag one. SMH. Just a couple of days ago people were foaming at the mouth to get a promo code.

Gave my code to "royopata"
Aww man. I just saw this. I registered here just to comment that I wanted one (and I don't have any plans of selling it, mind you. I don't have a Moto X). Oh well. Now that I have an account here (instead of being a "guest" when viewing posts), might as well join in on this.
Hi guys,
2 weeks ago I published my new paid app on Google Play, and first couple of days I go 25 downloads a day, but last days, I get only 1, 2 or even no download a day. App was 3. in Top selling news in education, now it fell to lower posts. A lot of people like the app, desing and everything. I was putting a lot of work and time in the app, I was happy first days, but now I'm disappointed. I know that downloads will naturaly fall in time, but this? So what am I doing wrong? Do you have any tips to promote the app more?
I discovered this site appszoom.com, you can buy there review for 100$ and they do it in 48 hours and you have your review for 4 days on their homepage. What do you think of that?
Also, what price should I set it on? It was on 0,99$, but I think it's too low and if I set it on 1.99$ people say that it's too expensive...
If you buy my app, coud you please write some nice review? People that like it don't write reviews and then they are just haters, that write just for the fun...
App is called Science in Pocket, just search "Science in Pocket Serpentcorp". I have lite version without ads too.
Thanks for any advice!

How are you marketing your app right now?
I'd advice against spending $100 on stuff like reviews etc unless you know exactly what you're doing, and that you have a killer app. Try free things first and see if you can get something going that way first, and save your money until you know more about where to spend them.

Hey guys. I know how hard it is to get users and reviews for our Apps. Been there 3 times. Wanted to share my 1 cent, it may help someone here. I got around 100 free installs and reviews for my Android App using this service called install4install.com. The concept is simple. You install and review other developers Apps and they do the same for you. Plus, you can get demographics/comments/suggestions/bug reports as well that you can use to solidify your app further. What do you guys think?

How many apps did you install and review yourself?
Did you get all 5s? Did you give all 5s? I am just asking just to understand the community, as if it is too "generous" it may be seen by Google as dishonest promotion. I would prefer some true 4s here and there than all artificial 5s.
Its at pure will of the users. If they like your App, they may give 5 or 4. I got 3's as well. I personally reviewed quite a lot and still do it to get points. Try it, its awesome!!
Looks interesting. It may be useful for new apps. For apps already with hundreds of reviews, I think it's not the effort.
I started using it for my new game, it seems good
it is good for somebody who can write review.
Pretty interesting concept, but is it truly scalable? Also, wondering what kind of users (quality or not) will be the ones installing your app..
Hi, You can try some app review exchange websites.
They was good on start. But today you should featuring you apps to get more than 10 reviews.
