Hello to all.
I was given the chance of buying an S4 LTE (i9506) locked to Orange network, from France, to my dad.
It happens that i've been searching all over and didn't find any conclusive guide! 1st and most important, i want to unlock simcard (i'm not from france) so i can use my own. Then i want to root it and i was thinking about flashing the latest original stock rom from my country or a custom rom.
Can you guys point me to a conclusive guide, please? I'm not sure about that Knox thing...
I'm not new to flashing & unlocking... i once had an S2 with custom root/kernel but now i've changed to Nexus 5. Best thing i did ever.
Phone Android Version: 4.4.2
Baseband: i9506XXUCNF3

Finally i found the Stock ROM for the GT-P1010 (Froyo 2.2.1) in PT-BR. Now you can downgrade your device any time. The FROYO.UJKM5 is the version 2.2.2 (not found on internet), but you can install FROYO.UJKB4 version 2.2.1 Latin America Region and try upgrade for 2.2.2 through Kies.

I recently updated my Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900M) to the official android 5.0 lollipop firmware from Samsung. But after having done this, I lost my root permissions that I had attained while I had KitKat. Has anyone been able to re-obtain root permissions for the SM-G900M variant after having upgraded from KitKat to Lollipop?

Yes I have been able, i just did the same process as in KitKat. i Just flashed through Odin the latest CF-Auto-Root file for the G900M, though it says it's for Android 4.4.2, it actually worked. Did this on Stock Lollipop BOA3 and BOB3.
Seeing you are from Veracruz :highfive: , hope you flashed Trinidad and Tobago ROM, just like me, since it's bloatware free. :good:

I SERIOUSLY wish that I would have known this. I flashed the Argentina ROM and it is FILLED with bloatware and my phone takes longer to boot because of it. It also gets hotter and I suspect that may be playing a major role in it. Thank you again! I will try this and let you know how it goes!

Flashed NO Carirer One
I just installed the 5.0 Mexico ROM, no carrier and it does not come with bloatware. I did this since I bought an Unlocked version from Best Buy, I just placed a SIM Card and phone worked with no problems!

there is anyway to update to lollipop and keep root and knox 0x0, i found to g900A e g900F, any luck to do to g900m?

How to flash Android 11 firmware Samsung Galaxy A51 SM-A515F using ODIN
Galaxy A51 SM-A515F, Build number: DUB1, Region: Russia, Security patch level: February 1, 2021, Bit/Binary/U: 4. You can downgrade it to Android 10 because the Binary is same with latest Android 10 update.
Use it at your own risk! Follow the instructions carefully and Make sure to backup all your important data!
Flashing instructions on Samsung Galaxy A51 SM-A515F
Download and Extract (unzip) the firmware file ( AP, BL, CP, CSC )
Enter Download Mode : Turn Power Off. Press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down key together, while pressing these keys, connect the phone to computer, then press volume up once.
Open Odin: Add the firmware files AP, BL, CP and CSC.
In Option make sure to ticked F.Reset Time and Auto-Reboot only
Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes
Setup the Phone
Done!

When I published this post samfw.com ( Free ) and sammobile.com is working, you can download it from the website. The update is available for Russia only right now. TWRP does not available yet, but we can root it using magisk

If you have A515F yeah, you can use this software without problem. You're not going to lose signal.
