Root for AT&T 4.4.2 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Hi,
I've rooted 4.3 MK2 and kept it so far without upgrading. I think the latest version is 4.4.2.
Is there a way to upgrade and keep root? I remembered some posts before but I can't find it any more.
Thanks

[Q] Updating a rooted note 3

Hi, I am new to rooting the android. I tried looking around but couldn't find a clear guide.
I am looking on how to update my verizon Galaxy Note 3 that's on version 4.3 MJ7 (Hyperdrive RLS4 rom, model N900V) while preserving the root. Or would I have to loose root for a while and then re-root? Ultimately I am looking to install the newest Hyperdrive rom, but I believe I would have to update the stock firmware first?
Would be great to get some tips on how to do this. Thanks!

I tried kies and the update assistant, my only real way to get updated was to push the updated rom via ODIN

Kitkat on Lollipop bootloader

Okay so I followed the Lollipop Root guide perfectly, and I know I did, however the SS flash kept bricking my phone so I just gave up and took the official OTA.
Can I downgrade my phone back to Kitkat, even though the Bootloader is now updated to Lollipop? Or will I have to wait for someone to find a new exploit in Lollipop?
No wait... just check the Q & A sticky
Q&A doesnt talk about updated bootloaders and out-of-date kernels working together.
Yes. I bought my S5 off a guy on FB. Had 5.0 on it. Downgraded it back to MK2 444 with Odin

[Q] i337s4 att odin/safestrap 4.4.4 to 5.0 ?

I have the att i337 (galaxy s4) that i have rooted and have safestrap 3.72 installed on. I followed the directions http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att/general/guide-odin-to-stock-updating-rooting-t2926642 for the installation.
recently i saw that android 5.0 was released for this phone. I currently am as 4.4.4
what's the best way for me to update the phone. I've tried ota, but it failed.
can i just remove the safestrap software and do the update then? I really don't want to lose my information on the phone again
You could follow the keep root guide in general section.. Try to keep questions in the correct thread thanks and good luck..

N900v 4.4.4 NK1 root

Hi all,
I not sure if this has been posted before. I just wanted to know if there is a method to root this phone now or is there anyway I can downgrade to 4.4.2 and root the phone. I am currently stuck with the stock rom and I would like to root my phone and make the performance better and battery better.
No to each of your questions - no root on 4.4.4 and no downgrade.
