Hi,
I am new to the XDA II, and am haveing problems getting the Phone to Vibrate. I have tried the Ring and Vibrate option, as well as just Vibrate on its on. Whe I reing the phone, it does not Vibrate.
I have used the new Unlock program to remove the simlock, which works ok.
I have just bought this phone, so not sure If I should take it back to shop.
I have ROM: 1.72WWE
Thanks,
BK
Fixed it, by removing the V2R Stuff from O2. Is this the only way to fix it ?
Bugger, I've got the same problem. Mine use to work 100% untill the phone did a Hard Reset by it's self one morning after reinstalling all the apps and getting all my data back. The Vibrate stopped working.. I have all the vibrate checkboxes and options right but it does still not vibrate..
Any one got any ideas? any other apps that might be causing this?
I'm running the Australian ROM (Latest official release).
CHEERS!
I guess the quickest way to troubleshoot this, is to Hard Reset, test Vibrate, install few apps, r-test, etc.
Suddenly this morning I woke up and my Neo's arlam kept ringing, but no notification window popped-up to help me disable it. Does anyone have the same problem? please help. Many thanks
I had a similar problem recently ; wake up ringing and reminder alarms were activated but without any popup visible--> any possibility to stop !!
I hard reset the device and reinstall an old backup ( ten day old ..) due to problem to idenfy wich application installed in the mean time was the real cause.
now everything run correctly !!!
I hate to do the hard reset though Is there any other way like tweaking the registry? If I had to hard reset you know where i could download the most updated rom? I'm using the 121 Dopod version, but dont know where to dl it. Many thanks...
Last week my jade started vibration without stopping. i had to remove te battery to stop it. since then, vibrate mode is not working anymore. Anyone had that problem or know a solution for this or is broken?
thx
Do u mean the vibration dosen't stop even after ring stop for exampel ?
sorry for my bad eng
I believe that is a hardware problem.
last week it just started to vibrate after receiving an sms and it didn't stop so i had to remove the battery. when i restarted the phone later and i selected the vibrate function it didn't work anymore. is it a kind of engine in the phone or how does that work?

This has happened to me and I have done a SOFT RESET and that fixed it and it still works.
To have a defined initial situation you should do a soft-reset (button behind the back-cage). If the vibration does not work after that we have an hardware defect, IMO.
In this case you should give it so service.
i already did soft resets, hard resets, other roms, nothing helped. so it must be a hardware malfunction

Yes, you have to face this.
So I got a S4 last week. Its currently stock and unrooted.
I just noticed today that no matter what vibrate settings I check, the phone just no longer vibrates.
I've made sure any and every vibrate setting is turned on. I went through any app that can notify you or has notification settings and everything is set to vibrate. Haptic feedback and the vibration intensity are all the way up. I've tried power cycling the phone, removing the battery, resetting the app defaults. And nothing is working. I havent dropped the phone and it's not been damaged any other way.
It was literally just working the other day. I'm confused
Any suggestions are welcome.

The vibration motor is literally the ONLY moving part on the device.
I am surprised we don't get more of these...
If a factory reset does not restore the vibration, I would say it is hardware and take it back to AT&T.

You can have the store replace it with a brand new one. I have never had this issue, so the chances that your replacement phone will have the issues are very slim.
Hi Guys,
i got freezes when i charge it overnight (its connected to the original charger the whole night). I only can do a hard reset to use my device again because the touch-screen doesnt work then. This is very annoying because i use my device with Alarm to get up in the morning.
I already did a few clean installs (Cyanogenod Snapshots and Danvdh's Google Edition), wiped all caches and formated all data and caches aswell. I still got freezes. I get them from waking up my device (mostly in the morning between 5-6 am). All i see is a exclamation mark when i turn on the display. Then its frozen and i cant anything.
I already tried a few Modems and Kernels to test, but still freezes...
I use Modem I9505XXUGNK4 atm.
Any ideas ??? I really Need help with this !!!
Thanks

Have you tried the new 5.0 gpe from danvh? There was an issue with the charging animation and reboots.
yes, i got Dan's 5.0 gpe at the moment 12.17.2014
Dumb question, did you clear /system in between flashes as well?
Yes, i formated System and Cache + i wiped everything too
You should flash the latest stock firmware and see if the issue persists. If yes, try a different charger. If the problem still persists, I think it's a hardware problem. Probably battery or motherboard.
The Problem is only between 5-6 am. The whole day i got no Problems Should be a Problem with my Router maybe ?
i got no resets in my Settings there. maybe my Provider is doing a reset every day between 5-6 am and my device freezes then. i could try airplane mode too to test, right ?
I bought a new charger and battery today (both original). Maybe thats the problem.
i got News guys, i turned off wifi overnight an didnt plugged the charger to my device this night. No freeze !!! Yay !!!
So it only could be, charger, battery or Wifi, right ?
ok, i had a freeze at work a while ago. but i got no wifi or charger there... now i dont know what to do
Does it behave like this?:
You pick up the phone (it is in deepsleep),try to turn the screen on,it goes on,you try to unlock the screen and it just stops reacting to anything and turns the screen off after 20-30seconds?

i had the same problem, the only way to get rid of it is to send it in/get the motherboard replaced.this is faulty hardware, not a software problem
Damn, but i already got know activated. i dont get one for free Its about 1 and a half year old. The problem was solved a few snapshots form cm earlier and its only between 5-6 am. do you think its really a mainboard problem ?

can`t help you with that, hope you have luck and fix it
Same problem
Hy people, i have the same problem, but is not a specific hour when it freez, yesterday i picked up the phone and when i unlocked the screen, it freezed, but i don.t wait 30sec, i just lock/unlock it again and it work fine. The other problem was overheating..
and randomly restarting but i think i fixed it with a factory reset. What i want to tell now is that i installed "Root booster" before all these problemsc ocured. After it played with the kernel, do you all thing it might not restored the original settings? My phone is randomly heating sice i installed that **** on it...(even if i do factory reset)
Ps: i have a stock kernel/gt_505
Or the battery is guilty? It's draing pretty fast, after a day of use i put it to charge
(Solved)

Hy, i haved the same problem, but what i did yesterday solved that. I hope this steps will help you:
1. Enter in Recovery Mode and select wipe data/factory reset
2. Clear cache partition
3. Go in Settings/More/App Manager and search for Touchwiz Home
4. Force stop then Clear data
5. Withouth exit from settings, restart your phone
6. When phone is on, screen will be black and will ask you witch program you wanna use, select Touchwiz home then press "always"
After this steps, i solved the problem for my phone, but another thing i done after that is delete all knox files with Titanium backup.
I hope this steps myght help you.
Thanks guys, but i got a nexus 5 now. Bye Samsung. Thanks anyway for help.
