Sony's Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact smartphones, which are expected to be officially unveiled at the upcoming IFA 2015 to be held in Berlin, are once again the subject of rumor mills as an image showing the two devices on top of each other has been leaked.
The image was uploaded by prolific leaker ViziLeaks on Twitter, sparking discussion on some details that can be discerned through the picture.
The picture that ViziLeaksuploaded*shows the sides of the two smartphones in detail. The thing that stands out is how the fingerprint scanner for the Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact look like and where exactly they are located on the side of the devices. The fingerprint scanner is embedded in the power buttons of the smartphones.
It can also be seen that the volume rockers for both smartphones are placed below the fingerprint scanners, similar to previous Xperia devices albeit much lower than usual.
According to ViziLeaks in the comments, the two smartphones are shown in the picture with no case or bumper installed, meaning that the image shows what the Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact really look like. As they are, the two smartphones appear to be continuing the OmniBalance design language that Sony has developed.
The placement of the volume rockers, however, is subject to*debate*on whether their location is an ideal one. It could be difficult to access the volume rockers using only one hand, especially on the smaller Xperia Z5 Compact, but only hands-on testing in the future will tell whether that is the case or not.
The larger model of the Xperia Z5, possibly named the Xperia Z5 Ultra, is not included in the image uploaded by ViziLeaks. However, it will also most likely feature the same design and button placements as the Xperia Z5 and the Xperia Z5 Compact.
The fingerprint scanner feature is slowly becoming a standard feature on flagship smartphones. Also, its inclusion in the Xperia Z5 smartphones shows the significance of these devices in Sony's plans.
The Xperia Z5 is expected*feature*a 5.5-inch display with 1080p resolution and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with 3GB of RAM and an internal memory capacity of 32GB.*

I don't think there's going to be a Z5 Ultra.
Only C5 Ultra

C5 Ultra does look amazing and I am a little bit hopeful that a Z series phablet successor could exist, but with Z3x and Z4 ultra rumour before, it is hard not to be sceptic.
At least sony IFA event on 2nd September is not that far-off
Z5 ultra! (z5+)

I didn't make this video. I wanted to share it since I found that the video shows the true potential of the Xperia X series.
Display is a lot better than the normal Xperia Z5(fhd).
You will see a difference in the camera quality as well.
