Ok guys and girls I am pretty new at rooting a phone and the only reason I did was to see f I can use this Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900R4 from US Cellular. I called Samsung and was told to call US Cellular to find out how to use the phone on another network. US Cellular told me that the simcard reader would not read a sim card from another carrier. I installed my working Net10 sim card and the phone sys invalid sim card and does not ask for an unlock code, it just continues to say invalid sim card and I obviously have no network. I rooted the phone with CF-Auto Root and everything went well and SuperSU is installed. Phone still says invalid sim card and will not give me a network. I know settings can be changed with a rooted phone but don't know how to change these settings to make the phone use my network sim card. I use Net10 and he sim card works in my Galaxy S2 but I would very much like to use my new S5 phone. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

Check if your phone is sim locked by using secret code *#7465625#
Or install Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Secret Codes' > 7465625 and tap 'Launch 0' to launch (root required).
I believe it is, it says
Network Lock
Network Subset Lock
SP lock
CP Lock

You can enter it without a network connection. When you get your unlock code it will come with instructions.
You need to stick in a SIM card from another carrier and it will prompt you for the unlock code. I have my code, but haven't had the opportunity to put in a different SIM card.

^^^ That's how you enter the unlock code
Hi Im in Iran and I got 2 galaxy s4 and both is for sprint and when I put Iran's sim card it says INVALID SIM,
after lots of callings to USA sprint they gave 6 digit code for unlocking this phone,
where should I use this code?
my sim card is GSM type,
instead of IMEI I Have MEID,
I think I tried all methods of websites like flashing with odin, *#0011#, flashphone, .....
also there is another thing I want to share, I used a software called flashphone v 1.2.2.6 .there I put the 6 digit in SPC field and after writing it it said SPC is correct the phone is unlocked.
Please help me to unlock these phones , I waist both my money and time on this.

Hi
I have a Sprint Galaxy S4 and I try desperately to put sim cards from other carriers and foreign (French) sim cards but nothing works. I always get a guy's voice saying something like "your account has not been authorized for this type of call"
I have done all the possible "unlocking" of the phone, but I'm not sure what it really means:
-I have made the procedure where you get to the hidden "service menu" type "debug screen>network lock>..." (btw my SHA256 was already off, whatever it means. No change here.) (I had to downgrade the radio)
-I have successfully done what was indicate in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2415587 with the "unlock" software, at that point the phone was not saying "invalid sim card" anymore (thanks, Autoprime!)
-I have rooted my phone, clean installed a new rom (I put negalite, quite cool)
-I have obtained my unlock code from Sprint, but I've never been able to use it. If I type ##
Code:
# I get to a menu where I prefer not touch anything
I don't know how to make sure that my phone is able to support GSM. How can I be sure? It has a SIM card slot but I'm not sure what that means (and on Sprint the phone works without the sim card). I'm going to Singapore in one month and I would have liked to use local sim cards.
That's a lot of questions! But I'm really lost here, and I don't see any post that seem to help me...
Thanks
Raph
Good,
I have been around for 3 weeks with this "big" terminal. Until yesterday, it has been working perfectly. Suddenly when I turn it on I get the following message:
Type unlock SIM
It is as if the terminal had stopped being free and needed to be released, I tried to put the SIM in both slots (MicroSIM and NanoSIM) and the same thing, I have also tried to insert the SIM of another provider with identical result. I put the same cards in another phone (MI4) and they work perfectly.
The terminal I bought it in the store Gerbeast and comes with the global ROM 8.1.2.0 (MBEMIDI), has not given me time to unblock it or anything, this is how I take it out of the box.
Does anyone know or know what this may be because of this and how to solve it?
Regards!!

Just give it your MI account password and it will unlocked. It's a security measure by MI, which is required when you change sim card.
Hi!
I just bought a Galaxy J5 2015 (J500FN ). The phone is not registering to network. The seller said that they tried to insert an "incompatible" sim card, and after that, the phone could never register on network again. I have no idea what they actually did with it.
- I thougt that the problem is with the sim holder on the motherboard. It looks fine, no problems. Every pin to connect to the sim card is in its place and i resoldered it to the motherboard to secure the connection.
- APN settings are fine too
- IMEI is showing and correct
- Tried to search for a solution in google and youtube, non of the "traditional" ways did anything.
- Updated/downgraded the original firmware with Odin
-Installed TWRP and AOSP EX (the phone was never rooted before)
-I downloaded SIM toolkit from play store and it can handle the sim card. I can see every info, just like in my working Xiaomi Redmi 1S. I can even add and delete contacts to the sim card.
- Tried with multiple sim cards
The phone is still cannot connect to my network provider. Do you have any idea what is going on with this phone?

You need to take the phone to samsung support to fix it.
