Completly messed up LG G2 , very complicated case :X - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello to everyone here is what happened.
I rooted my LG G2 and i started messing with the uninstal application, after an hour it happened that i uninstaled stuff that i need and when i tried to back it up i couldnt, i noticed that my gallery isnt working, i decided to make factory reset, after the reset i couldnt work with settings-->general-->everything there i try to open says "unfortunetly settings has stopped working"". Then after abit of research i decided that the only way to fix the phone is to flash stock firm, so far so good but i cant enter download mode, actually i cant enter recovery mode with buttons too. Phone is working though, you cant work with settings like turn on USB debugging but phone works otherwise. Then i decided to instal TWRP manager, via TWRP manager i was able to enter android recovery mode, in which u dont have ADVANCE---> TERMINAL COMMAND, so i decided to flash TWRP recovery, after flashing now i cant even open the android recovery mode, phone still boots and works!!! Sorry if i explained it bad, please help i am actually very desperate at this point

bump :good:

Great news, we fixed it thanks to KitKat recovery for LG g2, and to SQL lite, if someone has the same problem i can help him, good luck

L7 P700 bricked, need help!!!

So after installing cyanogen on my phone for the first time it all worked fine but I had no mobile data/signal at all, so I decided to try something else, but once I tried the install failed, and I didnt have access to my SD card from recovery mode, so when I tried to reboot the phone it just went into the LG logo and now its stuck at the battery screen. I've no idea how to get back to recovery mode, I can only get into emergency mode, PLEASE SOMEONE HELP! :crying: :crying: :crying:
If you can get into emergency mode, that's enough to save your phone! You can flash your phone with stock firmware (pick the one you need from this site: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=13)
You can probably find multiple threads on how to flash a KDZ file to your phone on this forum!
Good luck!!!

This is a pretty good step by step tutorial on how to unbrick your phone, easy to find on Google

you didn't have signal because you probably didn't have v20baseband flashed. You can enter emergency mode by taking out phones battery ,holding vol up and connecting phone to usb. Then flash this with kdz http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2176430 ,after that you can try flashing cmw again but you will need to change baseband to have signal if you come from ics(v10) to JB+(v20)

D803 stuck while flashing stock at 49%

Hey guys,
I have hit a dead end. I am stuck on a bootloop with no recovery installed. Actually, I do have Phliz recovery installed but it glitches everytime i try to go on it, I cant see anything apart from blurred lines. I tried flashing to stock using Lg support tool but I get stuck at 49%. Searching through XDA, I found that I have to wipe system/factory reset but I cant do that with a glitchy recovery.
What I have not tried:
- A different computer, I dont think it will help because I need to wipe the system which I cant
- ADB, i dont know how to do it
Is there anyway i can factory reset using the computer. Or is is it possible to flash another recovery such as TWRP by going into the glitchy Philz.
Any help will be much appreciated

Can you navigate the recovery menu using the volume keys? If you can then you might be able to use it blindly if you look at some screen shots of it!

Haha i tried that and I dont know if it worked but somehow the recovery started working and the first thing i did was to wipe the system. The problem im facing right now is with the LG support tool, it doesnt detect my device. Manually putting in my serial number and model doesnt help either. Using KDZ flash tools is another pain in the ass, it goes straight to the LG Support Tool without asking me to choose Country and Language
Are you on windows 8? And which guide are you following?

can not reboot into a custom recovery

I can not use my touchscreen!
For days, i am trying to solve this problem, but still can not, i am really upset about that, i need your help.
Firstly, my device was D802 international and os was 4.2.2
I rooted, installed a recovery, then installed a KitKat with Twrp.
After i wanted to turn on, i realised that the touch screen was not working properly. Actually it is so bad, that you can even not enter the menu of the phone with the touchscreen.
Then i connected a mouse to phone and went to settings. Yes, it was 4.4.2.
I had to install a new rom to solve the touchscreen problem, but i couldn't, what ever i did.
With the offline procedure of Lg flash tool (in download mode), the installation stopped every time in 15% depends on a problem of usb connection.
With the online method, it said that the batery is not enough to contunie. (But it was 100%)
Than wanted to install with Twrp or cwm. I rooted, flash the recovery but can not reboot into the recovery menu of twrp or cwm. When i press reboot into recovery, it directs me to the stock recovery of the phone. (In which there is a lying android with a red triangle above it's body)
I also tried adb(from the custom recovery menu) , pc was recognizing phone but the phone was not reacting to the commands i entered from pc.
I've searced a lot in google but couldn't find a solution.
Please help. What's the problem. What can i do?

You could try this. It worked for me, although, i had a different issue. My phone was not rebooting into recovery due to the "Secure Bootloader Error". Nevertheless, it installed cwm on my phone and i could boot into it. So, you can try it. It may or may not work

[Urgent Help Required!] Phone boots, but no download mode or recovery!

Hi,
Have a weird situation, but try as much as I may, I'm unable to resolve it.
My phone is rooted (international D802) and was running fine. Had a screen issue and got it replaced at the service center but their system identified my phone as a rooted device, and a couple of days later the problems started.
The issues I'm facing right now:
1. The phone doesn't charge when switched on, at all.
2. The phone doesn't reboot either.. not instantly anyways. If powered off, or rebooted, the phone doesn't turn back on, it just goes dead. It does boot again though if tried after a couple of hrs.
3. The phone charges when its off (shows no light or indicator though, like its bricked)
4. Cannot go into either recovery or download mode. Coz the phone doesn't boot when restarted or when i try to reboot into recovery.
5. When it does magically start after a few hrs (upon long pressing the power button), even if I try to go into download or recovery via the vol keys, it just boots to android.
6. The phone is recognized properly as LG G2 under windows and all the drivers install too.
7. The phone isn't recognized under Linux... tried both Ubuntu and Knoppix.
Travelling out of the country in a few days, really need to sort this out.
Any and all help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Somebody... Anybody? :'(
When your phone rebooted I would recommend you firstly to activate USB Debugging in the developer settings. You said your device is rooted? So try to install the Auto Rec recovery here
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=13763 - but make sure you are on Kitkat. Now, install the app normal and let the app install all things. After installation, the app asks you to reboot to recovery, now press reboot to recovery.
Maybe you have luck and the phone reboots to TWRP. In TWRP you can go to Reboot and then Reboot to Download mode.
Now (if all worked) you can flash the stock rom .kdz file of the d802 via the FlashTool 2014.
Hope you have luck, please keep me up to date if everything worked.
Yours, Flo
Good luck!!
Thanks a lot for the response Flo, but the problem is that i never got around to updating to a Kitkat rom... the rom i was never got updated and I was kinda happy with how things were working so didn't jump on to any other rom.
Anything I can do in my current situation?

LG G2 D802 brick problem (I tried different solutions)

Hello everyone!
I really hope I can find help here. I wanted to install Cyanogenmod 13 on my LG G2 D802 32GB. In the end I think I bricked my phone. I want to mention that I already searched for help on the Internet and tried many tutorials, but nothing helped.
First, I rooted my phone using this One click root method (before, I tried doing that other ways but it didn't work). So far, so good.
Then, I installed TWRP via Autorec. And here came the first problem. I booted into recovery mode and then the phone wouldn't start anymore. I started getting "Security error" along with Lg logo, when I wanted to turn on the phone. Actually I can't remember if I wiped everything in Recovery mode before or after getting this error, but I did anyway. Then I didn't get this security error message anymore, just stuck with lg logo.
Anyway I was still able to get into recovery or download mod, so I tried installing CM. But I couldn't acces my phone memory through PC and I didn't have CM installer zip on the phone. I tried copying CM installer into the phone using ADB push command. It did copy, it said it succesfully installed but since then every time I turn on my phone Lg logo just blinks for a fraction of a second and the phone will not turn on. The screen is black, but it remains "on" (there's nothing on it but you can see it's not totally turned off).
After that I tried every tutorial I could to install CM or stock ROM. I tried downloading different LG firmwares, including one found on a page where I had to enter my IMEI. But it's always the same problem: when I use LG Flashtool ( 1.0.54 ) it gets stuck. After clicking on System Upgrade I'm not asked about the language (as tutorials suggest), but it just opens LGMobile Support Tool, which says that my system is up to date.
OK, I think that's all I can say. So, the main problem is that I cannot use LG Flashtool, which is neccessary to install stock ROM in all the tutorials I have seen. Of course, I would like to install CM 13 still, but now th emost important thing is to get my phone to work again, even on stock system.
I hope we can solve this problem. Thank you all in advance!
Can you boot in download mode?
If you have download mode you can easily reflash stock
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
If you cant get to download mode you have to reflash all the partitions here is thread

or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/file-unbrick-qualcomm-9006-qhsusb-t3056800
After reflashing all partition you should be able to boot in download mode, then you can flash stock

Thanks a lot. I followed the instructions in the first post on the first site that you linked, using kdz file. Everything seemed to go well and I was already happy, but... It seemed that the stock flashed (on the computer it said that the installation was correct, on the phone the screen showed Update Software and it went to 100% percent), then the phone restarted and started updating apps for Android. And that is normal I suppose. But then, after it finished, it turned off, turned on and started installing those apps again. After that it turned off. When I wanted to turn it on, it showed me LG logo and then android logo for a fraction of a second. Then sometimes it would turn off completely and sometimes turn on again and show logos again. I assume that's what is called bootloop. So I followed the tutorial which said I should do factory hard reset. I entered the screen (power+vol down buttons), confirmed two times that I want to do the reset. It said the reset will start automatically, but nothing happened. The phone just turned off immediately and the same situation with logos (Bootlooping?) appears. So the problem now is that I cannot factory reset the phone.

I'm having a similar problem on my vs980 except I can't access recovery anymore but everything else is the same.
Edit: I actually can access recovery
You messed up pretty bad before you fixed a problem, you created another.
Have you tried to go back to stock using downoad mode and kdz?
Use this tool : http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/tools-srk-tool-useful-toos-lg-root-twrp-t3079076

OK, well, this is strange. The phone is working again, but actually I have no idea why I downloaded the tool from your link, installed it and ran. Then, following the yt tutorial, I went to the step where I was supposed to "look and remember the disk number that have so many partitions". I didn't anything there, though. And then, all of the sudden the phone started updating Android apps and then turned on as after factory reset. Weird, but it's working fine
By the way, can someone post a link to a tutorial on how to install Cyanogenmod 13 on LG G2 D802 32GB? I would still like to install it, but I want to avoid all the problems that I had now. So is there any good step by step tutorial that I could use to install CM?
Anyway, thanks all for help

Sure.
Download the rom from cyanogenmod website and put it on your phone memory.
Download Gapps from opengapps.org and place on the phone memory.
Go to recovery.
Make a full nandroid backup( all the partitions) , wipe all except internal storage.
Flash the rom along with the gaaps zip.
Reboot.
